Robert has looked after a number of my Porsches over the years, and I will not take them anywhere else.
He always goes the extra mile to make you happy, and is very fair with what he charges,
which is a welcome change.

Had a check engine light on my 997TT show up right before a trip. Robert let me come in last minute, checked all the codes, and sent me on my way at no charge. He has won a client for life!

Porsche specialist without the Porsche price tag! I needed to get the front brakes done on a 2009 Porsche Cayman S. I shopped around for prices, and Auto Strasse couldn’t be beat! House Automotive quoted $ 1,060, Hergesheimer MotorSports quoted $ 1,100 and Auto Strasse was the best at $ 750 for the entire front brakes including rotors. After an hour and half, I returned to see that the brakes were all done, tires properly inflated, and they were running extra tests to see if there was anything else (results were negative, all good!).
To my surprise, he even beat his own estimate and the final bill was $ 700. I’ll be returning for sure!

This was my first time here: Brought in my 996 c4s to robert for shifter linkage issues and let me tell you that the moment you pull-​in it is obvious that this is a serious porsche repair shop: if you are a porsche owner like me you demand great service and are meticulous about your car. Robert was just fantastic i must say, i was seriously impressed with the personalized time he spent looking at the car in detail. He must have spent an hour with a flashlight going throught the details with me discussing the car. I am very happy with his service and price is definitely very reasonable. Brought all the other repair shops to shame. Great job robert i think i have just found my new porsche mechanic. Highly recommended.

I should have came here in the first place.
To make a long story short…
I just got my 996 Porsche back from another mechanic for a CE Light. They did their job it took almost a whole week for them to get back to me and I had to like hunt after them for an update on my car.
$ 1600 bucks later…
After it was done they told me drive it around for a couple days to let the computer relearn everything. Bring it back to them and have them plug it in again to make sure i ll past smog. I did all that came back to them and didn’t pass.
So they told me that they need to reset the computer again and have me go for a couple more days.
I can’t wait that long due to having no registration on that car and it not passing smog.
In the meantime my clutch went out and needed replacement as well.
Anyways, I called Auto Strasse, the place I originally wanted to go to and got Robert on the phone. I asked for a quote on the clutch and that’t it. After talking for a while Robert told me to come thought. It was 5.45 PM already. They close at 6pm, but he still took me in, hooked up his computer did some test runS, some minor adjustments. Next thing you know the car passes all stages of the smog check.
I asked him how much I owe him. He laughed and said in his Romanian/​German accent «nothing, just go get your tags tomorrow bring it in and we’ll take care of your clutch».
Ok, I know he is trying to get my business, but he could have just told me the quote on the clutch job and that would have been it. But he dug deeper and uncovered the current problem I have (I guess had now) hahaha.
He was very knowledgeable and advised me to «NOT’ get certain parts that I thought I needed for my clutch job. Which at the end after doing all the calculations will save me $ 1500.
Sehr Sehr Gut (german for very very good). I love it and I will take my car back to the shop this Friday.
Based on that incident alone, I already know that this guy will be my main mechanic for everything Porsche.
I don’t want this to sound racist. But it’s kinda cool that I can talk to him in German since I was born and raised in Germany and makes me feel good having a «kind of» German working on my German Car.

It is amazing how most of the reviews for Auto Strasse Corp have the word «HONEST» in it. An «honest» mechanic is extremely hard to find and I didn’t think there really is one until I met Robert. I hardly ever write reviews, but I have to sit down and write one tonight because I truly believe that Robert and his team deserve to be praised for their hard work, integrity & honesty.
My husband and I were originally quoted ~ $ 1,200.00 to fix the front breaks on our 911 Porsche. We made an appt to get our car fixed, ready to pay around $ 1K for our breaks. But to our surprise, the final bill came out to be around $ 400.00. Robert said that we didn’t need to change all parts for our breaks, only some of it needed replacement.
Robert could have gotten ~$ 1,000.00 from us, but he chose to do only what was needed to save us money.
Now that’s an amazing honest mechanic!

Had a front turn signal bulb acting up so decided to give the place a try. It turned into a minor project as the bulb was A-​OK but the connections were not. So, after a bit of trouble shooting, bulb came on, worked like new and I was out 20.00! Try that dealers! I will be back and enjoyed the education also.

It is a pleasure to work with Robert. He is honest, thorough, always fair and offers reasonable prices. I trust the quality of his work 100% and am very thankful to have found this shop. A rare find. Thank you Auto Strasse.

I highly recommend this place. Due to a large number of issues I encountered with my Cayenne one bad year, I had the misfortune of having to visit the dealer in Newport and number of independent places quite a few times. Auto Strasse was the best of all of them to deal with, and their prices were much more reasonable. Robert is very quick at diagnosing an issue and getting it fixed. He didn’t need to buy a bunch of parts and keep replacing stuff randomly until he found something that worked, unlike the dealer in Newport.

Robert has taken care of everything from electrical, suspension, brakes, services and body & paint and on both mine and my sisters 993’s. We just can’t say enough good things about him and his shop.
In the years we’ve been going to Robert’s, he has always been fair, honest and extremely knowledgeable regarding our 993’s and his prices have made Porsche ownership affordable.

Auto Strasse does great and honest work. I highly recommend them over dealerships or any other mechanic.

As one reviewer already said, Robert and his crew are straight-​forward, knowledgeable, and honest. Brought my car in for a service and Robert took the time to review the prior invoices I got from the dealer to determine what was needed. Instead of doing needless work, he advised me what was actually needed. And, of course, the price was right. I do not have to get a second mortgage on my house to get my car fixed.

My hubs has been bringing his 993 here for 10 years. Robert has been nothing but totally professional and honest! Pricing is fair and the car is always completed when it was promised.

Auto Strasse totally rescued me. I live 55 miles away and was in their area on business. The belt to my alternator broke and I was stranded. I called first thing in the morning when they opened, explained my situation, and they took me in right away. I was fixed and out of there in ~2 hours and at a reasonable price. The people were very accommodating, nice, and professional. Other shops down their way wouldn’t promise me that they could fix my car that day if I brought it in. I would totally recommend Auto Strasse!

Honest, straightforward Porsche repair. They don’t work on anything else. Just the Porsche 911. If you have a 944… they will not do them here. I would not say they are extremely priced, instead, they are fair and very easy to deal with. Work was quick and accurate. It seems too they are well connected with many other local auto related businesses in the area. Robert is a fantastic person, very nice. and helped me get through a difficult solution on Saturday when I got stuck just two blocks away. I think my car knew where to have a problem. I loved the fact that they took care of other significant issues rather than bother me about it. they just did it.
