So… this was my old barbershop. I still go from time to time. Nice backstory to it. There was an older gentleman who owned the shop, he’d only come in to cut on Saturdays for the older gents in the hood(apparently old time clients)…well…for one reason or another, a barber nicknamed«Rubio» came to be in possession of it. There’s a few guys who have been there a while… Rubio(owner) the most Dominican out of all of them, he’s the only white one. Good for fades, gives a good solid cut. He’s the owner, so HEPICKSUPTHEPHONE, he speaks to the mailman… etc. Fausto– the old guy by default now(flat top and goatee) More of a gentleman’s cut type of guy, but can do the young folk cuts too, good for shaves, very cool to speak to. Robin– the black bald dude in the back. Quicky became the star of the shop(he cuts for Daddy Yankee when he’s in NYC). GREATFORTAPEUPS… gives a decent fade, but loves a good tapeup… tapeup…tapeup. He’s kinda stuck on tape-up mode but he’s damn good at it. Impressive to see him clean each clipper before he uses it, I appreciate good hygiene. Very calm and cool to talk to. This is a Dominican shop, there’s a rotating group of other barbers… they’re all Dominican, speak only a little english, but are good at what they do. Lately there’s a big wait at all times. Shouts to Jony(who moved back to Venezuela).my fave barber ever. A class guy and a quick barber.
