Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling

New to the area, Paul David was recommended by a co-​worker that had worked with them and had nothing but good things to say. They definitely lived up to this. I did a complete kitchen remodel and have nothing but good things to say about the whole process from start to finish. Even though I was living in the house the whole time, they were extremely professional, respectful, and finished the job when expected… Just in time for Thanksgiving! I always had phone calls returned and questions answered in a timely manner. If you are looking to do any sort of remodel, look no further! Great local company!

This is the worst company you can ever hire. They cause more damage than repairs, cannot keep a schedule, they have lazy workers, hire the worst subcontractors, lie about time schedule, install the wrong units, a job that should have been completed in two weeks is going on two months. Fired them hired another and going to sue these incompetent idiots. They should have their license pulled. Stay far away from these clueless fools.

We had terrible mold and storm damage. We were frightened and didn’t know where to turn. Our insurance company referred us to Paul Davis Restoration. The minute Jesse Ruger walked in our home for the estimate we felt at ease. They did great work and we couldn’t be happier. Three storms already and not a single leak or problem. They are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone needed restoration work.

I do not recommend using this company. We had a slab leak and we went on Unilocal to search for a general contractor to fix it. At first they were very helpful. The project manager (Jesse) came out quickly, gave an estimate, agreed to deal with our insurance so we don’t have to. We signed a contract and let them do the work.
This whole ordeal took over 2 months. They don’t have enough to people to work so we had to wait for them to finish other «big jobs». It was extreme stressful. My kid and I couldn’t stay at the house due to the mold/​noise so we had to commute back and forth to OC for over 2 months! We waited and we waited and were so sick of looking at our house unfinished for a long time.
Jesse schedule an appointment so someone can come and do the final stage of the project. Since we were out of town, We asked one of our friends to drive from OC to our house to meet with the crew. They didn’t show up. No advantage notice. Jesse didn’t give a damn. Didn’t bother to apologize. We were pissed but what can we do. He already received the check from the insurance company.
The project was kind of completed at the end, They never came back to put our bathroom mirror and stuffs in the bathroom back to the original although on the contract they did charge us (25 bucks to put back a toilet paper holder!!!)
I’m extremely disappointed with this company based on the work that we got. Please do a thorough research before you pick a general contractor. And yes don’t deal with Jesse. He seems very friendly, very patient and nice at the beginning just so you can sign the contract. After that you are on your own.

I recently dealt with Jesse and Eli on an emergency situation in my home, they were professional and courteous in a time when I needed exactly that. I will definitely be recommending this company to my family and friends.

Without a contract, on a day they were supposed to bring boxes to move things, they started demolition on my house. Then when repairs were very shoddy and unprofessional I complained. They cancelled my contract and now I’m left to find another contractor with walls missing in my house. If you’re okay with 2 inches thick of drywall mud instead of actual drywall, by all means hire them. If you want professional service and a job well done? Find another contractor. The owner of this franchise has no idea how to run a business or to manage work effectively. The only positive is that they’re now out of my house. They even left their lock box on my door.

After weeks of waiting for work on rebuild to happen, they called us to cancel services. They said they «couldn’t live up to our expectations «. All we wanted is the job completed! They left us high and dry without a kitchen and bathroom. I absolutely don’t recommend them.

Let me begin by stating I very highly recommend this company! I just had a consultation with Eli and Kirk. They were professional and very kind. They did a check for moisture and didn’t detect any damage. However, they told me to call them back if moisture was found once the flooring and slab were removed. There was a small amount so I called Eli who sent two of his technicians out with different instruments and they determined it was just condensation. It’s so good to know there are still honest companies and people out there.
Not only did they give me reassurance once but twice. I can’t praise Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling enough. Yesterday, another dry out company came out for less than 10 minutes and sent me an emailed estimate of $ 2400 for their services.
Additionally, they were going to tear out the laminate flooring in one room which would have been additional expense to me.
I’m so appreciative of Paul Davis Restoration’s honest and professional services and time. I neglected to say that their consultation was free in addition to HONEST.

We had a hot water leak under the slab. PDR was fantastic through the whole process. Our insurance company was a total pain and I was glad when the project manager took over. Their subs were very professional and always on time. I am definitely going to call them back to do a remodel for us

Paul Davis Restoration did a fantastic job with helping us with our insurance claim repairs in our home. We had 2 claims totaling 70−80K in damage and the homeowner’s insurance company was stalling and only wanted to pay 40K initially. We hired Paul Davis after our first contractor wasn’t making any progress and after months of living with torn apart walls and floors, etc. Paul Davis came and took control and got everything on track and repaired. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They were very responsive to our questions and they guided the very difficult process of dealing with the insurance company adjuster. They coordinated all of the different trades that we needed– plumbers, electricians, drywallers, painters, flooring, stone workers, finish carpenters, etc to make our house look even better than it did before our flooding. We were very happy with the results and it was a relief to have our house back.
Jesse Ruger was our main contact person and he really made the whole process go better despite lots of obstacles that we had to overcome from the insurance company, etc. He was good at communicating in emails and texts etc. to keep us up to speed on the progress and the planning for the work being done. He was willing to let us pay to do some additional work at the same time as the claim since our house was already demolished. I hope we never have to go through this again but if we do, we will be calling Paul Davis Restoration in Corona to be our contractor!

My new small business needed quick work done to finish setting up. They quickly came in and gave a detailed estimate, took pictures and their proposal left no guessing. Their work crew and project manager were superb, professional and left my place looking amazing. All this at an incredibly affordable rate.
Highly recommend.

Jim Sevey is the man. Got everything that needed work detailed very precisely and went through all the damages with a fine tooth comb. The work was great, and even with missing spots here and there, Jim made sure to follow up to make sure they are fixed in a timely manner– sometimes even the same day. I would definitely recommend Paul Davis to my friends. Although I hope to never see them again for water damages to my house, I would gladly call on Jim to help with any future renovation work!
Great person, quick to answer and reply inquiries, phone calls, etc. Really glad I worked with them, really came through for me.

Our condo suffered a really bad water loss last month. The main plumbing pipe to the master bathroom busted and flooded the entire upstairs, it was really bad. I searched on Google for a water damage specialist and found Paul Davis Restoration. There service technician Damon arrived on site promptly with extraction equipment, fans and dehumidifiers to clean up all the water and dry out the damaged areas. Jim Seley helped us settle our claim with our insurance company. All repairs were completed and our home looks better than before. Thanks guys !!

Paul Davis did a great job, actually better than the first contractor I hired last year to do a small job. Christy from the office called me the day after the repairs were complete to make sure I was completely satisfied with the work. Overall great experience.

Started off Excellent but very quickly went downhill. Chris Giaimo was the project manager on this job. When we called them, they came down and very quickly and efficiently handled the mold issue in my guest restroom. Literally, in hours, my entire bathroom was almost completely gutted and the adjacent room was also dealt with. Because of the laminate floor that was affecting the adjacent room, it had to be ripped out (this included having to take out a built in closet organizer that we had installed and everything was placed in my formal living room). After 2 days, HIPAA filters were set up in my house and the 2 rooms were sealed off properly. Then, it felt like we never saw them again.
Damon, an on site manager very excitedly told me that they had landed a huge job where a doctor was in need of a huge remodel. Since they were doing excellent work on my house, i was very pleased to hear that they were staying busy. But to my surprise, this meant that my little guest restroom would have to be completely ignored from then on. My wife tried calling Chris G a few times and she’d get a call back days later. The air quality was tested on a Thursday afternoon and the results were approved on the following tuesday to re-​enter the area. Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday. Friday we finally get a visit from Chris where he told me he enjoyed his brother’s graduation and couldn’t call us back. Cool. meanwhile, my house is in shambles.
So now we’re ready to proceed! Oh. but it’s a 3 day weekend and he’s going camping so he’ll get back to us on Tuesday. We had expressed to him at the beginning of the process that we wanted to take advantage of this unfortunate opportunity and upgrade a few of the things they were planning on re-​installing. He thought it was a good idea and wanted to know what we decided on. We sent him emails with pictures of vanities and stains, with confirmation the floor we chose. 2 days go by and he said he never got the email. My wife and I decide to start researching ourselves and we bought our own granite countertop with vanity and mirror. Chris said since we had done that, we can now proceed with drywalling back our exposed walls (i’m sure having bolts coming up from the ground and pipes being exposed like that for 2 weeks was safe for our 2 year olds).
I then get a call from our insurance company saying that Chris G had called him repeatedly about a new estimate and that they were depositing more money to finish the job. I’m glad he took the time out of busy schedule to hop on the phone with somebody. So we’re 3 weeks into this project (2 of them we’ve been left abandoned). I think we’ve been patient enough. I decided to get another estimate and was given something right away with a timeline of what we should expecting and how long it would take. Also, since the new contractor wasn’t aware the insurance company was footing the bill, the estimate was considerably lower.
First thing Monday morning, I emailed Chris and told him that we had decided to proceed with another contractor. I then followed up the email with a request to have him respond, as a courtesy, so we knew all loose ends were tied and we can move on with confidence. No response for either attempt. Very classy, buddy.
All in all, you can tell they do good work but they’re a small operation. Just as long as a bigger fish doesn’t come swimming by, then you might be able to keep their attention long enough to finish the job in a timely manner.

This is a first class operation. Eli Shapiro is a man of his word. I can’t imagine having gone through the fire rehab without his help or that of his staff.
