Rodeway Inn & Suites

As much as I love Unilocal I really try and stay away from this place when it comes to finding hotels. Once I see a picture of some bug or dirty sheets that’s all I can think about and I can’t move past the fact that the picture might be 2 years old and the hotel might have done a 100% make over. Rodeway Inn & Suites gets a 2.5 stars on Unilocal and if I’d known that I might have just slept in my car.
The thing is this place isn’t all that bad. For $ 65 we had a very large room with standard but good amenities. I didn’t run a black light over it but our king size bed seemed clean and was comfy. We had fresh towels and the bathroom, although in need of some minor upgrades was clean with great water pressure. We had a large TV, mini refrigerator and a microwave… you can’t beat that for such a cheap rate.
The guy at the front desk was nice. We were able to park our RV along the wall of the hotel and when I had to call because we were running late getting back to check out they didn’t give us any trouble, so we decided not to pack up ended up staying a 2^nd night. I don’t know about any other Rodeway Inn but I’d stay at this one again.

So I don’t understand all the horrible reviews, the prices here are very affordable and one of the cheaptest around. Honestly, it’s not that bad or not even bad at all. The pictures are really what the rooms look like. I wasn’t sure what to expect and even warned those I was traveling with that the hotel we were staying at wasn’t the best. However, for what we paid I was actually pleasantly surprised. Service was standard, location was okay and overall the room served its purpose. For those with terrible ratings, c’mon people you paid a low price and expected ambiance and service of The 4 Seasons? Let’s be real, you get what you pay for and this place exceeded that. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is trying to save cash, but still wants a decent place to stay. Don’t believe all the terrible things everyone else is writing on here. Rodeway Inn is definitely a sold 3 and a half stars!

We’re stuck in a position where this is the hotel where we have to stay. The price is great, especially because they allow pets, however the quality isn’t great. Also, don’t visit this Rodeway if you want to rest. With all of the construction (both at the hotel and the surrounding areas) either keeps you up or wakes you up. They are changing all of the door locks and there’s a lot of drilling and hammering that isn’t conducive to trying to rest.

You get what you pay for. This hotel has holes in the wall. Crayon marks all over the wall. Stained sheets. Furniture is all chipped and dinged up. Office chair is tattered. Pillow cases were stained. Whoever remodeled the place did a horrible job with the granite and carpet as there is holes cracks and missing pieces. The bathroom is super small while the bed area is surprisingly roomy. Kind of weird there is no clock or lamps in the room.

Our first night in Corona prevent us from moving our stuff into our apartment because it was raining. I guess we brought it with us from Florida lol. We have two cats and a dog so we found this place. To say the least the first room they put us in smelled like piss. That’s because there were piss spots all over the carpeting. Must be the pet room, but who can stay in a room like that with an over bearing odor of piss. Hey management! How about changing the carpeting? So we requested to go to another room. They accommodated us but that doesn’t change the fact you put us in a room that disgusting.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was surprisingly updated for the price and clean. My only complaint is the internet is about as slow as dial up used to be in the late 90’s.

After reading the reviews and looking at the price, I expected something less than good.
Entering the lobby, there was someone who cared working behind the desk. I showed him the
Passbook card, and he found my reservation, mentioning something about the computer being down earlier. My timing was good for once?
I reserved two rooms, and he put them as close together as possible, with one room between us. The price came out to what I expected. I mentioned something about being concerned that they would give away our reservation, and he said «sometimes, it gets busy on the weekend», which didn’t actually deny that they give away reservations, if they have a paying guest in the lobby vs. someone on the road. Be careful!
I didn’t see the two queen-​sized beds rooms but they said it was really good and the king-​sized bed room is good, although I haven’t tried the bed yet. There are no extra six-​legged guests in the room, and it seems to have been refurbished a few years ago, with a kind of marble you’ll see in many motels now, even surrounding the bathtub.
They have included a desk and little table for two, as well as a dresser that holds the refrigerator, but it only has an empty space for a microwave oven. Don’t expect an ironing board or iron or even a hair dryer. but the room looks good and for $ 58.99 (or $ 65.99 for the 2 queen-​sized beds), it’s a good deal.
Parking is difficult. We’re parked at the back end of the motel, while the rooms are more central, near the swimming pool.

Great, humble and welcoming staffs. As it is a budget hotel /​Bed and breakfast hotel, so most of the people who stay are working class. The hotel is ideally located off 91freeway. So i’ll highly recommend to working professionals.

Stayed here for a week while I apt hunted in the area. It’s decent for the price… The maids count the towels, though, so expect to have more hoops to jump through to get fresh towels. Other than that, it’s fair product for the price.

The hotel is located in a bad part of corona to start. It is definitely overpriced for the quality and area. The carpet is disgusting. We booked a non smoking room for 3 people and we got a smoking room with a king bed and a roll away bed. I had to go to the store and buy candles and air freshener because the room smelled like dog urine and feces. I booked through a hotel site and had to pay for three nights even though we only stayed one. I got up to use the restroom around 3 am the first night and there were cockroaches all over. Don’t stay here you will regret it.

Upon check in, we were given a non smoking room downstairs. As soon as we entered the room, we were overwhelmed with the odor of cigarette smoke with an ashtray on the table.
Requested another room and was given an upstairs room.
The furniture is held up off the floor with cardboard.
The carpet is DIRTY — don’t walk around with no socks/​shoes on or your feet with turn black.
There was no stopper in the shower/​tub.
The microwave is an old 1999 analog microwave.
When I requested more towels in the morning from housekeeping, as we were a family of 4 with only 3 towels but no wash clothes, I was told NO!
Room 220 is right next to an empty room used by housekeeping for supplies. So each morning it was loud every morning.
TV receives 17 channels with no listings available in the room.
Wifi signal is very poor.
No blow dryer in rooms.
Pros:
Bed were comfortable but not as pictured on website.
No charge for printing items.

For the price, room is comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for $ 60/​night. Corona is a working class town. So if you need to be there and not spend a lot of money, you’ll get some value.
