–More options for ATM use. Every 7 – 11 has a Citibank ATM
–If you travel, there are Citibanks in most countries, so you can access your $$ in most places
–They do not hassle you over unauthorized/​disputed transactions
Cons
They need to get with the program in terms of technology:
–Online banking was down for hours without any notice. Customers needs to be notified of this kind of outage.
–The app sucks. A middle school computer wiz can design a better app. It is not user friendly, the screen rotation feature is not there, and mobile deposit no longer works at the time of this review.
–You can only link your ATM with one checking account. if you happen to have two checking accounts, you cannot access them both via ATM

I really love this branch. Every single employee is kind and very friendly. They are always quick to help me out and make my time inside the branch pleasant. They take care of all my business account needs and make sure to communicate the most accurate information regarding all account regulations. I feel as though I’ve built a solid relationship with the branch manager. Highly recommend!!! :)

I’ll spare you the details, but I wound up trying to pay the bill of my new AT&T account by sending a payment to my old AT&T account by mistake. Could they just credit my new account? Could they credit my Citibank checking account (from which I paid online?) Oh, no. They had to cut me a check. This meant that I had to visit my friendly neighborhood Citibank branch.
I don’t often go to banks anymore. Do you? I remember the good old days, waiting in line forever on Friday evenings with my paycheck in hand. I had started my account with my old bank in second grade. They had this genius marketing promotion in my grade school called «My School Savings» where we could open savings accounts. Why did I stick with that bank for so long? Inertia, I guess. The tellers were really surly. I’ll never forget this one guy with a crewcut who was a high school principal. Can you imagine a high school principal moonlighting as a bank teller today? Amazing. This guy once told me that my check was no good. Why, I asked? Because you didn’t sign it, he replied. Nice! (I just looked him up online. RIP, sir.)
Well, times have certainly changed. The banking industry is probably more competitive today. Also, fewer of us have to visit brick-​and-​mortar branches on a regular basis. I have to say, I wish my old bank were more like Citibank.
I was here on a Wednesday afternoon at about 1 pm. There was maybe one other customer here, so there was no line. My teller was friendly and efficient. She asked me how my day was going and what my weekend plans were. I know that Citibank encourages their employees to do this, but I really felt that she was sincerely being nice. Not like how a server might act at a chain restaurant, but more genuine. How pleasant. My whole interaction took maybe three minutes and it couldn’t have gone any better.
Now, does this mean that I think that you should open an account with Citibank? Well, I’ve been with them for about eight years now and I haven’t had a problem with them in a long time. Consumersearch does rate them as the best traditional bank for online banking (which is what I mostly use them for). Here’s a great website to compare all kinds of banking products:
