Italy is synonymous with fresh, delectable, quality food. Given that they are Italians, the owners Daniele and Giampaolo know it very well. They believe that good food should be simple, healthy, fast, good and affordable.

At Crazy Italians’ Restaurant, you’ll enjoy our high-​quality food without breaking the bank! To make your experience even more special we will cook all type of dishes on gas burners in front of you.

And if you are on a gluten free diet, we have options for you as well. Believe us. They are as good as the traditional version!

History

Established in 2015.

Giampaolo, one of the two Italian founder, got the idea behind Crazy Italians under the shower after having fixed a dinner for international friends based on a classic Italian recipe «Spaghetti alla puttanesca» on yet another wonderful Maui vacation.

Having previously met a guy on the beach who was in the process of opening a new fast food in Kahului, he got the eureka moment: «Hey, there are a lot of Italian pasta recipes which can be fast AND good, really good and healthy! Wouldn’t it be great to open a new fast casual restaurant in the USA with good, healthy, authentic Italian food instead? A nice, affordable, healthy and good fast casual restaurant: Fast & Good. The way real Italian families eat everyday.».

The co-​founder and friend Daniele was immediately enthusiastic about the idea and promptly joined this new venture. After months of studies and preparation Daniele and Giampaolo, with their «know-​how to eat» embedded in their DNA, are now sharing their love for good food in TN.

Would not ever go there again. Very odd setup for what’s supposed to be «real Italian.» The side salad comes with bread, but the meal does not. They charge $ 1 for a 4″ piece of bread if you’d like one with your entrée. It’s self-​serve, so you order at the counter, then sit down and wait to get your meal. You’re on your own to find silverware and napkins-​and the majority of the guests didn’t know where they were and asked the food runners for silverware. When the food came out, all the meals were delivered at different times. We wanted to eat as a family, but half of us had meals when half had to wait another 10 minutes for theirs. My lasagna was already cold when it got to me, to which They offered to either microwave it, or wait 6 – 8 minutes for a fresh piece. Our table was near the kitchen where the radio was on loud so the ambiance was ruined. We also got to hear them have a conversation about how bothered and insulted they were when a restaurant guest asked them about their Italian food and how they were «real Italians». It’s quite unprofessional to talk badly about paying customers, loud enough for other customers to hear. The food runners and guys manning the floor were on their phones while waiting at the kitchen and continued to look at their phones while our food was sitting on the counter, in front of them. My lasagna had no red sauce like I had expected as I had seen on their Facebook page picture of the lasagna. It was a weird thick white cream sauce that was overpowering and too rich. While a few of us really enjoyed their dishes, we were very disappointed in our overall experience.

First time in tonight and can’t wait to try more things on the menu however it will be hard not to order the puttanesca every time. From the first bite to the last I was in tastebud euphoria! So glad to see such a lovely small restaurant close to my workplace. This is a winner!

Great pasta dishes, family friendly, friendly staff. Our table of eight, four adults and four tots, had a variety of the menu and everyone loved what they had. Portion sizes of pasta are a little smaller than most American Italian restaurants but that leaves plenty of room for dessert. Prices are very reasonable at $ 10 – 12 for a pasta dish. The icing on the cake was the BYO wine. Definitely will come back and definitely will shed a tear when they get their liquor license.

Sorry, maybe I caught them on an off night, but the food was awful, close to inedible. It is more of a deli. Very clean, sparse décor. Wait in line to order, then get a number. Self-​serve beverage. Plastic dinnerware. We ordered the spaghetti with marinara & the lasagna. The spaghetti was overcooked and the sauce tasted like bottled. The lasagna had large overcooked egg noodles instead of lasagna noodles. It had no structure. It was filled with sausage, mozzarella cheese, and had bread crumbs on top, with no sauce. The counter help was great, very friendly. I wish them well, but the food will need a radical overhaul to make this place successful.

Went there a couple days after they opened. So sad to see Thai bistro gone, but happy that someone opened an authentic Italian restaurant. The place was clean, service attentive, the food fresh and authentic. If your expecting Americanized Italian food then this is not the place for you. If your looking for fresh flavors that will take you back to Italy or your Italian friend’s mom home cooking, then this is the place for you.
Wish you guys nothing but the best. Lot of great memories there but time for new one’s.

Strange, I could have swore I wrote a review of this place… but don’t see it on Unilocal.Let’s try again. My companion and I stopped in around 7 on a recent Saturday night. The crowd was very sparse, only 1 other table was occupied. I ordered the lasagna and side salad and my companion ordered a pasta dish. The salad, unfortunately, was not eaten, as it perhaps contained 1 teaspoon of their house dressing — not enough to push around to coat any of the salad. The lasagna was OK. It’s a version without gravy in it or on it, it looked good. I prefer the conventional version however. Try it yourself to make your own judgement.

I was really excited to find out about a new Italian place on G’town Pkwy that wasn’t a chain. My wife is really into Italian food so I figured we would try it. We tried the lasagna and tiramisu for lunch. Mind you, we split both of those and our total bill approached $ 20. The food was good, pretty much what you would expect with a twist or two, but for a fast casual place I really expected the prices to be less than that of a full-​service restaurant. If we had both gotten our own meal, it would have been almost $ 30. There’s no wait staff, no bread, and the lasagna didn’t even come with a large portion, so I can’t figure out why the prices are so high. This is a case where I feel like the food and experience, while good enough, don’t meet up to the asking price. If they could lower their prices a little to match their fast-​casual experience, I think I would be more inclined to go back.

So, so very good! I needed a large to go order when my family was in town. Everything was made fresh and was hot and ready for us when my sister and I arrived to pick it up. The owner even helped us carry it to the car – he was so nice and accommodating. Everyone LOVED the lasagna and fought over leftovers! The eggplant Norma and pasta puttanesca were outstanding. I will definitely come back!!!

Very neat place and décor. It is casual and very child friendly for an Italian restaurant. I had the lasagna and it was great. Not fast food but rather quick food at this place. If you’re looking for some good Italian food fast and for a reasonable price then this is probably the place to go. I will be returning again soon.

Awesome new spot for Italian in Cordova! Great clean fast casual atmosphere. My husband got the lasagna and said it was the best he’d ever had. My pasta carbonara was fantastic as well. The bread is just ok but everything else is amazing. We will be back.

Omg! Love this place! My husband and I had the Mozzarella e Prosciutto Crudo, Penne all’Arrabbiata, Lasagne, and the Tiramisu. Everything was delicious and very fresh! We enjoyed everything. Not to mention the place is so nice, great atmosphere, great music! We will definitely be regulars. So glad to have a place like this in the neighborhood!

Very nice clean, nice cashier, food bland very very bland as in 0 seasoning. I ordered Penne alla norma*. Cost 9.99 doesnt come with anything. Nice portion Suuuuuuuuuuuper greasy. ½ inch high. Nothing about it tastes itlaian. Nothing about it tastes at all.

Never in my life have I eaten Lasagna with a Bolognese sauce like this, but when that heavenly dish hit my table I was transported by an aroma of pure pasta perfection. From the first bite, to when I was scraping my plate with a fork to get the last bit of sauce, it was spectacular.
The pasta? Fresh made. Perfectly prepared.
The sauce? I have never tasted better.
The meat? Succulent
Look, I could talk about how the salad was overpriced or how I don’t like being nickel and dimed for bread, but honestly this place gets four stars based on the strength of their food. Absolutely spectacular .The people who came with me got spaghetti dishes and I tried theirs as well. they were also at that same super high level of quality.
Am I saying that I will want to drop $ 15 on lunch every day here? No. Am I saying I will be back this week because I can’t stop thinking about that Lasagna? YES!

This place is pretty cool – modern, sleek and clean atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions about the upcoming espresso drinks, if they brew their tea, etc. I got lasagna and a side salad for 20 bucks, which is very pricey for lunch. I did call my order in for pick up and did not ask for any lunch specials or anything. I thought maybe the portion would be large enough to take the leftovers home for dinner, but it wasn’t… They may have lunch options that I was not aware of. The lasagna I have to say was really good. They did not use an overpowering sauce but an amazing Bolognese sauce, which complimented the mild cheese and the delicious beef used in the lasagna.
Their online menu represents the price with dollar signs and no real description of the dishes offered. You can bring your own wine and they accept Bitcoin.

This restaurant is a great addition to the area. The tomato sauce on their Spaghetti al Pomodoro is perfect… excellent and fresh. The Insalata con Prosciutto Di Parma (salad with prosciutto and fresh mozzarella) is heavenly, perfectly complemented with their balsamic vinaigrette dressing. And the Tiramisu is the best we ever ate. This is casual gourmet food, reasonably priced, and using fresh ingredients. Highly recommended. We can’t wait to try more dishes from the menu. We will be back and bring family and friends.

Excited to try a new restaurant in the area. Very clean and nicely decorated. Counter service is never my favorite. I feel rushed to make a decision while standing in the doorway. After placing the order, we were allowed to pick our table. The caprese salad arrived shortly after we sat down. I was quite disappointed. Anemic looking tomatoes layered with slices of mozzarella on some wilted greens. Fortunately, the entrées arrived minutes later. The pasta dishes were large. Lasagna was tasty. The pasta puttanesca was spicy as it should be. Surprised that the entrées didn’t have any bread served with bread. Anyway, we decided to order dessert. Tried the mascarpone dessert but the consistency seemed runny. Perhaps that is the authentic Italian dessert but not a fan.
Gave it a try. May return in the future but not in a hurry.
