Although the couple’s massage Groupon was sold out, I balled out of control and booked one anyway. It was clean and quiet, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon massage. The room they put us in was pretty small, but I imagine it was more inconvenient for the masseuses than for us. Soundtrack was relaxing, the room was juuuuuust bright enough to prevent me from falling into REM. I asked for medium firmness, which was pretty accurate except at the shoulders, but I’m a big baby when it comes to releasing my shoulders anyway. The rest of the massage was great, although I wish she spent more time on my neck area. Afterward I felt like I was floating on a cloud without a care in the world. Unfortunately this was short lived as we couldn’t find a place to deliver carne asada fries. For $ 120 (without tip) the massage was a steal – I will definitely be stopping by if I’m ever in the area again!

My husband and I bought a Groupon for a couples massage, so we were unsure of what we would get when we made our appointment. What a lovely experience. The women were VERY professional and thorough. My husband (his first massage in a spa) is convinced we need to visit every few months and I am too! I gave it four stars instead of five as the waiting room space is small and a bit cramped. However once in your massage room the experience was relaxing and therapeutic.

Came here for a couple’s massage.
So l was under a lot of stress last week because I was taking the CA bar examination and Stacie thought she would cheer me up by taking me here. She planned our trip as a surprise since she knew I had never had a professional massage before. By the end of it I was quite relaxed and my body felt less tense. I am contemplating scheduling my own appointment for after I finish running the SD half marathon.

My husband and I came here for a couples massage, overall great experience! The staff was friendly and got us checked in right away. Both my husband and I agreed that the massages were AMAZING, some of the best we have ever had! We already decided we will be back!
The only reason I docked one star is the facility is a bit small/​cramped. However, all of that melts away when you are on the table having a fabulous massage!

Ok, you people didn’t listen. You kept going to Malahini and Jean had to hire help, lucky for me she hires talented therapists that are also outstanding. Thank you Jan, that’s right Jean hired Jan as a therapist. Also, lucky that if you ask for Jean and meant to ask for Jan it really doesn’t matter they are both awesome, so just go with it. Thank you Jan for a great deep tissue, my neck feels way better after killing me for over a week. After your massage show Jan and Jean how much you appreciate them with a nice tip. They will work hard for you and they deserve it.

Ahhhhmazing anniversary gift! We got a 1 hr couples deep tissue massage that was wonderful & very economically priced! My only critique, if I’m being hyper critical, was that they skipped our feet & could’ve spent a bit more time on our calves, but I highly recommend them & will definitely be back! Thank you!

For a reasonable price i got a full body scrub and deep tissue massage by Briana. The place was clean, professional and the service was outstanding. Wgen i walked out i looked as though id woke up from 18 hours of slerp! Briana knew how to work on my body firmly but not too rough. She enjoys helping people feel vetter and it is evident. Highly recommend

Just came to Coronado to visit my family for the weekend. Came here to get a 90 mins massage! This is one of the best. Everyone is very friendly. They offered me a glass of ice cold water soon I walked Great massage. Reasonable prices. They offered a lot of different packages for different prices. I have a lot of back and neck problems. Felt very relaxed after the massage. Ask for Jean she is a very well experienced massage therapist! Good job I wish I live in this down so I can come here more often! Great job!

Bought a Groupon for a couples massage and brought my husband on his birthday. Cute little spa and the ladies (our therapists) were super friendly. Offered us water while we filled out our intake forms.
The couples room was very nice. They even have bamboo slits on the ceiling (only on one side-​so those who want really deep pressure can be walked on lol) which is pretty cool!
It’s been a loooong time since I’ve received a massage so I thoroughly enjoyed myself. (I’m a massage therapist myself so I usually don’t make the time for self care-​terrible habit). The only reason I gave four stars was because the draping was a bit… less conservative then I’m used too lol. My husband felt a tad awkward at times because he was a male and had the same type of draping, but he still enjoyed his massage.
They have a great military rate and are very accommodating. Would definitely recommend to others and hope to make a trip back there before we move.

I spent the holiday weekend in lovely Coronado. On Labor day the weather turned out to really gloomy so I decided to treat myself to a nice afternoon massage.
I have massages regularly as a treat in Los Angeles and have to say I have never experienced a worse overall massage than what I received from Jennifer at Malahini Day Spa.
And I think she really did try, but she was just clueless! You don’t tell a client over and over again how tight they are, duh, that’s why I came to get a massage. I finally said that’s why I’m here but that did not stop her from saying it again as she moved to other parts of my body.
And at the end of my massage when I was paying her she had to tell me one last time, you are too stressed;-/ work too hard”. I was not able to give any feedback to the front desk girl.
She was having lunch in the reception area with her back turned and never made eye contact with me.
Her breath was really rough too. She attempted to do face massage and jammed both of her fingers into my eyelids! If I would have been wearing contacts, it would have been a real problem. When finishing my face she did not press on both earlobes, which is a major pressure point. I think she just needs more training, breath mints, and to stop telling clients they are stressed, no kidding that’s why they are booking your services.

Great services!!! My best friend and I went in and got the «couples massage». It was fun! I wish I could remember the massage therapist who worked on me, because she was outstanding. She is the one who’s trained in walking on your back, which I highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

I came here for a couples massage with my husband last night (3÷17÷2015) and we had a very pleasant experience. Google maps brought us to the exact location and we parked across the street where Peohe’s is. We walked in and we were greeted by two super sweet girls. We filled out paperwork and were led down a short candlelit hall to a room in the back with two massage tables.
The girls joked around with us before the massage and offered us waters, which made us feel comfortable and gave us plenty of time to get undressed and dressed before the massage. Almost enough time for a quicky with my hot naked husband ;) I suggested it but he said no! We got two full body, deep tissue massages and we were happy with our services!
I would definitely recommend this place, especially after a day in in Coronado! It’s beautiful down here and I love the tandem bike rentals across the street! It’s a perfect day date idea too!

zero rated, lame what ever you call it, because it was not a massage, the guy had one hand on his phone and one hand for Massage, but he had NO CLUE how to do the massage, did not know the anatomy, I asked him to work on muscle groups and he did not know what to do. So far the best massage ive had in San Diego is from Cynthia in Bankers Hill.

I went here with my husband for a couples massage and facial. The overall experience was pretty good. It was quiet inside the massage room, except for a little buzzing sound somewhere in the background, I assume from a light somewhere.
The facial was relaxing, and the girl even did a little shoulder and arm massage while the mask she applied to my face sat. At one point though, and alarm went off on one of their machines, or perhaps a clock. She was clearly embarrassed by this and relatively quick to locate it and turn it off, but it was a bit of a let down to have your relaxation interrupted so abruptly.
The massage part was nice, though I wish she would have spent just a little more time concentrating on my feet. I’d been on my feet pretty consistently the previous two days, and they could have used a little more lovin’!
Over all though, this was a good experience.

I’m in the car just leaving this place, and I couldn’t even wait to get home to write this review. My boyfriend and I wanted to get massaged today, so we searched groupon for a good deal, and found this place. We called before purchasing, and the woman on the phone said she would honor the groupon price without buying one. Big mistake that we didn’t actually buy the groupon, because then at least we could’ve taken up our issues with them.
Anyways, we got a one hour DEEP TISSUE couples massage. We first walk in and the ambiance isn’t the best for a spa, but that doesn’t really bother me. We get into the room and get onto the tables. The masseuses walk in and get started. Thennnn they start laughing. YES, laughing! At what? I don’t know. Relaxing? Hardly. This goes on for a few MINUTES. At that point, we should’ve left, but we didn’t unfortunately.
The actual massage was the worst I’ve ever had for deep tissue. The girl was hardly even rubbing me. It felt like she was just applying lotion. She did do a pretty good job on the tops of my shoulders, but when she was done with that area, my back started hurting. My boyfriend also had a headache when we left, and that has never happened to him getting massages.
I would definitely avoid this place. Worst «spa» I’ve ever been to. And it doesn’t seem like they know what they’re doing.

Well its been a while and I decided to freshen up my review. Stopped in yesterday and asked for an hour massage. They have a new therapist named Michelle who showed me to the back room. Laid down on the table and boy was I impressed, Michelle has a very strong but healing touch that not only worked out all the kinks out of my back but left me refreshed and rejuvinated!
Thanks Michelle you were awesome and I will definately be back! Note to management keep Michelle around she really worked hard and had a healing touch in her hands!
