This place is ok. Seems like a hole-in-a-very-expensive-wall mom and pop shop. The food was decent. Nothing I can’t make at home with little effort. The thing that turned me off was the owner. He looked like I just stole from him or something. No hello, smile, «have a nice day» or nothing. At least the hospital says hi before they give you colonoscopy. Although it’s right next to work, at this point, I rather drive to nates for a better dining experience and quality food.

A serviceable stop for those who work in the building and can’t get off campus. They serve mostly sandwiches, burgers, and salads, with some daily specials sprinkled in. Breakfast too, judging by the smell of grilled onions and garlic wafting through the elevators in the morning, but the window for breakfast is very short. And they close kinda early for lunch too. Service is fair. The guy is kinda surly, but the woman is upbeat, so they cancel each other out. While nothing stands out, you can get a fast meal in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, without having to drive out and pick something up. If you’re short on time, it’ll do the job.

Not worth it. The salad bar was blasé and they added fresh lettuce after I started my salad(during lunch hour). First and last visit.

I only go here because I work in the building. I only go for the salad bar. The grill items I’ve had have not been good.

I can understand why there are some people who get upset at this place. Yes the older gentleman is gruff, and there is a fee for using CC, but some nail salons and other establishments charge for using CC too. However they have their positive points– The older female is the nicest person on the face of the earth. She is always smiling and just a little ray of sunshine. I have had the chicken curry– it’s ok, the chicken is a bit dry. The salads are my go to and the Bi-BimBap was good. I’m here literally everyday because I don’t want to pack lunch and I don’t want to eat in the break room. The convenience is worth for me to pay a service fee when I don’t have cash. I’m happy with what I get here– fast salads :)

Those with a bad review are correct. The Korean owner is rude and in the beginning I was never told of the CC charge til I saw my receipt. The only reason this place stays open is the location and the salad bar. Food is mediocre so don’t bother giving this jerk any of your money.

I like this place because it’s convenient. I work in the building next to it. The food is mediocre. The owner will nickel and dime you. He can also be quite rude. I don’t mind paying the $.50 for using my card, but can I get a smile with my order, please?

I won’t come back. The Korean guy who runs this place is rude as all hell and charges $ 0.50 to use a credit card. Not only that the first couple of times I tried to eat here I came around 2:00 or 2:30 and they were already closed even though it says they are open until 3:00pm? So, my first experience here I was standing at the counter deciding what to order and he comes racing over behind the counter and says«you pay now». I thought I was watching Seinfeld. You can’t make this stuff up. I said, «pay for what?». He said, «you pay now.» How awkward, didn’t even know what to say so I ended up ignoring the old geyser. Given he’s trying to incentivize cash sales I would bet money he doesn’t report all his sales as taxable income and I don’t see any signage that the county health inspector has approved the food prep. I’d rather light a $ 10 bill on fire and go hungry than give it to this guy to stay in business.

Metro café is a place where dreams come to die and nightmares are born. A world where you can only get a hot sandwich between the hours of 11:31AM and 1:59PM. A world avoid of French Fries and mayonnaise. Long rein the soggy pickle, recycled soup, and debit card fees!

I like Metro Café for the different variety of food that they serve. I typically get their special, if not a chicken burger w/fries or the California Sandwich. They also have a nice salad bar. However, there have been a couple of occasions when they neglect to refill the vegetables for the salad. NOTE: The grill closes at 2pm. Which means no burgers and no other grilled foods. The Café itself closes at 3pm. Daily Specials: Monday: Chicken Torta Tuesday: Penne Pasta w/Chicken Wednesday: Chicken Tacos Thursday: Korean BBQ — Bim Bim Bop Friday: Pesto Chicken Sandwich Their food is diverse, but there is nothing special about the taste. Also, they charge you $.50 to use your ATM card for charges under $ 20. I’m a person who hates to carry cash, so everytime I come here, I get that extra charge!

They’ve got the usual café suspects– sandwiches, salads, and wraps(oh my!). But they also have a nice salad bar, some quick breakfast items and different daily specials during the week that are not on the regular menu such as tacos, pasta, etc. It’s actually a 3 star place but the lady(who’s the owner) is very nice and sweet, so she herself deserves a star for always bringing a smile to my face whenever I go. =)

I like this its by my work, has a clean salad bar. The tuna is really good, the seafood salads a bit dry but I still liked it. In all the salad bar was very clean and fresh. The price was a affordable and they weigh your salad like the yogurt places do there thing. 5 something for a pound. Next time I will try the sandwich.

This place is right next door to 24 hour fitness and makes for a great alternative to Quiznos. I debated between 3 stars or 4, but decided that a diner, no matter how good it is, is still a diner. Who would take me serious(as a food connoisseur) if I rated a diner with 4 stars. But what sets this place apart is that they have sprouts that they always put on my turkey sandwich. Yes I am simple to please and I will take sprouts over lettuce 8 days a week. The only thing that annoys me about this place is that they charge a $ 0.75 fee to use your ATM card. Is that legal?
