Go somewhere else, I failed my smog check, I went in and told Roland I wanted him to diagnose the problem he told me it would be 75 $. He wrote it up «to check smog failure» they parked the truck for two hours with the hood open. Never hooked up to the smog /​Dynometer. I never saw them use any test equipment. I asked them what the problem was and Roland told me I needed a Catalytic converter. When I ask him how he could know that and he told me mine looked too old. I told him his opinion was not worth 75 $ I wanted test results and a print out he told me to bring it back and he could «wash the cat out and I would probably pass. I told him I would think about it and left. As I drove a way I noticed a low speed and idle miss I did not have before «they looked at it». I am kissing the 75 $ off but I would not let these guys change my oil or put air in my tires. As far as I am concerned they are Crafty, Careful Crooks that will squeeze as much money out of you as they can.

At first I thought the price was only okay. $ 43 for a smog check? However, the employees were very nice to me and my daughter. The mechanic was nice too. The best part was he was fast! Got me in immediately and out. Apparently others charge for the certificate and he didn’t. The price is now very agreeable. I recommend this place :)

Contrary to what the below or previous reviews state, all the negative comments need to be read lightly! My family has been going to A+ Auto /​Rowland for several YEARS!!! We bring all our cars to his shop faithfully and have NEVER been disappointed. Rowland has always honored his work and has always made sure we were satisfied. We even have family that drives in from Arizona to bring their vehicles to A+ Auto! You will not find a more honest and thorough mechanic! Super nice guy, friendly environment and always giving more than required when it comes to service!
I look at the negative comments written below and know there are two sides to every story, and we all know how much it hurts to have repair work done on our cars! No matter where you go its not cheap and its not pleasant!!! People need to stop expecting FREE service and FREE repairs. No one goes into business to work for FREE!

I tried to like these people, but it just doesn’t work out when people get too greedy. Part of being a private mechanic means that you have to be friendly and trustworthy with potential clients. You have to make the clients your friends in order for them to keep coming back to you… That is not the case here. This guy could care less if you come back to him or not. After spending around $ 700 getting repairs done here in 2 different cars, I should be considered a loyal customer… Turns out I’m not… I came in the another day to get a small nail removed from my tire, and he wanted to charge me $ 15 for that. Seriously? It took him 2 seconds to remove the nail and 1 minute to patch… While there, I also mentioned to him that some of the problems they supposedly fixed previously were coming back. He shrugged this off despite initially telling me parts and labor were guaranteed. He told me that I would have to pay another $ 75 to diagnose the problem.
Screw that, I’ll just keep searching for another mechanic.

i recently had my car brake down an unexpected cost that no one looks forward to. A plus Auto did a great job getting it fixed. My car went into the shop Friday and they had it ready by the following Monday. Thou i wasn’t happy or thrilled to spend $ 372 dollars my car is working great. Should i need anything else done on my car this placed has earned my trust and business thanks again A PLUS AUTO.

Wife’s car wouldn’t start. Bought a battery but was not able to replace myself. Called this shop. The guy dispatched came within 5 – 10 minutes of the quoted time. He was courteous and professional. He changed the battery right in the garage in no time at all. Didn’t try to screw me with a tow to their shop. Just paid a fair fee for the dispatch and short labor. Great experience overall.

As a local business owner I can tell you that the guys at A Plus work hard to do right for their clients unfortunately you can’t always meet everyone’s expectations and who doesn’t get a little upset when they are faced with the fact that they need to spend some money on maintenance. Not the cleanest place and no, maybe I don’t bring my Mercedes here but have no problem bringing my work vehicles or my children’s cars for most items.

You need to watch out for these crooked auto repair people. I brought my car in for a oil change and smog and after the smog they claimed it failed because the check engine light was on, but when I dropped it off, there was no check engine light on. They took the car to the back bay and worked on it, then proceeded to do a smog check, supposedly knowing that with the «check engine light on» it would not pass and still did the entire process and charged me for it. After this happened, I told the manager or guy who was sitting in the back of the office that this is not acceptable and he yelled at me! If you consider this place good customer service then I think you can be happy anywhere. I will warn anyone so this does not happen to anyone else. This company does not deserve to be in business when there are lots of other fair and honest businesses that are trying hard in this economy. BEWARE OF A PLUS TRUCK AND AUTO IN CORONA!!!

Talk about an untrustworthy mechanic. Come in for a simple A/​C service and then walk out with a bill for close to $ 1000 bill plus other problems that were non-​existent before you put your car in there. Not only did they not fix the original problem but now there is a god-​awful sound in the engine that was not there the minute I left my car there. These guys will keep calling you every hour to tell you of another problem. Worst auto mechanic ever. If you like getting reamed in the you know what, please take your vehicle here and you’ll know what I mean.

I came here to get my Smog Check. It was not passing, bummer. Stupid check engine light. After getting diagnostic to find out what needed fixing and giving the okay, I was given a ride to work. I was called on my cell to inform me of completion and passing of the Smog Check. All is well. Pricing seemed okay.
