Rafael works very hard to get the job done and done right. My ’98 car is aging out, but still a good ride. Rafael worked with me to do what we could to pass smog. And while it required work, we took the steps needed, in the right order, and made it happen. Rafael is knowledgeable and honest. I’ll continue to bring our cars here!

I needed my battery replaced in my 2011 3 series. Not a cheap fix. I did obtain quotes in the area and he was the cheapest. Upon meeting him, he dropped everything to greet me. Very kind. He doesn’t keep specific batteries in stock, so he needed to order the battery and have it delivered. I was pressed for time, so he actually went to pick up the battery on his own, to save me time, since the delivery truck wasn’t arriving until much later. I really appreciated that. He worked only on my car, until it was complete. Great service, great pricing. I will definitely return. Thanks Rafael!

Great experience today with Hi-​Tek. Brought the car in for an overheating problem, turned out to be a busted water pump. Rafael took care of it right then for an incredibly reasonable price, and was very communicative about when it would be done. He listened to my concerns about the car and did not try to tack on additional charges or unnecessary fix-​ups.
Additionally, he pointed out an even more dangerous situation with my front tire, which very clearly was about to blow, and he directed me to a reputable and affordable tire place just around the corner.
I will definitely be a patron here again!

On relocating to California a couple years ago, I learned the state deems it necessary for a smog check before I could register my vehicle. Yay. Enter Rafael and Hi-​Tek. He quickly had my vehicle inspected and ready to go.
I’ve tried to support independent mechanics whenever possible, so decided to return here when my brakes needed to be replaced. And then they needed to be replaced again. And again. And then something else needed to be fixed. And then something else. I have spent entirely too much money at this place over the past few years, but, for the most part, I consider their service worth it to keep my vehicle up and running. Rafael also takes the time to explain repairs, recommendations, etc., inviting you to see the issues with your actual vehicle rather than simply taking his word for it.
There have been a few occasions that I wasn’t particularly pleased with the service 100%. The same service needing to be repeated entirely too soon. On multiple occasions. Because x or y wasn’t checked. Or the wrong part was used. Or whatever. My vehicle being kept days longer than advised necessary because of problems with parts or figuring out what was wrong. Despite my frustrations at times, I commend Rafael for going out of his way each and every time to do what he could to help me out whenever possible. (And thankfully those parts/​services were usually under warranty.)
Earlier this year (I think?), they hired a new guy who was entirely too damned chatty while I was waiting. I initially tried to be pleasant but he would not stop. Cease & desist already. I eventually walked outside to avoid him.
Otherwise, Rafael, Mike, and Rafael’s children have all been pleasurable during our business interactions. Overall, I am mostly satisfied with what they have been able to do to help service my vehicle over the years. I also greatly appreciate their willingness and flexibility to provide «same day» and/​or Saturday services for more routine services.

I came in to have my brake pads replaced.
I was very specific that I did not want hard, cheap pads because they are known to squeak. I told Raphael that I specifically want a soft, high quality brake pad. Now my brakes squeak every time I press on them.
When I called to ask why they used a cheaper quality pad, I was told «I don’t manufacture the pads» «this is what I use»
Now I am questioning every product they use to repair or maintain my car.
Very disappointing.

My family and i have always taken our cars to this place because they were always so honest and did the jobs right and fast for a fairly good price. Till one day the key switch on my car stop working and after a couple days and more than 1k spent it was fixed … or so we though fast forward maybe 7 months the car started having issues again with the key switch and it was progressively getting worse over the next year till one day it just didnt turn on at all, well my husband knows a guy and asks him to take a look at it, well the guy showed us the part it turns out the switch was never replaced and they just put a screw in it so that the key could turn but after it just gave it out and it just kept turning and the car would not turn on he said the screw does not belong there at all. WTH i trusted theses mechanics. Never again.

These guys have been my non-​dealer repair source for years. They are always friendly, fair and considerate. I feel like they do their best to take good care of whatever car I take in. Highly recommend them.

Rafael is a very knowledgable mechanic. I’ve been coming to this shop for a little over 4 years– I wish I had known Rafael sooner!. He breaks down all information so you understand, You almost feel like your going to school! His shop service is fast and prices are fair. All staff is friendly as well.

From an insider’s point of view (wife of mechanic with Hi-​Tek), Rafael is one of the «good one’s»!! Even as an employer, he gives his workers COMPLETE autonomy and TRUST in their abilities. His shop rivals that of car dealership his service and pricing are the best! I challenge anyone in need of serious repair to compare their pricing with other auto services.

I’m taking time on my vacation to write this review as the service I received at Leon’s was that good.
Leon’s was a great place to replace the transmission I had on my 2003 Honda Odyssey. The new Manager, Brent, was friendly, personable and really listened to my issue. He quickly disgnosed the problem, took care of it, kept me updated on their progress, and provided me with excellent customer service.
I would highly recommend this Leon’s location to anyone. Brent is wonderful.

Rafael and his staff are awesome! It is difficult to find a trustworthy and capable mechanic, anywhere, but my boyfriend had a business connection with Rafael several years back and, subsequently, recommended his business to me.
He and his staff are honest and trustworthy and encourage you to do your own research when it comes to labor and parts estimates with repair estimate sites online, which I appreciate. He is very open and communicative. I like the fact that he holds himself accountable!
I don’t get a creepy feel from his staff and no one leers or patronizes, a plus!
