Best breakfast in town! Their fruit pancakes are delicious. They are so generous with fruit you don’t even need syrup… they are sweet enough on their own. The bacon is on point, coffee is strong and the service is fantastic. My sister and I love it when we can start our day off right at Lighthouse!

I have to start of by saying I showed up with less than 30 mins left until closing with a party of three the food was OK the Mimosa was very strong service was nice

I don’t understand why some folks rated this place so highly. The food is typical diner fare, though not as flavorful or well prepared as what most of us have come to expect from a good greasy spoon. You pay a lot for that mediocre food, and also get it delivered with mediocre service by apathetic wait staff. In my opinion, skip this place and hit up any of the cheaper spots on 4^th street in San Rafael, or pay the same money for a much better meal in downtown Larkspur.

This place is great. Five stars for a family/​diner-​style spot. The Ultimate Breakfast is great. They are open early all week, kid friendly, great service, solid menu, well priced, good size servings, quick turnaround. Huge upgrade over Corte Madera Café which used to be here.

San Francisco Benedict was amazing. Service was friendly and great. Hubs loved stuffed hashbrown and fruit pancake.

A consistent favourite of locals and visitors alike. A friendly welcome and consistently great food. The Mexican scramble has to be the tastiest breakfast on this planet!

Our go to spot. Stuffed hash browns are amazeballs. Scrambles are great and the pancakes are awesome. Try the Strawberry Sensation smoothie.
Staff is friendly and they have been in the business forever — have been to their Sausalito location as well.

Just had Sunday brunch here. Great Scandinavian specialties. Real pumpernickel bread and super smoked salmon. My wife had an omelette which looked super yummy.

Horrible service. Lady (owner?) acted like she didn’t even care! Food took a long time, even with just a few customers.

We had a fabulous brunch here! Smoked salmon, spinach and cream cheese omelette was enough for brunch and dinner. More importantly, it tasted fantastic! Service at the counter was attentive. We’ll be back.

My fiancé and I stopped by for breakfast since we were in the area. I got the bagel and lox which was delicious and my fiancé had the eggs and bacon. We were both happy with our food and the service was great. I love the quaint and cute atmosphere. I recommend sitting by the window! It was a beautiful day outside so it provided the perfect view. Definitely stop by if you’re looking for a casual breakfast place! No complaints here :)

Best place to have breakfast. The food is great. Fun to have Sunday mimosas. The staff is kind. I love the décor and the atmosphere… very relaxing.

We were going hiking to Point Reyes from san fran, and totally forgot about breakfast. Pretty happy we did because we found this little spot. The owner (I think) is super nice and prompt. The atmosphere is really warm and just a nice time. They have AMAZING FRUIT PANCAKES! They put fruit in the pancake and make it. Their other pancakes are HUGE like they on their own could be a meal. They also have some danish food but we didn’t try any. Also the hashbrowns ARE SO GOOD. They have some kind of seasoning/​flavor thing going on and its really good!

I came here for brunch with some family members. We were seated at a long table in relatively short order.
Service seemed to get off to a sluggish start but then picked up steam. I had the all you can drink mimosa and I left with less than I could drink (always wary about «all you can X» offerings as generally these are limited by staff not returning often enough to make it worthwhile).
The Caesar salad while large seemed to ignore that a Caesar should be made with the hearts of romaine. The dressing left much to be desired in the garlic department. The philly cheesesteak wouldn’t be referred to as such in Philadelphia, but was a nice sandwich. The steak had good flavor and wasn’t overcooked. The potato salad side was inoffensive — nothing too odd or bad but nothing superlative either.

Breakfast with family after my wedding. Great breakfast! Got there and had a perfect sized table for five. Had Mickey Mouse pancakes for my niece which she loved! Everything authentic and was delicious!

I would like to give the Lighthouse Café 3.5 stars, only because I wasn’t too amuse by the fakeness of our waitress. Fake smile, and gave attitude when my friend asked for a glass of milk for her 3yr old daughter while we waited in line. You can tell she was tired but please do not take it out on customers.
On to the next moment, so much delicious food on the menu; and a lot of patrons. My running team was starving so our eyes were hungry. What did we order?
Crab&lobster melt with coleslaw-​Tons of crab but barely no lobster, but cooked to perfection on a sourdough bread
Homemade Cornbeef omelet with breakfast potatoes-​Innovated flavors and quite different from others.
Hot spicy sausage with bell peppers, mushroom scrambled-​Really not spicy but ok

Was in the restaurant business for 14 years in a previous life. Nothing drives me crazier than bad service. My overwhelming experience with the majority of restaurants in Marin has been people getting your order wrong, or never coming to the table… even when there’s half a dozen servers and even when they make eye contact with you, they still ignore you. In fact, in most cases, you have to get up from your table and look for someone to come to your table.
Enter Lighthouse Café. The model that all restaurants should follow. First, the service is amazing. The service is quick and pleasant and they operate with the smallest team I’ve seen for a restaurant that size. In fact,
Julie in particular is amazing. I’ve seen her single handedly take on the whole place when it was almost ¾ the capacity and you would never know it. This isn’t a fluke either… I’ve witnessed enough times to know that it’s how she rolls all the time. She’s constantly moving and no matter how busy she is, she’s always pleasant and whatever you ask her for… she just takes care of it. The best part is she makes it look effortless. They are incredibly busy, but you never experience the tension or chaos that typically comes from places operating that lean and that busy at the same time
Of course there are many other people there helping and supporting, but it’s a testament of what a great hospitality experience should be like whether it’s a small café in Corte Madera, or a 5 star restaurant in San Francisco.
If you live in Marin, and want a great breakfast place that serves good food and provides the service you always wished existed out there… this is the place, hands down.

So close to my house and yet I never feel like going here.
In all honesty, the food is not bad at all. The fruit pancakes are actually kind of delicious with really big pieces of fruit between the stacks. Lobster/​crab and lox egg benedicts are also really good choices.
The place has a very diner feel, but the food is much much «classier» than your typical diner. Very Marin-​like. However: the restaurant itself has a bit of a dirty feel to it. And so, when I’m paying $ 16 for an egg dish I feel kind of weird that I’m in a sticky sort of place.
And then there’s the bathrooms. I only went in once because the strong smell of urine was enough of a deterrent for any future time. Bathrooms show a lot about a place. I feel like dirty bathrooms and high prices just don’t correlate well. And then it really makes you think and shudder about the conditions in the kitchen.
There seems to be only one lady working here. Sometimes she’s really busy, sometimes she’s not busy at all, but she’s always going at her own pace. Very mellow California. Maybe I need to become less of an East Coaster ;D (yes, probably).
It’s fine, but I really only go here when my other brunch place has already closed.

Came here for breakfast. It wasn’t busy and got seated right away. I was going to get the Benedict since Benedicts are usually my go to but I decided to try their Stuffed Hash Brown (bacon, cheese, caramelized onions in between hash browns topped w/​2 eggs –any style) It was huge. Too much for me to eat in one sitting. It was tasty and no doubt filling but I definitely prefer a more crispier hash brown & next time less onions.
Skip the house coffee. For $ 2.50 you’re better off going to Starbucks/​Peets.
Minus 1 star for our first breakfast experience here. It was a to go/​pick up order. They got our order wrong, we asked for bacon in one of our breakfast orders & got sausage instead. We also paid extra for the fancier syrup for our pancakes. They included regular syrup as well but failed to label the syrup we paid extra for. We had no idea which was which.
Our first experiences haven’t been 5 stars but we’d like to come back & try their Scandinavian menu. We lived in Denmark for a bit a few years ago and miss some of the Danish dishes. Hopefully it’s just as good!

This has become a somewhat regular spot for my family and me to have Sunday brunch. Is it the best brunch spot? No. But it is pretty good, and it serves traditional eggs benedict — my «go to» brunch dish. Also, the Lighthouse Café serves unlimited Mimosas on weekend for $ 9.95, which is not a bad deal. They serve a bread pudding, apple pie and chocolate mousse for dessert. The place is casual and comfortable, but the service can be a bit slow.

Great homestyle breakfast fare and a friendly staff await you at the Lighthouse Café. This has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots in Marin, with their Scandinavian-​leaning menu of delicious breakfast items and assorted benedicts. The stuffed hash browns are deliciously melty and hearty, and the omelettes are fluffy and stuffy (filled with stuff)!

Three and a half stars? Unfair! I’ve been here for breakfast, brunch, and dinner — and plan to go back again in a few days. The menu is full of great upscale diner fare — with ridiculously good daily specials. Also, for the Scandinavian in you, a lot of the items are made from Danish, Norwegian and similar recipes. Don’t miss out on the $ 9.50 bottomless mimosas for breakfast and brunch on the weekends. The breakfast food is too exquisite for words — just try the eggs Benedict for example. It’s really, truly the all-​star of eateries in Corte Madera and the surrounding area.
