With a young staff that consists of college students and recently graduated professionals, On Point Tutors offer a unique perspective that is hard to find elsewhere. Programs are focused not only on teaching the material, but being able to establish a connection with each individual student and cater to his or her needs accordingly. With this in mind, OPT has had the ability to assist over two hundred students in the South Florida area achieve the grades and scores that led to them to the colleges of their choice. OPT works with students of all ages on any academic subject as well as standardized test preparation for exams such as the SAT, ACT, SSAT, and ISEE.
History
Established in 2012.
On Point Tutoring was founded in 2012 by South Florida locals Fabiano Praca and Jorge Cuello. Having graduated Ransom Everglades and Christopher Columbus High School, Fabiano and Jorge began tutoring as they pursued their undergraduate degrees at the University of Miami. They soon realized their unique approach to mentoring and inspiring students to take charge of their own academic progress was a service that was not being offered elsewhere. OPT was founded and their unique strategy and vision lives on today as more and more students get their grades On Point.
Meet the Business Owner
Fabiano P.
Business Owner
Fabiano graduated from Ransom Everglades in 2010. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in civil engineering at the University of Miami. At U.M., Fabi had the distinct pleasure of being inducted into Chi Epsilon, a distinguished engineering honors society, as well as being on the Dean’s List several times. He has also served as the Vice President of Internal Affairs, Steel Bridge Captain, and Graduate Advisor for the American Society of Civil Engineers. In 2014, Fabiano passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and became a certified Engineer Intern, the next step in obtaining his Professional Engineering license.
Once in college, Fabi began tutoring high school students in math and physics, quickly realizing he earnestly enjoyed helping others understand the intricacies of these notorious subjects. As his students improved steadily, he realized that he wanted to find a way to help as many students as possible.
