Excellent Shop! I had a mobile Mechanic come out and replace a Hydraulic Trim Pump, it was used, and stopped working after 1 time using it. I was trying to save money. I took my boat into Advanced Marine to have them look at it. Long story short they replaced the Pump with a brand new one, for the exact same price as I paid for the used one. Also they had it back to me within a couple hours. Couldn’t be happier! Highly recommended!

Very fair and very knowledgeable. Also very nice people. I am so glad they decided to stay in Newport Beach instead of moving to Orange. I have had unfair price quotes from other establishments. I will go back again. Hopefully not real soon. ha ha

I bought a 23 ft chris craft center consol boat from Dave
the boat broke down and when it was @ his shop he fixed it and sold it
using another pink slip. He never paid me back and now i have to take
him to court to try and get my money back. I was threatened by Dave and Derek.
I thought there may be violence so I left without the boat or my money.

Took my boat for maintenance and to inspect propeller. Dropped off the boat on Thursday afternoon and it was ready for pick up the next day around noon. They drained and refill the lower unit oil, re greased the gears, changed the impeller and propeller. Very courteous and friendly. Gave me maintenance advise and tips. Will definitely bring back my boat for service. Highly recommend Advanced Marine Service.

I took my 1990 Wellcraft 233 Eclipse with a 570 Volvo and Duoprops. They turned my boat around in 48 hours and fixed a bunch of nagging problems. The lady on the phone was pleasant, the mechanic was very competent, and all my problems went away. I have been to lots of boat shops over the years. This is my favorite. I am sold on the place and intend on taking my boat there from now on. I have been a boater for 25 years and this place rocks. There prices were very fair and they did not try to sell me any unnecessary work.

I started taking our family ocean boat to advanced marine service 1 year ago. A family opporation and great service. The staff has been very educational and always able to get us taken care of to get us in the water when we need service. Right now they are building us a new engine and are looking forward to the outcome. We know that it is in good hands here and would recommend any boat owner that is looking for a reputable and knowledgeable boat mechanic to come here.

Called Advanced Marine to see if I could schedule a date to bring in my boat for an issue I was have with starting and my best guess is that my 2007 e-​tec was seized. Dave got on the phone and asked me a few questions and after a brief conversation he told me he knew what the problem was. He told me what parts I needed for the repair and I ordered them over the phone. When I went to pick up the parts, Dave took time out of his day to go over some tips to get the job done correctly. Many service shops would have taken the opportunity to soak me for labor, especially when you consider that without Dave’s over-​the-​phone diagnosis and advice, I was way in over my head.
I followed Dave’s advise and now I’m back on the water. He is very knowledgable and he and his wife (sorry, forgot her name) provide great customer service. I highly recommend and will be taking my boat to them when it is time for service.

David and Derek are the best boat mechanics I have ever dealt with. Let me tell you why, I bought my 2011 brand new Rinker and the service department at the dealership couldn’t figure out the needed service for my Volvo Penta.
The job is done wright in the first time, and I was never overcharged. I truly recommend David and Derek for all of your Boating services.

Dave took a great deal of time and helped correct the bad work that had been done by another boat mechanic. Honest, hard working, and very knowledgeable. I have an Evinrude outboard, and I was very pleased with the entire process. Advanced Marine is my new mechanic of choice for all my outboard needs.
