Performing Arts Empire was founded by owner and artistic director Sandra Mitchell in 2015.

Sandra M.

Business Owner

Sandra Mitchell is an Atlanta native who has been active in the dance community since childhood. As a professional, Sandra has enjoyed performing in, choreographing for, and assisting with many trade shows, live industrials, theater productions, benefits, church productions, and high profile events such as the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Sandra is blessed to have former students performing at Disney, on TV and film, on Broadway, in the American Ballet Theater, and running successful studios of their own. She brings a wide variety of experience to her endeavors and is excited to be pursuing her passion in Southern California.

This is my daughters first year attending formal dance insruction. She loves attending Performing Empire Dance. The instructors are amazing. The staff is very caring. They do an excellent job in focusing in the child’s opportunity and strength. They adjust to each child for improvements uniquely. I always feel welcomed because the staff members are so sweet. I feel comfortable asking questions. It is a good environment for our daughter.

My daughters have been going to this dance studio for 8 months and they absolutely love it! They have learned so much from Ms. Sandra! The staff is very warm and welcoming. You can tell they love what they do and they love each child that comes through the door!

Both of my girls have excelled after coming to Performing Arts (1-​dancing and 1-​dancing & acrobatics). I am trying to figure out where Miss Sandra gets all of her energy, ’cause I want some. She is so enthusiastic that the girls cannot help being infected by her. We are really blessed to have found such a great school and fantastic instruction.

My daughter has been attending since September and we love it. We always feel welcomed. One time my daughter was having a difficult day and was running late, she showed up in tears. Ms Sandra saw her and swept her up, reassuring her «we’ve all been there» and put a big smile on my daughter’s face. I love the skills she is learning through her ballet and tap classes and the confidence it gives her. I always recommend Performing Arts Empire!!!

This is an amazing hidden gem, they are tasteful in their approach to dance instructions (and costumes!) and while a dance recital is part of what they produce with their students, they are more interested in helping the girls learn dance skills and they work towards true development of their students.
Very impressed with their philosophy as well as dedication to not only teaching but keeping costs of both classes and costumes reasonable.
