The Trestle

Have only gone here for drinks. First time was on a warm Sunday afternoon. We got beers, which they offer some local brews and a bunch on tap, and sat outside on their seating. Soon after we got there, a group of people came out from doing a drink and paint class. The people were all friendly and funny, and some real Picasso’s among the group. The beer is always great, many selections to choose from, and always cold. Seems like the people that go here are mostly locals, but always friendly. The staff are great, always checking on us and always friendly. It does get a little cold inside with the AC at night.
We love hanging out at this place to people watch on the street in the downtown Cornwall-​on-​Hudson area and enjoy great brews. Have to go back for the painting classes!

This is one of my favorite places to go. They are a bar and restaurant and have typical pub food. The french fries are amazing and the wings are crispy. My husband really likes the burgers and we both enjoy the different type of egg rolls on their weekly specials. (pepperoni and cheese are my favorite) They have seating in the bar area and also have a room in the back. We always sit in the room because it’s quieter. The only drawback to they is sometimes later at night there is only one waitress on duty so they are tending bar and serving food and the service can be a little slow. They also have a pool table but I’ve never been to that end of the bar so I don’t know anything about it or if there are other games down there.

Food is as good as you will find in most restaurants, several beers on tap and a very pleasant staff. They play a variety of music and have darts and a pool table. Everything you could ask for in a local bar. They serve food until 12 on weekends as well if you are looking for a late bite.

Had my watch «lost,» and my buddy had his raybans «lost» after our table was cleaned. These items were stolen on two separate occasions. The brunette manager that works there should really practice some professionalism with customers.
I’ve visited the trestle maybe four times good option for a small town, which isn’t saying much.

I wish it was possible to give no atars in a review. At around 6pm on a Saturday evening, a couple of obviously drunk patrons were served even more shots and beers. At one point the bartender picked up an empty used glass to refill with beer and touched the dirty glass to the tap.
Once I saw that, I had zero interest in trying the food and left. NEVER going back.

Kind of surprised at the positive reviews. I’ve given this place several opportunities but I am far from impressed. Place is cute, and have to say, very convenient but I am always disappointed. Aside from Adam, the other servers look like they’d rather be sticking hot needles in their eyes than waiting tables. Food is inconsistent, but not sure if we get the same chefs. If you go to the bar, be prepared to be overly nice and patient, and maybe, just maybe the bartender will make their way over to you. Reluctantly, I might add. The only thing that might save the experience is if you’re with some great friends and you’ve already eaten.

Great environment, nice staff, great food, and extensive drink menu. Their pickle chips are amazing!

I have to say this is not a safe, supportive environment for people with disabilities. The owner or manager kicked a family out of this restaurant today and refused them service because of a service dog with an ID vest and proper identification. I’m a NYC restaurant manager; I was totally appalled. It’s illegal to refuse service like that. Very ugly situation.
I wish I could say the food is even mediocre, but it’s not. I have nothing good to say about my experience here. I hope a legal representative educates the staff here. This was horrifically embarrassing to see.
****The owner did respond to me but was still uneducated about the law so I forwarded him the Americans with Disabilities Act commonly asked questions about service dogs and asked him to make a public apology.****

Went there for Trivia night yesterday and ordered the Lamb Burger. The food at the Trestle is always good, fresh, and nice looking. The service is attentive. Where I was robbed is in the trivia game. The final question was too ambigous. It asked to list the following characters in order of appearances from most to least. They were Jason Voorhees, Michael Meyers, Freddy Kruger, and Leatherface. Michael Meyers appeared in 9 of the 10 Halloween films. A few second flash on a TV showing the original movie in Halloween 3 should not count as an «appearance». If it does, then Freddy’s glove appearing in Bride of Chucky and Jason Goes to Hell should also count as appearances for the latter. I wasted two hours of my time to go home disappointed over a lousy judgement call.

A decent meal… if you want to stick around for the world record to see what employee will say the work F*** the most times behind the bar… THIS IS THE PLACE! So degrading… the place could be ok… but it needs «Restaurant Stakeout» and Willie to go in and clean out the Staff!!! Keep your kids home!

The food and service are great. If your at the bar and Katrina, Brittany, or Dee are working your lucky.

Nice place to have a couple of drinks and grab a burger

Here is a solid and apparently popular local bar/​restaurant. In its sprawling space you can hang out at the bar, sit at a table, or eat outside on a sunny day. The food is pretty straight-​forward, above average pub grub, plus a few fancier dishes. The burgers are good, and you get heartland-​sized portions of fries and the like. The beer selection could have been better, but I found something I liked. The servers are friendly and helpful — this is one of these «What can I get you, hon’?» type of places.

Food is great and play Pub Poker at the restaurant. I enjoy every time I eat here. Come to the restaurant and have a great time. We are having fun at the restaurant.

Great bar/​restaurant in cornwall on hudson. Food is always good and the happy hour is even better. Outdoor seating is always a plus, and deanna the tender is an even bigger plus! She is great! Very fun spot where everyone knows your name, and if they dont, thats your fault! Definitely give it a shot!

Great food, great happy hour, great pours, great service. I wish I lived closer, I’d be here pretty much every day for something or other.

The best thing about this place is the pool table. That’s never a good sign. The beer is cold but the selection is limited. The food is acceptable at best. Actually, the appetizers were pretty good for fried and unoriginal, but there really isn’t much beyond the pool table to ever bring me back here.

Went here because Painters and River Bank were filled up. Nice bar. We went at happy hour, that ends at 7 on Friday. I like the IPA and she likes the summer ale. We had veggie burgers and they were not bad. Service wasn’t bad. They got flummoxed trying to ask if people wanted a menu at the bar. They seemed challenged by clarifying that issue. Seems like a friendly crowd.

I have had two positive experiences
At the trestle. I got a burger the first time. Then a NY strip steak. Loved the Mac and cheese balls. The staff was also great!
