Alice took our «day-​after wedding» pictures, and they were amazing. When we had our first baby, we asked her to do our family photos. There was no question who was going to take our pictures when we had our 2^nd child. And Alice has been taking our pictures since. WE LOVE HER AND HER WORK! She is amazingly talented, and we plan to continue using her services for all our photographic needs! And she’s just a lovely person! I highly recommend her!

My sister got married December 2013 and Alice did the most amazing job capturing the joyous day. At the time, Alice was very much pregnant but her hard work and dedication did not stop her from working that day. Her work ethic is admirable and her talent really shows in her photos. Alice has an eye to catch the most sweet and loving moments on your special day. Something really special is captured in perspective and I swear looking through her photos from my sister’s wedding day really warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Not many photographers can capture these moments and make you feel them and relive them. That is what I find truly magnificent about Alice. She can bring you to that moment in a photo.
Even browsing through her portfolio, I found myself smiling and saying «What a cute moment!» I think that’s where Alice stands out from the rest. You look at her photos and see a moment, not just a picture. Along with her gift for photography, Alice is truly a sweetheart and makes you feel at ease. Ladies, if you’re worried about looking your best on your wedding day, Alice knows the right angles to make you look and feel gorgeous. Here are just some words that pop into my head when I think of Alice’s work: bright, romantic, natural, happy, refreshing, vibrant, warm, lovely, sweet and the list goes on!
I hope that one day Alice will be there to shoot my wedding AND I’ll make her stay and party with me! :)

I recently working with Alice Hu Photography on a stunning Westgate Hotel wedding in San Diego, Ca. She was extremely professional and attentive. Alice was very helpful in the execution of a surprise sparkler send off at the end of the evening. It was a challenge to maneuver 100+ guests with cocktails in hand at the end of the evening in addition to lighting the sparklers without exposing the surprise to the bride. Alice is amazing! She is relaxed, calm, and organized (exactly what you want on your wedding day). We have worked with her twice now, and we hope to use her again. Having worked with a lot of professional photographers in the past, I appreciate the fact that she is not pushy… in fact, you barely know she is there. She makes you feel at ease and produces amazing pictures.

We immediately fell in love with the relaxed, natural, almost candid appearance of the subjects depicted in Alice Hu’s photo gallery. For our wedding we did not want contrived, pseudo glamorous Hollywood images. We wanted a photographer that would get to know our personality and accurately document the true emotions of the evening. We absolutely found this in Alice Hu!
We were extremely grateful, after meeting with other photographers, that Alice presented photography packages with final prices clearly detailed. There were no unpleasant surprises of additional taxes or fees. Everything was laid before us without any pressure to hire Alice. Her honesty and transparency were incredibly refreshing qualities in the midst of a highly competitive industry
During our engagement session, Alice spent quite a bit of time casually conversing with us as she encouraged us to be comfortable and genuine. She also encouraged us to contact her at any time if we had any ideas or questions about the photography session to take place on our wedding day. By the time the big day rolled around, Alice was very familiar with our personalities and made sure our night went so smoothly. Sure enough, those images captured every magically moment of the night, and at no time did I feel as if a photographer was stalking me or trying to catch me with a mouth full of cake!
Not enough can be said for Alice’s «bedside manor» for lack of a better term. Her ability to squash any nerves of her subjects and bring out the natural, true emotions of a moment are irreplacable. The trust and comfort of those she photographs is apparent in every picture she takes. Without a moment’s hesitation, we have and will continue to recommend Alice Hu Photography to those looking for a worry free experience resulting in amazing photographs!
