Jim Parodi is a wallpaper installation specialist with 36 years experience in the hanging of every type of residential and commercial wallcovering in Westchester, Bergen, Rockland and NYC.

The Parodi Family has been in the wallpapering business since 1936 when founder Harry Parodi began in the trade. Jim took over the business in 1985 and is experienced in all phases of wallpaper installation. He hangs specialty products like grasscloth, silks, hemp and historic reproductions as well as commerical fabric backed vinyls and standard retail wallcoverings. Job One is always to properly prep the walls with state of the art acrylic primers to insure there is never wall damage during future removal

History

Established in 1936.

Jim’s dad, Harry Parodi, began in the home decorating business in 1936. After serving in the Air Force during WWII, Harry returned and continued painting and paperhanging in northern New Jersey. In 1951 he switched to hanging wallpaper exclusively.

In 1977, after apprenticing with his father, Jim joined the family business. Harrry retired in 1985 and Jim has run the business since then.

In 2001 Jim Parodi began writing a column, parodi on paperhanging, in Painting & Wallcovering Contractor Magazine and has produced several instructional DVDs on the subject of wallcovering installation.
