Best experience ever at a dentist office! They make you feel at home, the office is modest, and Dr. Garrett actually takes the time to explain everything he’s doing.
I love this office! Being from a Southern family where there is no shortage of warmth, this place felt like a little piece of home amongst the uptight culture of Marin.

I recently moved to Corte Madera and was looking for a local dentist. I was impressed by the reviews on Unilocal and thought I’d give Dr. Garrett a try and I’m really glad that I did! Everything about my time was really pleasant (at least as pleasant as teeth cleaning can be) from the friendly office staff to schedule the appointment and welcome me at the office, to the hygienist and Dr. Garrett himself. He took the time to explain the x-​rays that were taken and made sure that any question that i had was answered. He also seemed really reasonable and after noticing a slight dark spot on my tooth that could be a potential cavity, he said that he’d monitor it before doing anything. I would highly recommend Dr. Garrett!

Dr. Cam and Deborah are unbelievably professional and super informative. They were very thorough and when I left the office I felt so relieved knowing I got through a dental appointment without having a panic attack. They both made me feel comfortable and my teeth have never looked better! If anyone gives a bad review they are out of their mind!

Dr. Garrett has been my dentist for almost 25 years. He is a great dentist! His staff is wonderful too: Gail in the front office, Kellie the bookkeeper, Debra and Laurie, the hygienists. They are all good at their jobs and very personable. I have always been completely satisfied with my experience at this office, from the regular check ups to the needed fillings. I am always comfortable and at ease during my visits.
Billing has always been easy, regardless of which insurance I had.

Dr. Garrett is a great dentist. If there are any billing issues make sure and contact your insurance right away. We had some billing issues. The front desk staff told us not to worry about it and they would take care of the problem. We ended up paying over $ 2000 out of pocket that we would not have had to pay if we had called our insurance company and not followed the office staff’s advice and let them «take care of it.»

An exceptional dental office. Dr. Garrett and the entire staff, from front office to hygienists, are knowledgeable professionals that focus on the patient. I can’t imagine a dental patient not being completely satisfied with the experience.
Dr. Garrett does not try to sell the patient on expensive procedures when other options might be available. Fees are very reasonable for the service level provided. If an emergency visit is needed, they always seem to find a way to fit an appointment into their schedule. Appointments are scheduled so that there is minimum waiting for any of the services offered. I usually don’t have time to enjoy a magazine article before being called by one of the hygienists to begin my cleaning.
I could not more highly recommend this dentist for your family dental needs. Dr. Garrett and his employees will make every effort for your visit to be an enjoyable one.

Dr. Garrett is an excellent dentist who really knows what he is doing. He has many years of experience (his father was also a dentist), and this shines through his confidence and work. My old crown fell off. Another dentist suggested an implant (!) and significant work and costs. Dr. Garrett didn’t even bat an eyelash, knowing exactly how to get a new crown on and save my tooth. I don’t have dental insurance, and this office was able to put me on a short term payment plan. Office staff and assistants are also very nice. They also were able to give me laughing gas making my time there much easier, as I can tend to get anxious during dental procedures. Choose Dr. Garrett and you will not regret it!

I have been coming here for many years and have always received the very best in dental care. I had a bad experience when I was a kid and subsequently avoided the dentist at all costs. Dr. Garrett and his staff are awesome and they do a great job. Last weekend I had a really bad toothache. I talked with Dr. Garrett and he actually came in on Sunday to take care of the issue. If you are looking for a dentist that you can have complete confidence in, this is the place.

I found Dr Garrett on a fluke when I went to Anthem Blue Cross’ website to find a new dentist. As I’ve mentioned in many reviews, I recently moved to Terra Linda from San Diego and have spent the past few months finding new restaurant spots, aestheticians, doctors and the like. I finally broke down and decided to go see Dr Garrett as my doctor in San Diego is no longer taking my insurance and I have a couple hundred bucks left in my FSA plan. I figured that if I was going to have any cavity work done, I could blow my FSA money on it before year end.
I Unilocal’d a number of dentists my insurance provided me with and after narrowing dentists down by last name’s I wouldn’t be able to pronounce to schedule an appointment with, then by the location and whether or not I’d have to park blocks away to get to the appointment (as I’m never on time for appointments, it is crucial that there is always convenient parking), then by nearest proximity to comfort food after I was informed of the amount of work I’d need performed after stalling on seeing a dentist and getting x-​rays for a little over a year and a half, I came up with Dr. Garrett. All of his reviews on Unilocal were positive and I figured if I heard something I didnt like, I could always get a second opinion.
Let me start by saying that the service I received from the moment I called until days after my appointment has forever changed my mind on general dentistry practices. When I called to schedule an appointment, Diana, Dr. Garrett’s front desk staff was extremely helpful and nice. She took down all of my information, mailed out a welcome packet and followed up the day before with a reminder call. When I got to the office, she came out from behind the desk to shake hands with me and tell me how happy they were to have me. She also informed me that she called my old dentist about x-​rays but since they were from 2009, they were going to take new ones. I filled out new paperwork and was seen immediately. No sitting around in a cold lonely room waiting for the dentist to move down the line and see you. When Dr. Garrett came in, he told me a bit about himself, the practice and what he was going to be doing that day. He did a few minor exams which I was shocked that I’d never received at any other practice and made sure to explain why they were each done. When he was done polishing, I was relieved to know that I had zero cavities and my teeth were in great shape. Also, Diana informed me that they didnt collect co-​pays but rathered billed the insurance upfront, then billed for whatever they didnt pay. This sounds like a practice that realizes that dental work is often times unplanned for and extremely costly at the most inopportune time.
I went back to my office with a box of cupcakes to celebrate with my co-​workers then promptly referred them to Dr. Garrett for a cleaning. I was so impressed with his service, I knew they would be too. My co-​worker called and made an appointment to go in the same day and she came back raving about Dr. Garrett. I was re-​affirmed of their sincerity when I received a very nice thank you card from their office for the referral. If you dont have a dentist, use your FSA/​HSA dollars or insurance and go see them. You’ll never dread going to the dentist again.
(I’m not sure why Dr Garrett was listed as an oral surgeon, as he is clearly listed under General Dentistry. He did tell me that he performed removing wisdom teeth on a 90 year old woman, but that if I wanted to get my wisdom teeth removed, he could refer me out, so maybe he is no longer doing oral surgery? It is possible that he does both, however, I went in and saw him for general dentistry.)

Dr. Garrett was very nice for my 8 and 10 year old girls. We still use him for any basic dental needs. and his staff are quite nice and considered. I would recommend him if you are in the area.

I actually don’t use Dr. Garrett anymore as I moved. However, he was a great dentist and those that continue to use him based on my recommendation really like him as well.

The place may not look so modern, but my experience there was great.
The desk receptionist was extremely helpful, and the dentist himself very professional.
I did a check up and cleaning and was the best so far.
Garrett Cameron was very gentle during the cleaning and explained what he was doing and why during the procedure. Afterwards, he was available for any questions I had.
Great experience alltogether.

When I first went and saw Dr Garrett, I had not seen a dentist in almost six years so of corse I was scared and conserned. He put my troubled mind at ease and simply said…“you’r dental problems are no longer your problems, they are my problems and I can fix them.” He has so far helped correct a couple of major problems and they seem to be holding up quite well. I have a long way to go but I am no longer scared of the dentist. He offers affordible payment plans for people (like me) who don’t have dental inssurance, and the office staff is nice and frindley.
