For some reason when people go to Club Vegas, they feel the need to dress as if they are in Vegas and the bouncers feel this sense of authority too. But once you walk in, it’s freaken Orange County. It’s dark cause and the music is boring BUT the drink are crazy!!! the shots are huge… but not worth the attitude.

Big space for a club, but the one time I visited, it was almost entirely empty space! As the night progressed, more folks went in, each coughing up the ridiculous $ 20 cover charge. Drinks were expensive relative to the alcohol content, and they were in plastic cups, to make it all the more classy! It’s just not worth your $$$, or your time.

Swung by on Friday and Saturday nights. Looked closed both times. No line, no people, no cars. I don’t know if they shut down or what, but what a bust.

This is pretty much where all the rejects of Sutra go to(harsh I know). The only positive thing about this night was that I got in for free. I ended up calling my boyfriend at 12 am to save me.

This place sucked, they should probably change the name of it to anything but Vegas because it puts a shame to the real Las Vegas. Went in there around 10:30, there was almost no one there, music was not good, the DJ played some old hip hop from the 90’s didn’t mix it or anything, but that’s probably because no one was there, waited til about 12, there was a little bit more people but dance floor was still pretty empty with a lot of space. We left around 12:30am, there still was no line.

I’ve been here about 4 times… its really a OC girls type of club… I mean its cool, but I dunno… its just it felt really fake… I mean hot girls so I definately give them points for that… But every guy looks the same… dark designer jeans and a dress shirt… either with stripes or all black… with the top button left unbuttoned… and its wierd thing that, I live in Chino Hills… and everytime I go there I always see friends from high school… in fact alot of times when I;m deep in orang county I see people from high school… which is odd… So… heres the basics… Hot babes= cool… Spikey haired douch bags with dress shirts and jeans= not. But everyone is usually cool outside, to the point you can actually talk to a stranger… so its an alright place…

If you love douchebags and jerkwads, then this place is for you! I’ll start with the good. There’s plenty of free parking. The staff is professional, polite and even nice. Advance ticket prices for Giant is only $ 10. And since it’s Giant, they bring in great DJs, and in this case, it was Steve Lawler. Unfortunately, the good wasn’t enough to outweigh the bad. First of all, there’s a stupid dress code. Luckily, I didn’t really adhere to it. And they seem to be a little lax on it. Maybe because it was a Thursday night. I saw a few people who were dressed fairly casual, as I was. But most of the people(especially the girls) were dressed up with slinky tops and what not. blah. When I’m out to dance, I don’t want to worry about if my boobs are going to pop out of my shirt or if the boob tape is going to hold up. LAME. The venue itself seemed okay… except for the stupid fog machine. It would go off constantly. The smoke would barely clear before it would go off again. Okay. I get it. You have a fancy, newfangled fog machine.(yes, i’m being sarcastic.) I don’t think I need to be enshrouded in fog the entire time I’m at a club. Maybe that’s just me. The lighting was weird, too. Toward the back, it was really well-lit. And that’s not exactly what I’m looking for in a club. But, those two things weren’t really issues. I’m nitpicking here because I had such a horrible time. The people SUCK. At least 75% of the people there weren’t even there to see the DJ. They were there to get dressed up, go out, get effed up and go «clubbing.» I haven’t done that in about 10 years. And it was lame. I tried so hard to ignore the dumbass people there by keeping my eyes closed most of the time. Unfortunately, I’d have to open them again because some idiot would be dancing like a spaz and would step on my foot. I’m not even sure how that’s possible because I had a lot of space around me to dance. Or what was really annoying was how these stupid drunks couldn’t handle their liquor and would drop their glasses. The staff came out multiple times to clean up glasses and liquid. Don’t drop your drinks, people. Was last night amateur night or something?(Again, the staff was awesome and I think staff at all clubs should be this awesome.) And the crappiest of all crappy people was there last night. STUPIDPIRATEDUDE. I first saw SPD at the club at Ten(oh, you won’t get me to say the name of that club!) and he was a douche. In stupid pirate gear with puffy sleeves and for some reason he thought he was at a rave or a massive or something, with his stupid LED lights and whistle in his mouth. And there he was again. At Giant OC’s new venue. And for some reason, every time I opened my eyes, he’d be RIGHTTHERE. I moved around all over the dance floor in an attempt to get away from him and have a decent time. But he’d be there. It was like he was doing it on purpose because he knew how much I hate his stupid ass. And then he started blowing his stupid whistle and Steve literally had to pull me back because I was about to pull that stupid whistle out of his stupid mouth. Then all of a sudden, it looked like the staff took him out of the club. I was so happy, I even thought about giving the club 2 stars instead of just one. But then later on I saw him again. And that was the last straw. I had to leave the place. It was so bad that I had to bum a smoke off a random stranger boy. I was pretty pleased that he smoked Parliaments, which really are my smokes of choice when I occasionally indulge. Of course the kid was wearing these stupid«glasses» which reminded me of Geordi La Forge from ST: TNG. So afterwards, I said, «Hey, thanks again for the smoke, Geordi.» hehe. I am usually able to just ignore stupid people and just have a good time when the music is rockin’, as it was last night, but the douchebaginess(i’m SO going to trademark that word) was so thick, I couldn’t stand it. I have never had such a horrible time at a club. I would rather go back to Cinespace and fight off the evil little ewok yeti hybrids than go back to Club Vegas. I would rather go back to the club at Ten and get my eardrums blown out. Man, I’d rather be in bed asleep, even. There is literally not a single act I can think of that would entice me to go back. Not even for free. Hell, not even if they paid me… Well, maybe if they paid me a lot. hehe. The bright spot of my whole night was afterwards, we went to Alberto’s/Alberta’s/Alerto’s/Alejandro’s … whatever that place is called in Costa Mesa… because it was only a few blocks away and we got us a really big machaca burrito. num num num. Food makes everything better.

Its for some but not for most. I used to go there regularly a few years back because of good music and it was not crowded. They had a mix crowd with one dj playing the latest hip hop and the other playing 80’s. Now it is not so mix and the music is ok. Check it out if you dare to venture. Other options far exceed this place. The ceilings are low and it does not have the big club feel. Nice attempt but not quite there.

Though I never go to clubs, this is probably the only one I’d go to in the O.C. Clean crowd. They keep all the riff raff out. And the crowd ‘aint pretentious like other ones in the area.

I went there on a Saturday night, got in for free from being on the guest list through a friend, but cover fee is $ 20. If you have a party greater than 10 people who can drink then perhaps it would be better to consider ordering a table instead. There are 2 rooms, the bigger room was mainstream radio music with go go dancers. The other room was tiny to the right which was playing 80s party dance music. The elbow room to dance is good, so that you don’t feel like you’re packed like sardines. I think the mixing of the 80s music DJ was better than the mainstream room. In the larger dance area there are 4 go go dancers, I think 2 were pretty decent, but I’ve seen better go go dancers at other clubs such as Rubber or V2O. The parking structure is decent so you don’t have to park out on the streets. Coming all the way from SD, I don’t think I would return to this place casually if I had to pay a cover fee.

Def. not the greatest. Been once – enough to know I don’t need to come back. Despite friendly bouncers & staff, nothing memorable & nothing ab/it is ‘Vegas’ according to its namesake unless you count the dead air of vacant casinos. It was a Saturday night but place was rather scant. Need more warm bodies there. We made the most of it; then quickly jam to forget ab/the whole thing. Why it survived so long I have no idea.

This place is one of the few«clubs» in Orange County. Upon arriving to this place for my first time this weekend I was greeted by a very friendly valet host. He informed me 5.00 for valet or I can drive 100 yards up for free, so obviously I took the«if it’s free it’s for me!» approach. The doormen were all gentleman, polite, and answered my questions about the place. I was alerted there was a 20.00 cover for which I later did not pay as I met the door manager who I explained it was my first time here and I was in the club industry– bartending/management for some time and he brought me through without a cover. The staff is great here. The bartenders are nice too. Now to the bad, The club itself, nothing like vegas, no consistency whatsoever. As another reviewer posted, it DOES remind me of a roller rink turned club. I had the feeling I was in a dark basement in the«main room» and the other room was just a small space of asians doing ridiculous jumping kick moves that in no way, shape, or form resembled dancing lol. The music was ok. The crowd was at least 30% asian and 65% male. The girls that were there were cute though. The cover for the females should be lowered so more girls go here. I never heard of 20.00 cover for men AND ladies. Most of the people here looked to be in their early 20’s. Def. a young crowd, but if you are in college or a club enthusiast and want to go and get silly, check it out. Update— I think this place closed down. It’s actually horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

i don’t get why this place is called club vegas. this place was my first taste of the nightlife in socal. my cousin, who lives within the area, picked out the place. how was the first lick? ehh. tell me why it felt like i entered little saigon part 3? been to vietnam 4 times. relatives live around bolsa/magnolia.and now this. geez. there were just so many f’in asians. not much diversity, or at all. that was a real bummer. the guys weren’t cute. the girls tried to be cute. nobody really caught my attention with their dancing or what not. guys are so easily amused by the girls just simply shaking their asses slightly. jiggle jiggle and it’s like WOW! sad. i didn’t buy drinks at this place, cus i got drunk on the way there like a true no limit soljah. i dunno. haha. the place was roomy with two dance rooms: hiphop and house/trance. i had fun though with the people i was with and this place actually played a couple of bay area songs, which is a plus. i just felt kind of bad for this one annoying asian girl with the red thigh high boots. she was dancing with my cousin on the box and i gave my cousin the«disapproval» hand gesture while shaking my head, and the girl jumped off the box. also, i pointed at the girl when the part in mims said, «this is why i’m hot. this is why i’m hot. you ain’t cus you not.» i meant it. haha. oh well. socal girl: 0 bay area me: 1 would i come back here again? hmm, maybe on vietnamese new years or somethin.

First let me say that I would have done 2.5 stars, but I rounded up to be nice. So anyway, was on the 55 fwy, coming back from the beach on a Saturday Night and looking for a club to do some dancing and drinking, saw the sign and thought«hey, can’t hurt to try it out.» $ 20 cover for both girls and guys. I think there were only about 10 people that paid the cover, everyone else seemed to be in the guestlist line.(we got there about 10:45). Upon entering the one plus I did notice was that there were bars everywhere. There was a bar outside before you even go in. There was a large Circluar bar right when you walk it… and then the other room had a bar almost along the whole perimiter of the room. Ok.now to music: When you enter there is a circular bar and a small(I mean small) dance floor. They were playing 80’s music(which is all cool, that’s up my alley). They also had projection screens near the dance floor that had the videos up of whatever song it was. Now I wouldnt really call this guy a DJ because I swear he was just going in iTunes and picking songs. No clever transitions of anything, every tune was full length. Just felt like i was listening to my 80s playlist on my iPod. The second room was much larger. Upon entering there is a pool table(which i didn’t see anyone play, but there was a bouncer guarding it, along with velvet ropes all around it). The dance floor was way larger than the other one and lots of bars. You’ll never had to wait for an overpriced drink. Yes I said overpriced. Pretty much everything is $ 8, even beers. Anyway, this room actually had a DJ. But as one review earlier mentioned. DJ was not very good. Transitions were bad, tempo was not right. It was pretty weird. There were numberous times when pretty much everybody on the dance floor was like«huh, wait… i can’t find the beat.» Oh, and go go dancers. There were about 3 dancers who danced for a total of about maybe 30 minutes the whole night. Pretty damn lame. Now, onto the crowd. Crowd was very small. Very small. Mostly asians, and a little mixture of everything else. Well, needless to say, with a very sparse turnout and a crappy DJ, I never felt the vibe. Ended up leaving around 1AM. Oh.the restrooms. Not bad. But gotta say this. You know how most classy places have a guy/girl in the restroom with mints, perfume, gum, cologne, etc… Well this place had a guy with a jar full of those peppermint candies. THAT’S IT! I ain’t gonna tip that. Now, if it was like the dude at the El Rey in Hollywood who had a whole fricken candy and cologne store… maybe I would have tipped him. But seriously… a jar of peppermint candies… NOGUM! Lame. Overall, I would give this place a 2.5. Go out to hollywood or drive to vegas for a real club.

i went to club vegas because my friend said she heard it was the new hip club in orange county. well, all i have to say is that i left before midnight. i agree with the review that said it looked like an old roller rink. it did and although the restroom doors looked like they were stolen from circus circus, i didn’t see anything vegas-y about this place. i wouldn’t have minded the décor but the music was horrible! the dj was pretty bad at transitioning and the tempo was pretty off on some of the songs. i went with four other gals and we all agreed this was a one time visit. one of the security guys was really nice though and tried to inform us that fridays were better than saturdays but we told him we weren’t interested. it may be true that fridays are better but i’m not willing to find out.

This place is not as big I would imagine. There’s no back room poker tables like in that scene in «Ocean 11». The place is like a converted roller rink at daytime that change into a night club at night. The place does have a different section for different music. The big plus is that there is people you can order drinks to bring them over to your seats. I guess that establishment will pimp out the drinks regardless of indoor or outdoor. As the first poster pointed out was that there is $ 20 cover charge and and security will be there on the look out for trouble. That one thing I can give them kudos for was they will bounce out anyone will little of disturbance and have no problem doing it. Overreacting for some, but it’s safer than to be sorry later on. As in for the name, the theme is not Vegas or any gambling hinted. So the name might be a bit off.

This place might be called club Vegas, but Vegas it ain’t! I usually don’t party down in the OC, mainly because I believe clubbin’ is not that great down there… and this place proves it! On a good night maybe you’ll get a decent«crowd» but definitely not worth the $ 20 cover charge or the 10 – 12 bucks a shot. The music is a bit out-dated but on the upside they do have a second smaller dance floors that places different music than the main dance floor. The club is pretty darn big as club goes so that’s a plus. I guess I was just not impressed by this place. It might be a place you can check out if you live down in the OC and dont feel like driving up to Hollywood, but if you live on the westside or in the SGV, I’d say go for the sure thing, go to hollywood. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
