TERRIBLE customer service! RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL technician! I had Garage Doors & More give me an estimate to repair my rental house’s garage door. The technician called and gave me an estimate of $ 256. After I hung up with him, I found and purchased a voucher through Unilocal for $ 125 worth of services for $ 95. When he called back for payment, I explained that I would pay $ 125 of it with the voucher, and put the remaining balance on my credit card. He said, «You need to pay the whole $ 256 on your credit card or I will rip out everything I just put in.» I tried again to explain to him that I had a voucher with his company, and he got more and more irate, threatening again to rip out the repair he just completed. I told him I needed to speak to his boss to explain it since he didn’t understand me. He said he would call his boss and hung up on me. He called back 2 minutes later and said his boss said I had to put the full $ 256 on my credit card. He then tried to tell me that he already took off the $ 125 and the repair«would have been $ 125 more». I asked how this was possible since he gave me an estimate of $ 256 before I even purchased or mentioned the voucher. I told him I was getting nowhere with him, and I insisted that he at least make a note that I had a voucher and to write the redemption code down and I would pay the full amount but then take it up with his boss the following business day. When I went in to the office to speak with someone about the completely rude and unprofessional way I was spoken to by the technician, the mess with the voucher, and the fact that I questioned if I truly needed all the parts he suggested since he was dishonest with me about the quote after I told him about the voucher, they said, «we’ve had problems with him speaking to customers like that before». I told them at the very least, I needed to be refunded $ 125, and the office manager(?) said she needed to speak to the owner. After a couple emails back and forth detailing what happened, I didn’t hear anything for several days. When I emailed again asking about my refund, she stated she was sorry for the delay, and would refund the $ 125 to me. I wrote back and said due to the way the technician treated me, I felt that as a symbol of good will and good customer service, they should refund me more than what I was already owed. I heard nothing back. After several days, I emailed the owner and said how my impression of their company was getting worse by the day and that I was surprised they didn’t even acknowledge my request. The owner wrote back and said she tried to call me a few days earlier(yet I had no voice mail from her, or even a missed call) and said she didn’t replay to my email because she wanted to speak one on one with me about it. She asked if she could call me(again?) to speak about it. I said yes, and it has now been 6 days and I have not heard from her or anyone. If they truly cared about the way their technician is representing their company, someone would have called me the very day that I went into the office. I am not sure why they even choose to keep this technician when they have had problems with him before. I will NEVER use this company again and will NEVER recommend their services to anyone.

Same day service, kept to their hour window. Price was fair I thought it could have been a little lower. I would call them again because of the knowledgeable technician and same day service.
