We ran this station as a part-​time enterprise until June of 2013 when we turned this into a full time business and began broadcasting out of our new, state-​of-​the-​art «professional podcast studio» right here in Orange County (in the TechSpace center right across from South Coast Plaza).

Having worked in «real radio» (or «terrestrial radio» as it’s now known) back in the 80s, I was amazed at both the rapid decline of traditional radio and its rebirth as an exploding new internet medium. It’s audio over the Internet (and the smart phones that keep us constantly connected… even in our cars) rather than audio over the public airwaves. And it’s growth has been phenomenal.

This old medium has found new life through Pandora and iHeart and SiriusXM along with all sorts of experimental, community based models like ours. Stations where the audio content doesn’t instantly disappear into the ethernet once its played but lives forever thru the magic of the Internet, on our site, each host’s site, each guest’s site and countless «podcast aggregators» like iTunes, Stiitcher and Podbean.

So listen live or listen later. Be a guest, be a host, become a listener. But don’t miss the revolution.
