FAB Construction

I contacted FAB Construction about six months ago to discuss a skylight project. Franco spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me answering very detailed questions with the patience of a saint. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He sent me copies of his liability and worker’s comp policies, and assured me he only uses employees, not independent contractors. Safety is important to me (especially with roof work), and Franco was very knowledgeable about industry safety standards and proper roof/​ladder training. After receiving the estimate, It turns out the cost of the project was beyond my budget, so I had to wait for my tax refund. Six months later I contacted him again and he had the estimate stored in his computer, and was willing to work with further modifications to bring the cost down. I think a lot of contractors would have thrown up their hands at this point, but he was committed to helping me get what I wanted within my budget. I received two other estimates. FAB was in the middle, but I decided to go with them because Franco instilled so much confidence in me with his professionalism. We had to wait for the materials to be ordered, but Franco’s projected start time was dead on, and the installers showed up on time. They were very conscientious of my property (floors, outdoor patio, etc), and took time to cover and protect everything from damage. Before starting, they discussed with me little details to confirm what I want, and then kept me updated about changes to those as the work progressed, which I appreciated. I have clay roof tiles, and they were very careful not to break any. They took pictures of each stage of the project and showed them to me so I could see for myself that the flashing was installed correctly, the «leak test» was performed, etc., then they sent me copies of the pictures for my records. They finished in one day (two skylights installed!), cleaned up after themselves adequately (not perfectly, but acceptable by contractors’ standards), and provided me with the serial numbers/owner’s manuals for warranty purposes. A few days later Franco called to make sure I was happy with the work, which is the sign of a true professional. I am very impressed with this company and definitely recommend them without hesitation.

This place was awesome Francisco came out diagnosed the problem immediately and also noticed another spot that was going to give of problems. We did a second quote from another company that didn’t even mention the other spot and their quote was 2x what franciscos was. We also got before and after pictures. Very happy with the results and the rapid fix of the problem. Highly recommend.

We needed a skylight installed over our open porch entry. Due to my busy schedule FAB was able to come out and email me the quote. I signed the contract and emailed it back. They then came back and installed while I was at work again. Payment was sent and I never saw them from start to finish. Their work was excellent and all clean up was done. Will be using them again in the future.

Everything went very smooth with my repair. They were able to get me an appointment within a couple of days (even during el nino season). They showed up on time, repaired the damage quickly, and they stuck to the quote they gave me over the phone… plus it was much cheaper than other places I called around to. Basically, excellent service at an excellent price… I highly recommend them!

We used FAB for our two skylights and Franco delivered quality service from the consultation to the impeccable end result.

We had four skylights installed in December. We were very pleased with the service we received from Franco from start to finish. He was prompt in returning calls, thorough, knowledgeable and very easy to work with in every way. Would wholeheartedly recommend him.

We used FAB Construction for residential remodeling including demolition, framing, drywall, electrical, light tube, doors and casework. FAB also managed subcontracted plumbing, cabinets and granite work. All work was completed professionally, fairly and timely. We do not hesitate to recommend them.

We love our skylights! Franco was very helpful and ensured we were happy with our results at the end of the project. We had some very unique skylight designs that needed replacing and Franco was flexible as the plan to replace them was changed a few times. In addition some sections of roofing needed to be strengthened and re-​shingled. Franco walked me through each day’s work plan and made sure the work was done to our liking. We’re very happy with the choice of skylights that FAB Construction recommended as well as the work required to install them.

Franco made my skylight replacement super easy. I could tell Franco knew his business when I talked to him over the phone. From the quote to the day of the installation, Franco and his crew did a great job of explaining my options and following through with the work. As a Corona resident, I found FAB construction through local Unilocal reviews. I am glad I chose this company. Highly satisfied!!!

The owner Franko called be back on a Saturday to address concerns I had about my sky light leaking. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain my options. Thank you for the follow up, it was great and easy experience.

Started on time, finished on time, no drama and no surprises. I plan on using FAB again in the future.

Well with all this rain my 13 year old tile roof started to leak. I called and scheduled a repair. Also I needed a vent installed threw the roof. Franko came out fixed leak and his partner ran the vent. They left the house clean. Fast service thanks

I’d like to give the highest recommendation for FAB Construction. Franco helped us with installing skylights in our home. The work was done with great attention to detail. Even more, Franco stands behind his work. One of the seals in our main skylight had shifted. Though it was 2 years after installation, Franco came all the way out to fix the problem. He is thorough and honest. I will be asking FAB to perform additional work on our home in the future.

I got a bid from Frankie on my new home in Corona. I was looking for almost a full remodel, paint, lighting, ceilings, room expansion, built ins, kitchen cabinets, window, the works. The customer service was excellent! I have no complaints. My concern was the pricing. Their bid was much higher than the other 3 bids I received so I did not go with this company based on pricing alone. When I asked about the room expansion, Frankie said my wall was «load bearing». It wasn’t. All the other contractors confirmed it wasn’t. So it might just have been lack of experience as I know he mentioned he was new or maybe they just didn’t want to do the job. Either way… he was very pleasant and company followed up and delivered estimate as promised. Just priced to high.

After I posted my review, the owner Franco called me directly. He was very genuine and concerned about my experience with his company. He explained to me why he himself was not able to come to my home in that time period and offered to come out the next day, bid more work and even look over what went wrong with my original bid. He did all of the above. He got me another bid the following business day for more work, recommended ideas, and was able to dig into what happened originally. I was very impressed with his professionalism, and care for his customers. His new bid came out much more reasonable and because of this interaction I absolutely work with in the future.

From our personally experience if you want a headache to deal with do business with them but expect surprises along the way. You will not be delivered what they promise they will no do what they say they will, how they said they will, when they said they will and not for the price they said either. Good luck and we hope your experience is not the nightmare we had to deal with.
Our opinion is purely based on their work and as shown in the photos their work ethics is poor based on our opinion. They showed no regard for our safety based on the lack of support they placed on the lumber that is now falling not even 2 years within completing the project. Additionally we see inconsistency in the way they cut the screws some are large and others are small, personally embarrassing unable to even measure correctly this should 101 class. The list can go on and on… The work of FAB construction speaks for itself and you be the best judge before they try to take you against an actual judge once again good luck and we only wish we would of been warned in advance.

If I can give zero stars, I would. As you can see from the pictures below there is unfinished work and still staples on my wall with the plastic paper. They were suppose to work on our balconies and not the inside. Being that it is about professionalism, they could have done a neater job on how they left my home from the inside. I’m so unhappy and unsatisfied with the work as I have to see it and pay for what they left on the inside. It upsets me that I have to walk into my home and see that on a daily basis. The work was suppose to be completed in a certain amount of time and it took longer than expected with almost different workers everytime.
I would not recommend FAB construction to anyone. My brother works for construction and when he saw the so called «completed» work he pointed out so many things that were not completed. I don’t know anything about construction but I do know a poor job when I see it obviously. So disappointed Franco didn’t come back to do a final revision of his workers. He was hardly here.

Franco and his crew are absolute life savers. My husband and I had Franco come to our new house the day after we got our keys. He was there for about an hour as we walked him through the house and discussed our vision to remodel the house, with the focus of the project being on the master bathroom and fireplace. He’s a very nice, easygoing guy with a great sense of humor and we just felt comfortable around him right away. I showed Franco a picture for an idea of what I wanted for each space, then I picked out the materials at a store that Franco recommended to personalize the space exactly to my taste. The end result was something far better than I could ever even have envisioned, especially given the very generic space he was given to work with.
I also have nothing but nice things to say about Franco’s crew. I felt completely comfortable with them being in the house even when my husband and I were at work. Each and every one of them was very polite and respectful. They were even super accommodating and sweet to our two very spoiled kitty-​cats, and were extra attentive not to let them escape from the house and become coyote food. I noticed that the first thing they did when they got to the house was lay down plastic to protect the floors and stairs from dust and work boots.
Franco really stepped up to the plate during the remodel the first time it rained since we moved into the new house. One of the tiles in our roof was cracked causing major leakage and dryawlal damage and, to put a long story short, we had a serious «Oh sh*t» moment” to which Franco came to the rescue. He came out the very next day to secure the roof with a tarp to prevent further damage as the next storm rolled in. As soon as it stopped raining, our roof was fixed.
All home-​improvement skills aside, I just really respect the way Franco does business. He holds himself and his crew to a high standard, and it’s apparent by the level of five-​star reviews on here that it pays off.
I have already referred two people to Franco, including my own parents, and will continue to do so. As for small jobs, he was happy to paint the walls in the common areas downstairs and hang a chandelier so our house would finally be complete. Thank you Franco and crew, a thousand times over!

I cannot give enough stars for FAB Construction. Franco, Jessica, and the whole team are wonderful to work with. From our very first estimate with Franco, my husband and I knew that we were in good hands with FAB. Since October 2014, we have had 3 projects done in our home: Master bathroom remodel, additional cabinets with built in wine-​fridge in our kitchen, and we replaced a window with French doors to lead out to our patio and pool. Each project was completed with ease and the finished products far exceed our expectations. Franco and Jessica were more than helpful throughout the entire process (from planning to execution) and we knew that they always had our best interest in mind. We have had more estimates done from FAB for some more projects we are planning, and every estimate we have gotten is very fair.
We will absolutely be using FAB construction for all of our future home renovation projects. They are simply the best.

I had 2 solar tubes put into my living room. They did a great job and looks beautiful!
They’re very honest and provided great communication. Look forward to more projects with them.
