History

Established in 2011.

When we began, Spectra Technical focused on lighting and sound for the theater, for concerts, and for recitals. We learned that we loved helping others create amazing experiences that they and their guests will remember forever. In 2012, we took our professional event experience to weddings. We haven’t looked back since.

While we can still be found on stages throughout the Midwest, we have been bringing our professional-​grade equipment and large-​production/​touring experience to our wonderful wedding clients in ways that no one else can. We are proud to offer the very best in sound and lighting to even the smallest of weddings and events.

Spectra Technical, LLC., is an Iowa based business. We are proud to call ourselves Iowans, and to show others what the phrase «I’m an Iowan!» truly means.

Meet the Business Owner

Caleb C.

Business Owner

Caleb is one of the two owners at Spectra Technical. In addition to his ownership responsibilities he is the Chief Lighting Designer. His experience with lighting stretches across countless hours, venues, and shows. He is familiar with many of the architectural and theatrical dimming and control systems available. With experience working in over 60 venues across the Midwest including churches, theaters, band shells, and town festivals, he is comfortable working with any show no matter the location or what it entails. In addition to lighting design, Caleb has spent hundreds of hours onstage, even performing in some of the shows for which he designed lighting.

Caleb lives by the values Spectra Technical was founded on. He is very involved in the community, and works hard to promote doing good no matter what. Among other honors, Caleb is an Eagle Scout.
