Lauren’s Face the Day

I’ve been seeing Laura consistently for around 6 months and I can honestly say my face has never looked better. She helped clear up the breakouts I was getting and is so gentle on my sensitive skin that I don’t have to hide from humanity for days. She also has such a calming energy that you really do leave so relaxed. Highly recommend.

This a great cozy place to get pampered and they always welcome you with a treat. I found this hidden gem through Unilocal and I’m happy that I tried it based on the reviews. I needed a facial that includes extractions since my skin tends to breakout. It’s not easy to find an aesthetician that is great at doing this and so gentle and knowledgeable at the same time, that is what I found in Gloria. She’s truly amazing if you struggle with this. I keep coming back every 2 months and my skin is thankful for it!

I have been a customer at Lauren’s Face the Day for several years and every single time I visit, I’m treated like royalty, and I don’t say that lightly. From the receptionist, Odette, to the owner Lauren, everyone is absolutely fantastic. But my go-​to person is Gloria! She goes above and beyond to assist you with any questions or concerns about your skin, and takes excellent care of removing every single blemish or blackhead during your facial. She does killer eyebrows and has never led me astray when she makes product recommendations. She’s the only person I let wax my eyebrows and the only aesthetician I will ever go to (I’ve been a customer of of Gloria’s for over 10 years!). Pay her a visit, you won’t regret it!

So here is my long awaited review of this small cozy place, which by all means has changed my life. I came to Lauren with very bad skin problems caused by incompetence of another facial gal in Miami, which is worst the worst in Miami.
Let me just say Lauren told me I need to give her 3 chances before judging whether or not the treatments will work for me, and here we are 3 months after, she kept her promise and transformed my skin to its almost prior normal state. I look forward to seeing her every month. Especially since the last visit she gave me some of her delish home mangos (YES!) hehe.
The place is small and very nice, the receptionist, Odette, is the sweetest, so helpful. I suggest to book your appointments in advance ! Better to cancel it than to be left without one, if needed.
Lauren is hands down a great professional and a really nice lady overall, who deserves 5+ stars.

I have had 3 massages and 1 facial here. I have had treatments at many places and Lauren’s is up there on this list in all aspects. It’s a nice facility with competitive pricing. Massages are really great. Top three masseuse I have ever had. The others being in London and Boston. Definitely recommend.

Several friends of mine religiously go to Gloria at Lauren’s Face the Day for facials, so I wanted to give her a try. The spa is very cute and relaxing and everyone is very welcoming. My facial with Gloria was excellent! She is gentle and knowledgeable. My facial lasted about and a half and included a neck/​arm massage and a hand conditioning treatment. The products she used were very gentle and effective. She did not try to push products on me as many spas/​salons do. There’s a reason 4 or 5 girlfriends of mine are loyal to her. In fact, as I was leaving, the appointment after me was a friend’s grandmother. I can’t wait to go back and try other treatments.

Where should I begin? I have been going to Lauren’s Spa for a couple years now. With my busy schedule I find it hard at times to take some time for my self and visit the AMAZING girls that work there. When I get a chance to fit some me time in my schedule, a trip to Lauren’s is just what I need. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by the sweet and delightful receptionist. Would you like some tea, water, sweets? As I sip my tea and eat my little chocolate I enjoy the chic and relaxing ambiance. Gloria always does my facials, she is very very very good. She knows what she is doing, is very careful with your skin and knows exactly how to leave your skin shining bright like a diamond. She is a doll. The products she uses are amazing and leave your skin glowing. Not only do you get a facial but you also get your hands soften with a nice lathering lotion and warm mitts. I cant forget to mention the delicious, soothing aroma in the spa. Next time you need some quite, relaxing spa time go visit Lauren’s.

Lauren is the best!!! Like another customer mentioned, she is gentle but thorough. Will look at your skin beore you start and make suggestions. She alwys asks how your skin feels etc… The spa is simply beautiful with a calm and soothing environment.

I absolutely love Lauren’s! It’s the place I now visit when I need a wonderful facial, in a soothing atmosphere. The Pevonia products are amazing, but what really sets them apart is the fantastic and professional staff they have. I’ve tried out many local spas, even the ritzy Elemis Spa in Coral Gables, but none compare to Lauren’s, and specifically, Gloria Taboada’s personalized care. Her facials, and I’ve tried many with Gloria, leave my face looking absolutely refreshed. She was able to even tame it during my pregnancy, when it was out of control. It’s my oasis in the Gables when I need a mommy break!

Here begins my quest for a good facial in Miami. I had been going to Rescue Skincare for 6 years, but unfortunately Heather Hans left Miami. So, based on a review I read by Allure magazine, I decided to give Face the Day a go. I called, and the receptionist was great! Unfortunately, the good experience stopped there.
Yes — I live in Miami. But C’mon, not EVERYONE is a native spanish speaker. My appt was with Gloria. I needed a light peel or micro, but I def needed some exfoliation and was more than willing to pay. I filled out the form at check in regarding my skin.
She did not review it with me. She did not ask me what I wanted. Instead gave me a facial that included extractions only. Really? I was upset, but reminded myself that I don’t have to come back, which I won’t. At the end she applied a light moisturizer for sensitive skin (I was able to interpret that much). Uh — A — I have dry skin, so a light moisturizer is not appropriate, B– I don’t have sensitive skin, so no idea where she came up with that. Of course, if I had been asked what I wanted, then perhaps I would have gotten a better treatment. My skin felt as if I had just washed and added nmoisturizer at home; no improvement.
Unrelated to the service, they use Pevonia. As a personal preference, I don’t find these products to be professional grade.

I usually get my facials done at my dermatologist, but I wanted to try something new, like a place that specializes in facials. I read about Lauren’s in Allure magazine a few months ago, and for good reason it stayed in the notebook of my mind (or iPhone Notes). Lauren herself performed my facial. While I’m sure every single person that works there is just as good, I’m glad she was able to do mine. She is such a lovely lady!
They use fantastic products and left my face looking and feeling like a baby’s. It was also so relaxing! We all know facials hurt a little, but the candlelit room, the soothing music, and the face, neck, and hand massage left me feeling like a jelly fish in the end (that’s a good thing, by the way). Their prices are also a lot cheaper than at the dermatologist. It’s no surprise that I will be getting my facials here from now on.
