This place shouldn’t even get a 1 star. Food didn’t taste well at all! I would have preferred going to one of the betos restaurants like filbertos, etc There are better places to eat around this area.

NOMOREHAPPYHOUR… WHATTHEHECK!!! I’ve been coming here for about 30 years and was very unhappy about how it is being run now… and no more happy hour. My friends told me about the change, and I didn’t believe them so I went there to find out for myself. Looks like my friends and I will be looking for a new go-to place, which is very sad. :(

Have gone to this location multiple times and Luis has always been our server and he is always awesome. Food has always been fresh and tasty. No taco Tuesday specials other then you get a free kids meal for every adult plate ordered, which works well for us.

After visiting South Coast, we were hungry for some Mexican food, but didn’t want to drive over to El Torito Grill and the other Acapulco on Adams had closed. What a GREAT surprise that we found this Acapulco nearby on Bristol! SO cute! It looked like it could have been located on the coast of Baja! Then, not only was the food really good(LOVE their extra crispy thin chips and I asked for extra salsa!), but I honestly could not believe how FAST our food came out and our amazing server, Javier was practically running from table to table to make sure that everything was perfect — despite it being a crowded Saturday night! The Mgr(sorry; forgot her name) even stopped by to welcome us and thanked us for coming in. We had been tired and hungry going in and we left, happy and with a few leftovers for lunch the next day! Definitely will return!

Time for an update! Came back to find out that the Sunday Brunch has been revamped. The brunch has been extended with new dishes of meats, salads and desserts. The champagne is still served of course. Food is good and hearty. The omelette and taco stands are my fave areas. Very tasty and flavorful meals can be created here. My previous review is still valid and also notes on portions and variety which is still a good deal on what they offer. OverALL: Good for Sunday Brunch and worth the $$. We will be back!

I’m still at the restaurant while writing this, I came for the Sunday brunch(giggity). All I can say is I can’t believe this place averages 3 stars, it’s no Morton’s but a very good meal for a reasonable price and our server Alberto went above and beyond. I told him we walked here and my champagne glass was never empty. Do your self a favor and eat here on Sunday. I’m going into a food coma, Dueces!

They are changing up their Happy Hour menu and it sucks. Drink prices are stupid and food is no bargain. Disappointing. Guess we’ll be checking out other happy hours instead of Acapulco every Monday.

I was here a couple weeks back for a friend of mine’s birthday celebration. We had a very large group(maybe close to 30), so I know that it’s something to consider. Though the waiters were kind, and there were about 2 of them assigned to our large party, half the time I didn’t know where they were. There were many stretches of time without water… there were no refills of chips and salsa and with a party our size, you can expect for those things to diminish quickly. The food wasn’t all that memorable… The taquitos were… different and quite spicy. Honestly, the only thing I really liked were the quesadilla. I don’t know… Maybe I would consider going back with just my fiancé and I for another try… but there are too many other Mexican restaurants that were more memorable in a better way.

So i hadnt been here in a while and today we decided to try something different than what we are use to eating now. We were seated and given our menus that went great, server Gustavo came to asked what we wanted to drink i asked what types of ices teas they had i wanted a sweetened one and was suggested the TROPICALICEDTEA Once we got our drinks chips and salsa he took off, first sip of my iced tea YUCKKK it was not sweetened without me asking Gustavo came by dropped some sugar off and took off so fast i couldnt even say a word. We waited for a good 10 minutes before Gustavo came back to take our orders, the restaurant employees seem more focused on an event that was being set up. We waited 15 minutes for our food not once Gustavo came by to say our food was almost ready. Once we got our food he said if we needed anything else and took off my husband had tacos de la calle order which are chicken, carnitas and steak. He ate the carnita and steak taco and the last taco he took a bite of was the chicken taco he says the first bite the chicken seemed hard but he took a second bite and it was hard so he had me try a piece of chicken and let me tell you that chicken was sooo hard a fork wouldnt go thru it and the chicken had to texture it was hard as a rock i spit it right out and I immediately started looking around to see if i could se Gustavo he was to busy that he wouldnt even turn to see our table until he caught me looking his way and sent our way his helper which i told him the chicken was not good and he said he was going to go tell Gustavo but Gustavo never came by to ask about it took us about 15 min for Gustavo to come close to us luckly he came by a table next to us and my husband asked for the bill . He brought the bill and left so at this point i was so disappointed at the service i told my husband lets just go pay to the front i was not about to wait like an idiot until he would decide to come by I did not left any tip even though after we got our change back he stuck around to see if we would leave tip. Yea now he notices us. But sorry no tip horrible service, never again coming here, this place needs to appreciate customers more and hire people who are willing to offer good customer service

Went today with some girlfriends for brunch. The new brunch buffet is Amazing!!! Omelette bar, waffle bar, made to order chopped salad, new seafood selections(calamari ceviche. yum!), and of course all the tried and true Mexican favorites including, Sopas, tacos, sweet corn cake, enchiladas, etc. Oh! Can’t forget the dessert bar! Incredible!!! Our waitress Mina was great! So nice and fun! We were all stuffed and beyond impressed when we left. Can’t wait to go back!

This was the first time our family came to this location after finding out that the one on Adams closed(sad :(). We didn’t come at a particularly odd time, and thought it was sad to see so few customers. I had not been to Acapulco in years and was excited to come back. FOOD l 3.5 — salsa l 5: yes, salsa gets its own rating because my family loves salsa. And by love, I mean, we ask for the giant guacamole bowls to hold our salsa. It is a bit spicy, so people who can’t tolerate spicy flavors, you’ve been warned! — fajitas gigante l 4: [RECOMMEND] we ALWAYS order this, and it’s usually pretty good. Comes with shrimp, chicken, steak over a pile of bell peppers and onion strips, beans, rice, tomatoes, and guacamole on another dish, and 6 tortillas. My only complaint would be that the portions of the beans and rice got smaller and the baby scoop of guacamole is no bueno. — seafood trio l 2: [do not recommend] mahi mahi fillet, crab enchilada, and 3 shrimp skewers, some stir fry veggies, rice. Unfortunately my favorites were the shrimp skewers and rice, everything else was bleh. The sautéed vegetables were extremely salty, the crab enchilada smelled and tasted fishy, and the mahi mahi was alright. SERVICE l 3: The lady who first took our order and brought our waters never came back after that. Perhaps she was on break or ended her shift, but at other restaurants, they usually let you know if someone else will be taking over. I had to ask for water after several workers passed by, but the man we flagged down was helpful for the rest of our lunch. AMBIENCE l 3: I thought it was weird that they were playing Jason Mraz at a Mexican restaurant(although I love ya, Jason). We also didn’t have utensils and had to ask for them. PRO: — yummy salsa — large portions CON: — salty food — service hit/miss — pricey TIPS: They often have coupons for BOGO entrees. When I last came to Acapulco, it was buy one entrée, get a second for $ 2.99 but I guess now it’s $ 4.99 for the second entrée. VERDICT: Acapulco wouldn’t be the first restaurant I think of when I crave Mexican food, but I wouldn’t mind coming again for the fajitas!

Nancy waited on us & was an excellent adorable waitress. We shared a large bowl of tortilla soup & I paid the $ 1 more to have 180 silver. Well worth the $ 1. Was kinda hoping after all my check ins for a free appetizer but not yet.

Large group, great service, great food. Well done! Apprently, this group of 20. the last family standing after a wedding weekend… were all craving mexican food. Called and arranged our group to have dinner on the patio the evening of July 4th before leaving Costa Mesa. As expected, pretty quiet inside. A set up of tables was ready for us on the patio. We drifted in gradually and as each took their seat, the server was prompt to get drink requests. Ample chips and(most awesome) salsa right in front of me. Food orders were taken and a few drink refills arrived. I was most impressed that almost all the food came out together or within only a couple minutes. No one was left watching the others eat. In my group of three, I only know what two of us had, and really only paid attention to my own. ** Tacos de la Calle — a trio of street tacos — one carnitas, one steak and one chicken. Served with sautéed fresh vegetables and charro beans. Fabulous. Just what I wanted. Tasty, not heavy, and plenty filling. The veges al dente and charro beans with just the right mellow heat. I was surprised, with a group of this size, the restaurant did not add a mandatory tip. The staff probably did better off on the tip than if they had added a tip for us.

I really don’t care about«authentic». I care about«tasty». I care about«good value». I care about«ambiance» and«good service». Acapulco was never authentic but it was always tasty, always a good value, and the ambiance and service were also never lacking. So what happened? I don’t know. I come here on the regular with my 87-year old mom. It’s one of those rare places which we both can agree upon. She’s still fine with it but she’s also not noticing the things that I’m noticing. For starters, it looks like everyone has suddenly gone elsewhere. The last few times I’ve been in the place has been nowhere near full and there’s «help wanted’ signs in the entrance lobby. I’m struggling to figure out what this means or why it matters but it does. It’s left me with a) a feeling that hardly anyone is coming here anymore b) the workers are new and not well trained and c) nobody working here is performing at the top of their game. A few years ago I had a job where I didn’t have enough to do. It’s amazing how that affects your work habits. Your mind isn’t being exercised and everything begins to get a little less sharp. That’s my assessment of what’s happening here. On my last visit, in a dining room about 80% empty, I was seated beside a plate glass window which had the sticky handprints of children all over it. Someone should be noticing this stuff and cleaning it but they’re not. Without the turmoil of a busy restaurant the little things, the things that make a difference, are being overlooked. Because we have so few things we agree on and because she’s 87 I’m sure I’ll be back here with my mom at least once more. I hope that they can get the place back on track. I’m sure my mom has some money-off coupons and I’m looking forward, optimistically, to a return of Acapulco circa 2013.

Went in for cinco de mayo. Based on their email promotions and their in-restaurant promotions at the tables(and all around the restaurant) which said«drink specials» we thought there would actually be some drink specials. We asked the waiter what these specials were, and he informs us that there are no specials. Um. Ok. Not only were there no specials, service was just horrible. We have been in here quite a few times before for Margarita Monday and other happy hours etc, but this whole experience makes me not interested in coming back.

This place had such an awesome vibe and awesome service!!! Our waiter was on top of everything, and I mean on top of EVERYTHING. He was such a great server my boyfriend left him a 40% tip! That guy deserved it. We also used a coupon in the mail that said buy one entrée get the second one for $ 3.49!!!
