History

Established in 2011.

Planet Ballroom dance studio began in 2005 in the small Charlotte, NC suburb of Matthews. Since that time it has been our mission to provide our students with a life changing dance experience through inspiration, energy and glamour! After just one year, Planet Ballroom was rated «Best of Charlotte 2006» in the Ballroom & Latin dance studio category for exceptional customer service, a title that we have kept every year since!

Planet Ballroom opened its second dance studio location in Charlotte near Fort Mill, SC and Lake Wylie in 2008. In that same year, Planet Ballroom began and hosted the Southern Paradise Ball, the first national ballroom dance competition in Charlotte. Planet Ballroom studio number three opened in late 2011 in Cornelius, NC near Lake Norman.
