Excellent tasting food, freshly made in front of you. Great price, great portion size, fast delivery, what else could you ask for? It’s hard to find restaurants with reasonable prices near the beach. These guys give you great quality, quantity and price right off the shore!

Quick service, delicious good, right next to hotel Del so it’s convenient. I got the no beans no rice burrito which was a good healthier option. Great salsa selection.

What a restaurant seats about 30 people in and out and they only have 1 bathroom to take care of all of us, and it happened to be on the second floor of the other building not even their building and you need a key that you have to wait half an hour for them to hand you the key. amazing I don’t understand what kind of City allows them to have one restroom on the second floor in another building and license them to seat 30 people. And once you reach that restroom good luck you have to wait another 10 minutes in line to be able to use it I’m glad I had an extra underwear with me I would never repeat my visit there.

Something must have happened since last time I was here. The view is still good, The food was miserable so was the service. It almost ruined my Mother’s day but I try not to take it to heart. The fish was so stale dry and overcooked that we thought it was chicken, Nope, it was fish we were assured. The carne asada was bits of burned meat accompanied by very dry rice and totally tasteless beans. I tried to drown everything in the mango salsa(that was tasty and fresh). The person at the counter didn’t know what sauce Vera Cruz was. She yelled the question at the cook who didn’t know either. Outside was very dirty, inside very hot and crowded(yes, I know it’s fast food…) On the good side, it’s still relatively cheap, but you get less than what you paid for.

Was out on a bike ride, found this on a corner with few people, what a shame, this was amazing fresh food. Best salsa bar ever! The Tomatillo sauce was quite literally the best I ever had even though in Colorado where we have a ton of great Mexican I have tried many. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I just wish there was one of these in my home town, Oh, and the prices for Coronado are also spectacular, breakfast under $ 5 bucks.

Came here after a disappointing experience across the street. Service was pretty quick. Food was very good, everything was fresh. My tacos came with 3 limes, a fact that delighted me(places tend to skimp on limes!). Seating is very limited, and since you can buy beer people tend to linger on the patio forever. So it would be a good place to grab take out and go to the beach. The Hotel Del is across the street.

I like La Salsa for reasonably priced Mexican fast food with some healthy option. Initially stopped by the Sun Deck at the Del, but it was $ 27 for fish tacos and $ 30 for guacamole. That’s a bit pricey for a casual lunch. So wandered over here where you can get an order of fish or shrimp tacos for just $ 6.99. I tried the new Yucatan — 3 tacos — achiote chicken, shrimp and pibil pork w/rice and beans for $ 8.99. Very tasty! They have beer, too $ 3 – 4. And pleasant patio, too.

Vegetarians: you can get veggie tacos but they’re a bit plain. This is definitely a fast food place, so don’t come here looking for authentic Mexican food. I found my food decidedly mediocre but thankfully affordable. It’s also one of the better options in the beach area if you’re looking to save money.(For those of you who have been to any la salsa before, this one is definitely above average. Great view.) As a plus you can select from a variety of salsas which SPICEITUP. Meat eaters: when we went, they were featuring a three-meat yucatan taco plate with chicken, beef, and shrimp. Highly recommend, all three were pretty good.

It’s a fast food Mexican place. If you are expecting a traditional one look for another one. Sauces were good. I tried Baja fish tacos. It’s ok.

We came here because Miguel’s across the street had an hour wait and we were way too hungry for that. When we noticed there was no line at La Salsa, we decided to go for it and I’m really glad we did. The cashier was very nice and helped me to decide between a couple items. I ended up going with the Fire-Roasted Bowl. My boyfriend ordered a Quesadilla for us to share and a burrito of some type(I wasn’t paying attention– whoops). We also got a beer and a blended strawberry margarita. Everything together came out to $ 30. The meal came out quickly and they brought it over to our table. I didn’t even realize the meal came with chips too– and they had a killer salsa bar! My food was really good too. All the veggies in the bowl were cooked perfectly and the broccoli was a surprisingly delicious touch. The ambiance isn’t as nice as Miguel’s of course, but for the price it is really good. Plus they have a nice outdoor patio(but no heat lamps that I could see). I liked that they have the calorie counts on the menu and that I had enough to take home leftovers for lunch the next day.

Conveniently located down the street from Hotel Del Coronado! Big portions, good prices, and very friendly service! However, it was extremely hot in there. People were actually sweating. I don’t know if the A/C wasn’t working while I was there yesterday or if they don’t have A/C at all but it was quite unbearable.

Nice for a quick, cheap Mexican meal. Chain store and not a sit down and order place. Good happy hour deals and friendly staff

Pretty good! I’d say it’s on Adobe’s level… Still not effin wit Chipotle doe! I got the chicken fiesta bowl with no cheese and liked it. It was nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. I like the chips a lot! The salsa bar is pretty diverse but I don’t get why there’s never a «kinda spicy» option. Like, why does it have to go from nearly flavorless to HOTAS F*UCK?! Oh and they have a pretty good Thursday & Friday afternoon deal on margaritas.

Great place to grab a bite near Coronado Beach! Great view of the Hotel Del as well! Had the shrimp tacos for about $ 7. Came with rice and beans and 2 shrimp tacos! Indoor and outdoor seating available! The beans were cooked to perfection and had a slight spice to them which was really good! The staff was friendly and everything was cooked fresh when ordered. The in house chips were fresh and very good! Can’t wait to go back and try other things! The only downfall would be that the bathrooms are located outside the restaurant and you need a key to use them. Other than that, we had a great lunch and will be going back in the future!

We needed a quick snack before dinner, so we stopped by here. I got a fish taco and it was okay. I loaded it with stuff from the salsa bar and it was pretty good. I like one of the salsas and the cilantro onion mix. The fish was actually not that bad. It was lightly battered and pretty moist. Overall, definitely not the best fish taco I’ve had, but it was not bad.

This place reminds me of Rubio’s but smaller, with a different color scheme, and with mango salsa at their salsa bar. After a two-hour long walk on the beach, we wanted something quick and without much fuss. We found this place really close to the beach, so we decided to check it out. I ordered the Chili Lime Chicken Salad and Grilled Fish Taco. Both orders came with chips. The salad was decent. I enjoyed the lightness of the dressing; in taste and amount. I also liked that they used cotija cheese on it; I wished they used this type of cheese on the taco too. Regardless, I enjoyed the taco. The piece of fish in it was cooked and seasoned nicely. It was drizzled with a cilantro sauce which I found to be a wonderful substitute for whatever the typical fish taco sauce is. For those who love mangos, the mango salsa is a must. I happen to be one of those people, so I really enjoyed adding this to my fish taco and of course scooping it up with some chips. If my salad wasn’t already tossed with dressing, I would have used it as the dressing. What made this salsa stand out was the the fact that it had a creamy base(possibly from mango juice and purée) yet it wasn’t sweet. One quick note to add about an inconvenience: the bathroom was not in the restaurant itself. It sounded as if it was around the corner on the second floor. Too much trouble to wash my hands, so I just used a napkin to handle my taco. All in all, it was worthy of 3.5 stars, but I’ll round up for the mango salsa. It was a fairly quick and inexpensive meal that allowed us to get back to the beach and take a nap.
