I specialize in athlete development, strength & conditioning, sports performance, and post injury rehab. I pride myself on being able to help multiple types of athletes reach their peak physical readiness for their sport & activity.

History

Established in 2014.

Swartz Performance was started by head coach Chris Swartz in 2014. Coach Swartz started Swartz Performance with the goal of creating a place where athletes from all different sports could come, train and reach their peak.

Swartz Performance’s mission statement is to improve athletic development with in the Corvallis & Albany, OR area. We work towards fulfilling this mission statement by offering our Athelite development camps and by providing FREE coaching to different high school teams in the area. Other ways the Swartz Performance works toward fulfilling our mission statement is by offering clinics and seminars. We offer weightlifting seminars to CrossFit gyms in Corvallis & Albany and other parts of Oregon, as well as offer coaching clinics to high school, middle school and CrossFit gym coaches. The goals of these coaching clinics is to help educate other coaches in the area about how help their athletes continue to get better.

Business Owner

Coach Swartz has been in the strength and conditioning field for the past 7 years. He was an intern with the Oregon State Beavers at the Sports Performance Center (SPC). He was also an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the College of the Siskiyous. Coach Swartz is a graduate of Portland State University’s exercise science program. In addition to coach Swartz’s formal schooling he also holds a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specalist) certification, and is a national level weightlifting coach through USAW (USA weightlifting).
