I woke up on a Saturday morning looked in the morning and realized that the horrible balayage job from the day before was not a dream, but a living nightmare.
I took a leap of faith and put on a hat and walked into Tek Salon to see if anyone was available to help me. To my favor and luck Ashley Whitefield was available to help me out. We took the hat off to reveal my orange toned hair.
Ashley was very nice and easy to talk to she made me feel comfortable and I felt that my hair was safe in her hands.
I feel like normal person again and I can bare to look in the mirror again.

I found Ashley on Groupon for the BEST deal ever– it was last year; I believe the deal was a women’s cut, deep condition, partial highlight, and blow-​dry/​style for like $ 69 or $ 79: CRAZY inexpensive for how quality her work is.
I was 27 and had never dyed my hair and was super nervous… she was so welcoming, though, and easy to talk to. I moved 3 hours North to Ventura, CA, and I still book with her rather than find someone else in my area because she’s THAT good. Her cuts are flawless and her highlights… OMG. It’s almost exactly one year later now, and i’m completely blonde :) so she definitely helped me learn to experiment and not be so boring! She’s awesome and I’m so glad I took the chance and went with her Groupon because she truly is a gem :)

Ashley does to hair what Jesus does to people… SHE SAVES IT!!! After moving to OC I had bounced around to different salons trying to find my new go to girl. I finally bought a Groupon, wound up in Ashley’s chair, and never looked back. Not only is she amazing at her job, but she’s witty, wonderful to be around and always gives you exactly what you ask for. (And free bang trims are a huge plus in my book). Thank you Ashley!!!

I first found Ashley on Groupon. I bought the deal and was hesitant to try it out because finding a new hair dresser can always be scary. When I arrived Ashley was incredibly nice and welcoming. She took a lot of time to listen to my likes and dislikes. I showed her a picture of the cut and color I wanted and she was able to make it look just like the photo! I left really happy! :) I have continued to come to her for the past 8 months and she has become the only person I’ll let touch my hair.
I highly recommend going to her! Prices are a little steep, but worth every penny!

I bought the Groupon for a partial highlight and cut and I am SO glad that I did! I moved here from San Francisco a year ago and have NOT been able to find someone who can properly do highlights. Ashley was the answer to my prayers!
Not only is she my long lost San Franciscan twin sister, but she brings everything wonderful back from the city with her. Great personality and excellent hair styling! We talked for two and a half hours while she turned my hair vibrantly blonde, gave a perfect cut with layers and a fabulous blowout for the party that I was having that night. I’ve gotten 20 compliments in the last two days.
Can’t wait to go back for my free bang trim just to catch up! Would recommend Ashley to anyone!

So I bought the groupon for a haircut & full highlights. First thing Ashley asked was if I wanted a drink of wine, water or soda. Um hello wine while I get my hair done? YESS! She offered magazines and made sure I was comfortable.
Now on to my hair, I was a bit skeptical because I have dark dark brown hair and the past stylists I have gone to have either fryed my hair or could not get it light enough. Ashley was amazing. I told her that I wanted to go lighter and for it to look as natural or go with my skin as possible. Girl worked wonders, she was able to lighten my hair so much I was pretty impressed. They do not use harsh chemicals, because my head did not itch once while the bleach and foils were on. She took her time and conversated with me. She made me feel comfortable and not feel obligated to talk back. I told her I was trying to grow my hair out, and she cut may a ¼″ off that needed to be gone.
After everything was done, I went home into a different light and my hair was too light for my taste. I was hesitant to call her back, but the next day I did. I told her that it was too light for my skin tone, what does she do? She fits me in that worked for my schedule the same day. She added toner and poof my hair is perfect. She is awesome and super friendly and wants you to look your best. Sure it is a bit pricey compared to other salons, but for the service and products they use on your hair is worth it. I look forward to when I have to go in again! THanks again Ash!!! :)

Great with color and highly experienced. I absolutely recommend Ashley because she’s really good! Seriously. Hair care is expensive and if I’m going to spend my single person money on a stylist I want someone top notch who also listens. and she does… She’s also really down to earth and easy to talk to, or not, if you’re not up to it. Happy camper :)!!!

I have been going to Ashley since 2003. I was heartbroken when she moved to San Francisco and am thrilled to have her back in OC! I have never had someone be so detailed and precise with color. She does the most amazing weave and not only does the color last forever, but the growth is almost seamless because of her technique.
Ashley is the best!

I am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend’s haircut, because that’s how good it is.
Normally, I wouldn’t be excited for him to get a haircut because it didn’t look right until it grew out a little. But Ashely is magic and somehow it looks good right away, and continues to look amazing as it grows out.

Ashley always makes my hair look fantastic! Never a bad cut or bad color. I’ve been going to her for almost a year and have never thought about cheating on her. Been through a lot of hair stylists and I can’t say that about anyone else! Thank you for my purty hairs!

Ashley has been doing my hair for about a year now. I’m so happy because she makes it so easy. I have a lot of hair, but I like to keep it short because it’s so easy. She makes sure I have a cute, super easy-​to-​deal-​with style, and that’s perfect for me. She’s also a fun, interesting gal, and it makes the time spent in the salon enjoyable.

I have been going to Ashley for 5 years now. Which should tell you a lot. Ashley is exceptional. I have always been satisfied with her work. (I’m so very sad that she has moved back to SoCal). She always makes me laugh, feel at ease, and makes my hair look fabulous. She is wonderful with curly hair and amazing with color. She always has sound advice with what to do with my hair and really listens to what I want and makes it happen. And she’s a pleasure to spend time with to boot. I highly recommend Ashley to all you lucky people down in SoCal!

Ashley is fantastic. I’ve been going to her for a few years now and even after I moved to LA I still drive down just to see her. I love her color, it doesn’t fade and she can actually cut my bangs straight, how I like them (who knew that could be so difficult?). Everyone I have referred to her stays with her too. Ashley is amazing! I have very thick, curly hair that every other stylist has complained about, but she seems to really enjoy the challenge! She managed to fix a terrible cut that I got in another salon and does beautiful color that grows out really well (no crazy dark roots despite my often being a month past due on my color)!
Ashley also manages to make the 2.5 hours that it takes for a cut and color fly by — no awkward small talk, just really fun conversation. I felt like I was hanging out with a good friend the first time I met her!
Last, in contrast to many other stylists, Ashley never pushes products, but has always given me great product advice when I ask for it.
Really the best experience I’ve ever had with a stylist!
