Really great acai bowls. I got the green veggie acai bowl and a friend got the original acai bowl, and it’s a bit pricey at $ 8.50 but the portions are large and it is definitely very tasty, but not the best acai I have had. It wasn’t as sweet as most acai which I liked because it meant they didn’t add any extra sugar, and the acai is sweet enough on its own. Would recommend for someone looking for a light and refreshing sweet snack, but nothing out of this world.

Such a SWEET spot! This place quickly became my favorite spot for acaí bowl after giving it a try for the first time last week with my boyfriend. We got the«Classic» bowl which came with blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. My boyfriend, who didn’t really like acaí bowls that much came to love it after eating at this place. The blend is balanced between sweet and sour. What I like about this place is that they arrange the granola and almonds in the center, so you can keep eating it along as you go down your bowl unlike most places where they place it right on top of your blend. They leave the honey, sugar, and agave out so you can feel free to put as much as you like too! I haven’t tried the other bowls yet, but I will most definitely come back soon for more to try the rest! *This place is located inside of a plaza. It’s not an individual shop of its own. *They sell pressed juices, shakes, and other goodies here besides acaí bowls too!

First let me say I own a juice bar that is similar(Sejuiced) but I was starving and was here shopping so I thought I’d try this cute place out. I got a peanut butter pitaya bowl and the girl was nice and friendly, my bowl came out fast and beautiful. The only thing that I could suggest is the employee didn’t know if the granola was gluten free. Great experience and I’d defiantly recommend!

Solid smoothies here! Cute location and décor! Totally underrated plaza Context: Met up with one of my girlfriends here on a weekday afternoon-ish Food: * Acai Bowl: Friend always orders this and loves it! Looks tasty * Pitaya Smoothie: Major noms! Highly recommend Environment: Located in The Mix, this is like a smaller version of packing house which I love! It doesn’t seem overhyped as it’s located in a furniture area/business area. It’s an open vibe feel, and I love the seating they have! Service: Normal Price: Slightly pricy/average of juice places Will be coming back!

I really love this acai bowl place! It’s really good and the consistency is very thick. It’s similar to other acai places and I wouldn’t say there is anything really special or particular about this location. They do give you a lot though so I recommend sharing!(I shared with another person and we could barely finish.) Cute spot though! Definitely a good place to just hang out and catch up with someone.

It was my first time trying acai bowls and I’m glad it was at Birdie Bowl. They’re a large size so I recommend sharing with someone. But for a price of $ 8 I think it’s pretty worth it! It’s very refreshing, delicious, and healthy of course! I love it a lot! I recommend the regular flavor. Not so much the chocolate one

Love. this. place. Birdie Bowl & Juicery serves up tasty acai bowls, fresh pressed juice, oatmeal, smoothies, and other delicious treats in the OC Mix building. I’ve only had the chance to try their acai bowls, which are very refreshing and delicious. I ordered the green veggie bowl with pitaya and my friend got the same bowl with acai. When I first received my bowl it was missing a bunch of the toppings but after I told the employee at the counter she quickly fixed it. Not a big deal, but hopefully in the future they will remember to include the listed toppings in their bowls. The décor of Birdie is also so dang cute and I could literally spend all day hanging out at their little patio. Definitely give it a try if you’re looking for a refreshing and healthy meal in the OC!

This place is simple and refreshing! Thumbs up because it’s close to where I live. I’ve always sworn by the acai classic bowl, and it’s never disappointed me. I love how there’s honey on the side because for people like me, you could drizzle as much as you want. I’ve been here probably 10+ times, and the workers are all really nice! Also, the location is great because it’s very hipster-y and modern. It’s clean. Great place to catch up with a friend or even study. **They also have stamp cards! Great for regulars :)

Just FYI, this place is inside plaza. Luckily I was able to find it in enough time. I had a craving for a smoothie, particularly a date smoothie. I found this cute little gem on my way to school. Girl on register was nice, service was pretty fast. Cute that they have a little patio with windows that makes you feel outside(wish today wasn’t raining). Definitely a little hipster area but it makes you forget that you’re in the OC. That’s my favorite thing about this plaza. I ordered the chocolate date smoothie & it’s amazing. Taking care of my sweet tooth craving right now. If you’re trying to feel an LA vibe in the OC I recommend coming here. & if you wanna sit & grab a smoothie I’d definitely recommend this juice/smoothie bar. I’m curious to try their other smoothies & with time, I will. Keep up the good work guys! Great place!

I’m sure I’ve collected 10 separate stamp cards by now, as I keep forgetting to bring it every time I come here. After a hcore workout in the morning, this is the perfect treat to last me through all day at work. They have about 6 different bowls, smoothies, and juices, as well as a PB and Almond Butter oatmeal. I like to get one of each. JkkK, but I think I have tried everything here once at least. There’s not too many options, but everything has been refreshing, sweet, and healthy– just like me. Lollllll.

I love making green smoothies and I was so excited to find a place that utilized dates as much as I do. Dates do an amazing job at neutralizing any taste so if you’re hesitant to try a smoothie with vegetables in it, trust me the dates make it so sweet and yummy. I got the spinach and kale date smoothie and then had the peanut butter acai bowl. Both were great and all the workers were very kind. This place is located inside the same plaza as portola coffee lab. It’s a trendy spot and on weekend especially, it can get a bit crowded but nothing too crazy. If you’re looking for a healthy snack or breakfast I recommend trying this place.

Can’t go wrong with acai bowls from birdie. I always get the kale acai bowl which basically tastes like a regular acai bowl. You can see green specks of kale meaning they probably put like 3 leafs of kale in the whole thing. You can’t taste the kale at all, but it makes you feel better you are getting a little kale. The toppings are generous. There is plenty of granola, strawberries, bananas, and kiwi. The bee pollen is kind of interesting. It kind of blends in with the granola but gives it an extra crunch.

This place was a little difficult to find. If you’re looking for it, it is in the OC Mix building :) The girl working was very friendly as I asked her questions because I was indecisive and did not know what to get! I ended up getting the Ruby Citrus Twist! It was really good and reminded me of when I used to get juice from The Whole Foods Juice Bar all the time. I also tried the Vanilla Coconut Chia Pudding with strawberries. I didn’t get the agave on top because I wasn’t in a sweet mood, but it was so good!!! It definitely had a strong coconut flavor yum! And it reminded me of the Chia Pudding at True Food Kitchen! I would definitely recommend if you are feeling in a healthy mood and I will definitely be back again to try their other juices and acai and pitaya bowls, since all the other reviews talk so highly of them :)

I thought I had already written a review for Birdie since I’ve been here several times over the course of a couple of years, but evidently, I didn’t. Oops! In any case, I’m going to remedy that and give a thorough review. First of all, Birdie is located inside the OC Mix in the back corner. It may be hard to find, but I assure you, it’s worth it. Most of the time, I’ll swing by Birdie for the classic green juice, which is refreshing and slightly sweet. Some other juice shops have their version of a classic green juice which often times tastes so bitter, but that isn’t the case with Birdie. Every juice I’ve tried at Birdie tastes fresh and all of the elements of each juice taste clean. Sometimes, I’ll opt for a kale and spinach date shake, which is super filling, healthy, and energizing. If you’re someone who generally relies on coffee to start their day, try the date shake instead because all of the natural sugars boost your energy levels! Overall, super yummy and probably my favorite thing on the menu. I haven’t tried their bowls yet(which I probably should at some point), but a friend of mine did order one before and he really enjoyed it. He’s someone that normally doesn’t eat healthy things either, so that was pretty surprising. Overall, if you live in the area, stop by Birdie at least once!

The açai bowls here are beautifully prepared and presented, a generous portion and a great price. I wish the places starting to serve these in the Midwest would come out here for training. Staff are friendly and helpful explaining the menu to newbies like me. The location of this place is so cool. The shopping area(the OC Mix) is a bit of heaven for people shopping for furniture and other home décor. There are also a few clothing and accessory boutiques, wine bar, coffee, growler bar and even a pastry school. It’s like all my favorite things in one place, with plenty of parking too! Only 5 easy miles from John Wayne airport, SNA, in Orange County. Definitely worth a detour next time you’re in the OC/LA area.

As much as I wished I was a fan on pitayas/acai bowls, I find them to taste too earthy for me. However, these are probably the best I’ve ever tasted and I love the atmosphere of this little plaza! The OC Mix has a similar ambiance to the Anaheim Packing House, only quieter and less crowded. The decorations are cute and you’ll definitely find some great photo opps if you stroll around!

It was a delicious bowl of Pitaya bowl especially in this OC heat. It did take awhile to get it(which I didn’t mind), however when I asked this guy how much longer I need to wait? I got back a nonchalant reply, he did not care about the consumers waiting too long. I did get attitude. My friends around me. We all raised eyebrows. There were a few ahead of me who have been waiting for really long too and getting impatient. At least let me know how many orders are ahead of me? Great fruit bowl, with really MEH service. I don’t deserve the attitude.

I love the OC Mart Mix area. You get a collection of gorgeously decorated shops and stores, from coffee, tea, wine shops, liquor stores, an oyster bar and neat little record stores and jewelry shops. It’s everything you love and adore about the clean, upscale«hipster» movement. Birdie’s menu is pretty simple. They’ve got a choice of 8 basic acai or pitaya bowls to choose from, depending on what you’re craving. They also have some fresh juices that seem decent. They also make the bowl on the spot when you order, which is nice since I like to know mine isn’t frozen. My experience trying their acai bowls have always been pretty decent, but nothing life-changing. I feel I can always find something up to par at a better price elsewhere. As a big acai bowl fan, I wasn’t entirely impressed. I’d much more frequent other spots, but it’s a nice addition to the area serving up trendy treats.
