History

Established in 2005.

The Beach Pit BBQ brings a little bit of the South to the Newport/​Mesa area. Traveling the US we fell in love with not only the taste, of true, wood smoked southern BBQ, but also the hospitality and comfort that came with it.

Specialties of the house include pulled pork, pork spare ribs, brisket, chicken and real banana pudding. We didn’t forget about the Beach part of our name so come in to try «The Salad» topped with your choice of pork or chicken, a true Southern California delight. Try the Dirty South Wrap or the Big Love!

Tom is is a caterer, restaurant consultant, BBQ Pitmaster and BBQ Competitor trained under the watchful eye of Harry Soo, International Champion BBQ Pitmaster. His BBQ philosophy, «No shortcuts. Take your time, do it right and make sure everyone that works at BeachPit loves BBQ and knows what they are doing.» Great BBQ requires great skill and love.
