SOHO Computer Services has focused on the residential and business computer users in South Florida for over 18 years. We’ve won 8 consecutive Angie’s Lists Super Service Awards and have serviced over 5000 clients. We built the original website for the state of Washington’s generic drug substitution program with AllScripts company, installed computer networks for local business and medical offices while also servicing the residential customer with tasks like virus removal, installing new computers and helping resolve ransomware issues.

History

Established in 1997.

When SOHO Computer Services began, the technical tasks for both consumer and commercial clients were much simpler in terms of number and types of computers and applications. Over type, we’ve experienced Apple and PC (Microsoft based) computers living within the same network, the advent of social networking for consumers and businesses and an explosion of software apps for computers, tablets and phones. SOHO Computer Services strives to always be current in the use, installation and support of these apps.

SOHO Computer Services started with a focus on markets we perceived as under served (the small business entrepreneur at home or in a small office) and the home consumer as well. With the explosion of knowledge available on the internet and the growing ease with which even a novice could access this wealth of knowledge, I saw an opportunity to provide real and affordable value to these markets. Coming from a large corporate background, it was refreshing to respond quickly and get immediate and most often positive feedback from customers. One of our first consumer customers was an 83 old woman who had never used a computer and whose son has purchased an Apple computer for her to follow his itinerary (he’s a doctor). She was a quick learner, wanted to use the internet and quickly learned how to contact a high school friend. One of our first business clients was a song writer («Itsy Bitsy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” — it’s an «oldie»).
