Paule McKenna, editor of bootego .com beauty directory, is a celebrity makeup artist who began her beauty career owning LA’s first makeup studio Vanity, on La Cienega at the age of 17. Her second studio, Aureus also catered to Hollywood stars, was located in Beverly Hills at Rodeo Dr. Paule designed makeup for Supermodels and TV hosts over twenty years with film local 706. Before starting Gild Spa Bar mobile beauty spa with a team of beauty pros, Paule travelled extensively with celebrities and socialites for publicity including Herbalife CEO, Mark Hughes for several years from LA to Europe, Mexico, Hawaii and New York. Her favorite jobs: makeup for Ford Supermodel TV show with her handpicked team of 12 stylists teasing hair and applying gloss while a speed boat zipped them to Catalina, makeup on a helicopter shoot over LA, designing beauty on a yacht in Monaco and makeup in Limos rushing to a TV set. Now that’s a steady hand.
