I couldn’t help but share my unique and amazing experience at Merlili. I was approached with such a personable and warm welcome by the staff. They helped me every step of the way. I described to them an idea of what I wanted and they made it a reality. I found my dream dress! Can’t wait till the fitting!

Horrible experience! Beware of this place. They will sell you a wedding dress, have you come for a fitting and NEVER alter it. They gave me the run around 3 times! They used many excuses as to why my dress was not tailored after 2 months! They left me a voicemail stating it would be ready today, I arrived this morning to pick it up, and NOTHING was done with my dress! The employees are not professional and barley speak English. I have never heard so many excuses as to why my appointment needed to be rescheduled. At one point they told me my seamstress is going out of the country! Thank you for almost RUINING my wedding!!! I am livid that no one cares at this boutique, HORRIBLE costumer service, they truly do NOT care!

Merlili is a beautiful place, however, I was helped by someone who looked at me up and down, asked me what size I was and basically proceeded to tell me that what they had in stock would ‘probably’ not fit me. She was pretty negative with me and all of my selections. But sure enough, when I was done with my appointment, she ensured she gave me her name, the information about the gown that fit me the best and her contact information. The dress I tried on was indeed gorgeous, but probably something I won’t be moving forward with. Every other consultant seemed so pleasant and sweet, I guess I just got bad luck the day I went.

Thank you very much for my dress! I looked like a superstar on my wedding! Wish many girls to find their ideal dress in this store!

I was helped by Olympia and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help me that day! She was so kind and she was very helpful when it came down to my 47÷43÷54 measurements. I found my dress that very same day. First store, first dress actually!
I was personally discouraged to find out that most stores only carry sample sizes, so us plus sized girls have it pretty hard when it comes to trying on certain dresses. The only plus size dresses I found were at David’s Bridal, but they had nothing on Merlili’s glamour.
Their prices are great too. My Allure dress has a lot of tulle, a lot of lace, and bling in all the right places. Cost: $ 1700.
My 3 bridesmaids plus maid of honor bought their dresses there too, also the same day! Olympia helped us find the perfect shade for the girl’s dresses.
My only complaint would be that we were not informed about the extra charges each dress came with. Plus, 2 of my girls were considered plus size and they failed to mention it would be $ 25.00 extra even though they took the measurements the same day. Not to mention the gown alterations were going to be about $ 350.
Great service but, most people like to know exactly what they’ll be spending since successful wedding finances are mainly about how you budget.

After visiting another store and feeling underwhelmed by their selection of dresses, I visited Merlili and found the dress of my dreams. From the moment I tried it on, I knew it was «the one.» I waited a bit long to order my dress, but the owner and staff at Merlili were able to get it just in time for my wedding. They were so sweet and accommodating throughout the entire process! You can’t go wrong with Merlili. The owner, Lilly, truly cares about her brides! Thank you, Merlili, for making me feel like a princess on my wedding day!

I am so disappointed with Merlili!!!
First my dress took an extremely long time to arrive, but I thought hey, it’s the manufacturer’s fault not the store, don’t fret, but when it did arrive they didn’t call me I had to call them, then it took them a month to schedule the 1^st fitting, then afterwards they were to make simple alterations to the dress, which took two months for them to complete. I asked during the first fitting if they could sew in cups to the dress so I did not have to wear a bra, but the seamstress said it was not possible. She said she would sew down the two layers near the breasts to make it possible to not wear a bra. The alterations were absurd, maddening, and a rip off. All they had to do was take in the sides a tiny bit and sew down the top sheath to the silk under layer in two spots to keep it from shifting around and shape the chest a little. She maybe put it ten stitches in it at most to lock it in place. Then on the front I asked them to sew on a tiny bit of lace to cover a random butterfly in that looked odd and different from the original dress I had tried on in the store, which they forgot to do, even though they had it for two months. Not only did they forget to do this, the sewing around the chest did not sit flat and was wrong. it looked bad in the chest and knew I was going to need to get a new undergarment to make it look right. The whole process took sooooo long and my wedding was only two weeks away, I paid them 220.00 just to get the dress from them and I could have someone else fix it, and I had to buy a 100.00 bra last minute to make the top portion sit somehow close to how it should have been. I wish I had not paid them for these alterations but I was so upset and wanted the dress from them that, I just paid and ran out the door. It has now been four months after my wedding and I have been trying to get some refund from the manager/​owner but she does not care about the customer’s satisfaction. She listen once to my story, then said she would call me back after she spoke with the seamstress, but never returned my call. I have called and left maybe ten messages since then, but again no returned call. This is so very very unprofessional, at least have the decency to call back and tell me why she decided against the refund, but no, too high-​end to be bothered with customers I suppose. I would strongly advise against using this establishment, they do not deserve customers that are trying to create a positive happy memory for their special day.

I’m posting this here because I tried to post this on a bridal review website and I guess it’s very obvious that they sensor those and only let good reviews go through. I wish I would have checked Unilocal before instead of trusting all the good reviews on those sites. Future brides — do not let those fool you!
I visited the shop 5 times total, and only left happy 2 of the 5 times. The other 3 times, I went home and cried because of the way I was treated there. The seamstress is the NASTIEST and RUDEST person I have ever come across. She would make fun of my body in spanish in front of me because she thought I could not understand! Who makes fun of a bride’s body in her wedding dress? We had a lot of issues with the bodice because she just wanted me to have all this excessive padding because she constantly snarked on my flat chest. Some other highlights include my veil not coming in until literally like 2 weeks before the wedding (and it was ordered 11 months out). I was constantly lied to about where my veil was, and they even tried to give me the floor sample as pass it off as my veil (I noticed because there was lipstick stains all over it and the comb was bent). During one of my fittings there was a huge bloodstain on my dress. How gross is that? Blood and expensive wedding dress should not go together. There was only a few associates here who were tolerable. The young blond girl is fantastic and I don’t know what I would have done if she was not there for my fittings. The owner is useless — I complained about the veil and was just lied to, and I told her about my struggles with the seamstress and she promised to be there for my fitting. She finally arrived as I was taking off the dress and really did little to make me feel better about the shop — what a shame.
I did end up happy with how my dress came out (although it broke in 2 places at the wedding) but it took a long time to get there (and a lot of sleepless nights and constant fear that I would need to buy a brand new dress). I was an extremely laid back bride but this was such a source of stress. I think they have a good selection of reasonably priced dresses, but I don’t think it’s worth it for any bride to have the awful experience I had.

I am beyond disappointed!
I purchased my wedding dress at coral gables bridal (which was excellent). They recommended I look into using Merlili for my bridesmaids dresses. At the beginning everything went well, we found the perfect dresses and ordered them about 20 weeks prior to the wedding. I was given an ETA of 12 weeks. At about 15 weeks I hadn’t heard back so I tried calling as I had counted on the dresses arriving at least 14 – 16 weeks after ordering since 2 of my bridesmaids live out of the country. (I ended up having to fly these 2 to the destination wedding myself as they did not arrive on time)
I was given the run around by at least 3 people within a week of calling. When I finally got ahold of the owner she gave me this ridiculous story about the port where the dresses ship out of being on strike!!!
I am not an unreasonable person, I understand sometimes things happen. However, being the owner of a reputable store in coral gables one would only assume logic would be used at some point?! If the dresses weren’t being shipped, why wait until 3 weeks prior to tell the bride instead of thinking of an alternative plan when the dresses did not arrive on week 12 as originally planned?!!
My dresses finally arrived about 3 weeks prior to the wedding. Now came the alterations … I ordered 6 dresses. ⁰⁄₆ fit correctly. Usually length is the biggest issue, we had issues with all the dresses bust, length and ³⁄₆ had to be taken in about 2 sizes.
When it came time to pick up the dresses it was like fighting a brick wall to get them on time! The seamstress scheduled all the dress pick ups for the day prior or the day we were leaving to California.
In the end, my maid of honors dress was still very large (even after the alterations). One of the buttons connecting the chiffon to the dress was missing when she went to wear it. Two of my bridesmaids felt stabbing, turns out we found about 6 safety pins inside holding it all together.
What a nightmare!!! This was truly the worst part of all of the wedding planning. Everything else was so easy and fun. I really wish I had gone elsewhere for my bridal party dresses.

This was my first wedding dress shopping experience and it was horrific! I had made an appointment a week ago as I traveled from Denver. I walked into the small but elegant boutique to only hunt down my host. Once I found her sitting at the desk all the way at the end of the store she picked out the one dress I had asked to try on at the store. She placed the dress in the fitting room and with no communication to me sat back down at the desk. I looked at my family confused as to what we do next and we turned around and started picking out our own dresses as our host waited for us to be done. This experience was horrible, I did not feel special, I was not asked for my preference or budget, I was not asked a thing! At the end of the experience another host came by to remind my host her next appointment is here early about 3 times. I felt unwelcomed and not satisfied. Worst customer service I ever experienced and I work in retail.

I had such a horrible experience here with my bridesmaids dresses. When I first chose my bridesmaid dress everything was great. I actually chose two dresses because I had two weddings at the time. One wedding fell through and they would not return my deposit even though they hadn’t ordered my dress yet. I was insulted. One thing is to keep the deposit because you already ordered the dress from the manufacturer, I would understand that. That was not the case here. They hadn’t even ordered it! Well after calling the store what seemed like a thousand times (no one would call me back or answer), they agreed to apply the deposit to the second dress I had ordered. I felt better. My best friend had the same situation. She placed the deposit on a dress for the same wedding which fell through. They never returned her deposit even though they had not ordered the dress. They didn’t even have the decency to call her back and tell her no. They kept saying they would call her back with an answer and nothing! She even showed up at the store and was turned away because the owner wasn’t there. Like I said, if the dresses were already ordered I would understand losing the deposit, but they just kept the money without ordering anything!
Next was when I went for the alterations of the dress. I wanted to change the height of the slit on the dress because it was too short. They charge you $ 50.00 for any alteration, no matter how small it is! FIFTY DOLLARS! I would have taken it to my personal seamstress who charges me $ 10.00 for that specific alteration.
Next I went for my final fitting and I was trying the dress on, the dress had OIL STAINS EVERYWHERE. I couldn’t believe it. The wedding was in two weeks. When I pointed the stains out to the seamstress she told me that it wasn’t her fault and the dress came like that from the factory. That was a lie OBVIOUSLY because I had already tried that dress on during my initial fitting and those stains weren’t there. Of course I complained about it and they took the dress to the cleaners and were able to take the stains out (thank God).
Finally, when I went to pick up the dress, they went ahead and still charged me the $ 50.00 alteration after the hassle I went through and when I asked the lady in the front about the charge, she raised her voice at me and told me that she was very serious about that charge and that the store had already incurred the dry cleaning fee for me which they «graciously» did not make me pay. That woman in the front is so rude! Everyone in the store was staring. She is an older blonde woman.
I will never step foot in that store again. The one and only positive thing I have to say is that they did clean the dress after the stains were discovered, but THAT’S IT.

Where do I begin! This was the first store I visited on my quest for the most spectacular dress! I wanted to get an idea of what style looked best, NEVER did I imagine that I would find my DREAM dress after trying on 4 dresses! Lilly and her staff did an INCREDIBLE job helping me find the perfect dress in less than an hour! She has an amazing selection at great price points! When I asked how much the dress cost I couldn’t believe it was half the amount I had budgeted! If you are a bride to be and are looking for a Dress fit for a Runway at an AMAZING price you need to stop by and visit Lilly and her staff! I was able to purchase my dress, my bridesmaid dresses and the Mother of the Bride dress all in one location! I am so excited and so grateful to Merlili Boutique!

I had gone shopping all around miracle mile and other stores in the area for wedding dresses and finally arrived at Merlili. I was so happy when I walked in and the staff there made me feel so comfortable and at home. I knew the style of dress I wanted and the store found the exact dress for me. They also even let me modify the top. The dress turned out so perfectly and beautiful! I could not imagine it any other way. I received so many compliments on the dress and the accessories I got at Merlili, which were my veil and belt. They were all so beautiful. I had a great experience with my dress at Merlili. Also, I got the bridesmaids dresses there which turned out perfectly for my bridesmaids as well. Thanks again to the whole team at Merlili!

If your a bride and would like that dream experience of finding your dress and having stress free fittings, do not come here. They have lost their bridal customer service treatment. Their prices are okay and have a lot of options. However, their accessories are not worth the price. When I was hunting for my dress, they had my family and I choose our own dresses. They did not advise me with what my body would look good in. They also were pushy and did not let us take photos. We tried on too many dresses and I got stressed. My friend had a brides nightmare experience where they ordered the wrong size dress and accused her of gaining weight. Don’t come here.

So if you’re coming here to get dress ideas or just starting your quest, this is a complete waste of your time. They had maybe 10 dresses on each rack. Quantity is not their virtue. They also had dresses that everyone else had just with a heavier price tag.
The woman helping me had the enthusiasm of a dead person. Zip zero to nada. I don’t expect people to be happy all the time, but at the end of the day, you’re selling a product. Show some enthusiasm or at least fake it!

so if i could give merlili more than 5 stars i would!!!
my dress arrived really really fast (4 months before my wedding), i immediately went to try it on but knew i was planning to drop about 10 pounds so we waited to start making alterations.
a couple months later i was back and ready to take that dress in. josefina the lady who does alterations is amazing. she comes across a little tough/​cold at first but by my final fitting she was a sweetheart! marta the lady that you deal with up front is nothing short of a class act. so attentive and personable. and lilly of course is a sweetheart always gives her honest opinion while making you feel like a million bucks.
we took in my dress quite a bit then had to take it out a bit so i could sit comfortably. the dress was originally strapless, but i added a whole top piece to cover the back and add a gorgeous neckline. then i had a cap sleeve set made so i could change the look of my dress after the church ceremony.
they were super accomodating to my every request!
oh and i should also mention my bridesmaids were all super happy with their dresses that we ordered there as well!
they have great prices and prompt reliable and responsible service.
