Poor customer service, food was great but now is sub-par Asian mess. They are Belly Nazis, make it hard as possible to redeem Belly rewards. Why have a rewards program and make it impossible to redeem??? I joined Unilocal just to write this review of a very bad lunch experience. They have lost a loyal customer because they refused to give rewards.

I love thus place. Used to go there regularly at lunchtime as from 1−3PM they have lunch specials. Specially recommend the yellow curry meat or chicken it’s delicious. If you go on weekends or after lunch it’s a bit more pricy but can’t go wrong with the weekly lunch specials. Lunch size is pretty big and I have also seen that they sell reduced rates on groupon. The downside to this is the parking around the area is limited so you have to park a little bit not too far. The waiters are really nice and attentive. Definitely recommend it.

We have eaten here several times, and what I like is that I know the food is going to be good. The sushi is fresh and tasty. The service is great. We have been ordered take out from them and it worked out well. Not soggy or messed up. We will continue to visit Yuga!

This place is a gem! My husband and I went here for date night last week and were blown away by the amazing service. It is so rare in Miami to get service this good, and that’s what pushed me to give this place 5⁄5 stars. The food was also great, though I have to say I am really biased. As a Filipina who was homesick for some Filipino food, I ordered the Filipino Rice Bowl and it did not disappoint. The garlic fried rice reminded me of how my mom used to make it, and even the egg was fried like my mom and grandma used to fry it — super crispy edges with a very runny yolk! The braised pork reminded me of adobo… It was a breath of fresh air! I highly recommend this place — the service was attentive and polite, the food was great, and the place was spotless. Looking forward to coming back!

If you order their lunch special you will never order from Benihana or Sushi Maki again ! I love to cook and I love to eat. Their food is the best Thai Food in Coral Gables. Side salad is full of favors and has a different dressing that is to die for!!! Try

They have about 10 lunch specials, each including a soup, small salad and California roll. Very similar to Pan Lan at Dadeland station(a friend told me its owned by the same people). The portions we’re good as well as flavor. At lunch there are a lot of things not offered… I’ll be back for dinner to taste other items!

Excellent sushi and value for money. If you are into sashimi try the tuna. It is amazing! Also recommend the rising sun roll. Scallops are well cooked and tender as well. Service is what makes this place 5 stars however!

El Hub and I came here on a lazy Tuesday evening for dinner and should have not bothered dining when we saw that only 1 other table was occupied for good reason. Although they have wonderful service, a tastefully decorated ambiance, and a vast menu, the dishes themselves bore no resemblance to the menu descriptions. We ordered the basil chicken, an allegedly Thai style stir fry that was so overwhelmed by the taste of sesame oil that no other flavor came through. Worse yet, the dish hardly contained any basil at all. We also ordered the beef noodle stir fry again overloaded with sesame oil. Even more appalling was the fact that the beef tasted old and on the brink of expiry. If you are in the area, I highly suggest Unilocaling a bit more as I am sure there are better options around.

Four stars bordering 5, based on taste alone !!! Portions are hefty too. Service is usually quick, usually but there have been hick-ups. Still very worth while !

I came here for dinner on a Thursday with a friend and former Unilocal elite who recommended this place highly. We were seated right away after being offered a table or a booth, given menus, and the server was there within a few minutes to take our drink orders. I had the edamame to start, a beer and the chicken teriyaki rice bowl. My friend ordered the curry vermicelli. While I wasn’t thrilled with the taste or the amount of sauce that was drizzled on the chicken and the rice(it didn’t have much taste and there wasn’t enough of it for my liking), the chicken breast was so large that it more than covered the entire top of the serving bowl. My dining companion seemed to enjoy her meal, and after she’d eaten her fill, she literally had enough to take home and make an entire other meal. The service was quite good throughout the evening, and as we were leaving, 2 staff thanked us for coming. For everything we ordered, the bill came to just a bit more than $ 41 before tip.

Ok, let me explain before I get started that service here is ridiculously amazing. That is what made me decide to give this place 5 stars and not just 4. The manager, hostess and server are all amazing wonderful people who just know how to treat people and cater to every desire/need. The food is delicious and similar to many other Asian-fare restaurants. They have several raw items, which are very well prepared, such as their sashimi and rolls. Their Filipino Bowl is a very complete and delicious meal. Very tasty and you gotta love the fried egg. Their Short Rib dish was also amazing and the meat was perfectly cooked. I must say that I really loved the red curry beef. My wife had to prevent me from just drinking the remaining sauce. So good. To finish we have always had the Thai Doughnuts, which are the same as all other places, but you know what other places don’t have? This amazing strawberry purée which tastes delicious and is just divine when added to the regular condensed milk dipping sauce. Such a wonderful way to finish the meal. If you’re still in doubt, try it out and see, maybe you might fall in love as well. Happy eating!

Really tasty. Interesting Asian fusion items. For the area I would say best in its class. Downside is that it is too pricey

I tried this place on a Monday night and loved it! The service I received was excellent; they brought us water before we asked for it, refilled our glasses without us asking, cleaned the table and took dishes in a timely manner, and the waiter was very nice and helpful with the menu. The menu has something for everyone, great variety. The sushi here is so yummy! I had the crunchy tuna tartar roll and the dragon roll. Good portion and they don’t skimp on the sauces and spicy mayo. The Korean short ribs are boneless and so flavorful. The sauce is so good I wanted to lick the plate! We also had the Filipino rice bowl which has garlic fried rice, braised pork, and a fried egg. I have to say the bowl is a good size to share, but I found that the rice itself needed more flavor. I didn’t taste any garlic to it. It was nothing a little salt couldn’t fix though. The best for last-dessert! The Thai doughnuts were perfection!!! They come with homemade strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, and condensed milk. The strawberry sauce is amazing!!! I’m definitely coming back, especially for the doughnuts!

Absolutely love this place. Been coming to Yuga off and on for the last number of years and I have never had a bad meal here. Everything is highly consistent and the waitstaff is top notch. They are close to work so the lunch specials are always my comestible of choice. I usually opt for the Vegetable Stir Fry. The lunch menu comes with a starter bowl of miso soup which is very good. Bits of tofu, seaweed, and scallions in it. Next comes the side salad and California roll. I have them make it without the crab. The salad and dressing is very light and the pickled things in the bowl add some good crunch. The sushi roll is very nicely prepared and the pickled ginger is not dyed that garish pink! The Vegetable Stir Fry has such a clean taste. It is seasoned but not overly so. Made like this you can taste all the lightly seared onions, green peppers, etc. Come for lunch and enjoy great fresh food.

Of all the restaurants in the Gables, how can such place be so hidden! Took to this place by foot through the seeping cross sections of Ponce De Leon on our quest for new indulgences, or as some people may call it, lunch. Parking is made easy here as well since it doesn’t sit so close to the main streets which is always plus for us, noted. Upon entering you’ll notice that décor is made simple and nothing flashy, casual dining if you want to put your finger on it. Speaking of which, don’t forget to Belly. Woop, points! While scanning the menu we were intrigued by their taro croquettes. One, because taro. Hello. And two, the crab shreds inside added a ‘crab cake’ feel. Hello there. Now, don’t go and expect huge chunks of crab, that’s not the star here; however, the crispy texture sitting in their creamy sweet and sour sauce sold it for me. Along with the taro goodness, I took the liberty of ordering the Filipino rice bowl.(Seeing how I was excited to see a Filipino fusion in any restaurant) It was basically between the Korean BBQ rice bowl or this. I’ve had my share with bibimbaps so I decided we should see what the Filipino bowl has to offer. As you can expect, the pork was phenomenal. Very tender and juicy, no severe spices needed. The pickled onions acid cut the savory flavor of the pork perfectly(hmm, viet influence?). Then of course, you have the garlic rice enhanced every spoonful and a sunny-side up egg literally topped it all off. I must forewarn that this dish isn’t looking to serve a complicated palate. Instead, if you are looking for a bowl of hardiness, this would be your boxing ring. Ended our meal with two salads, one for each of us(main entrée comes with soup and salad to which they let us trade to our liking). Basically mix greens with an amazing dressing. Sadly I didn’t catch the type of dressing but to put it perspective, I cleaned my plate with regards to how much content the earlier dishes were. We took a sneak peak at the dinner menu and fixated our eyes on the mushroom encrusted 8 oz tuna(mouth begins to salivate despite how we are full). Just a heads up if you’re conscious about your spending, the night pricing looked pretty steep compared to lunch. Food is a luxury after all. Ending verdict: Plating was on point. Service was extremely accommodating. And we already settled on the decision to come back here.

Came in with a few coworkers and had a seriously fantastic meal. There were three of us and we definitely had our fill off the menu. We did a variety of hot dishes as well as a pretty solid spread of sushi. The real standouts were the taro root croquettes and the lamb ribs. I don’t even really care for lamb but these ribs were fantastic. As for sushi the dynamite roll was, well, dynamite! Coming from Michigan I was really excited about the prospect of really awesome, fresh sushi and they did not disappoint. The sashimi plate was incredible. The salmon in particular? Like BUTTAH. For dessert we enjoyed the thai donuts which were served with chocolate, strawberry, and condensed milk sauces. Excellent. The service was impeccable. The waitstaff to the bussers – everyone was SO nice. We definitely closed the place down and no one was giving us a hard time or rushing us out the door. A fantastic experience across the board!
