Roy’s café is a locally owned diner located in historic downtown Corsicana, Texas. We serve breakfast and lunch cooked to order and served by friendly waitstaff. Some of our breakfast favorites include our hot cakes, Roy’s sweet egg toast, 3-egg omelettes, pork tenderloins, and polish sausage. Or just get a good old fashioned egg breakfast served with hash browns or grits, toast or biscuits & gravy and choice of bacon, sausage or ham, with a hot cup of fresh ground coffee! Breakfast is served from open to close daily. Each day has its own set of lunch specials starting at 10:30am which include a choice of meat, choice of 2 vegetables, choice of dessert, rolls & cornbread all for $ 7.95. We also serve burgers, club sandwiches, chicken fried steaks, fried catfish, and our famous hand-battered onion rings. We even have lite dining choices including stuffed tomato with chicken or tuna salad, fruit plate, and our huge Roy’s chef salad. Friday night’s we add in a little fun. We serve Prime Rib, Ribeye’s, Fried Catfish, Fried Pickles and Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño’s and our popular Homemade Burgers.

History
Established in 1928.
A short history: In 1928, Roy’s Café, then named «City Café», was 3 doors north of its present location. In 1932, the café moved to its present location, still under the same name. Buck Davis operated café until 1936, when he turned the café over to his daughter Sue. It was then renamed «Sue’s Café», which she operated until it was sold in 1941. Roy Justice changed the name to «Roy’s Café», as it is still known today. Roy had owned the café for about 3 years when it was sold. At that time, he requested his name be removed, but of course, the new owners never quite got around to it. Although it has been sold several times since, the name has remained the same. in May of 1976, the café was purchased by Vernon McGuyer. Roy’s is the oldest and best continuously operated food establishment in Corsicana and Navarro County, a tradition which we are very proud to carry forward into the 21st century.
