Our scientific approach and almost obsessive passion for waxing is our entire reason for existing. We use only the finest hypoallergenic waxes and follow stringent guidelines that ensure client safety, cleanliness and comfort.

We are an appointment only waxing salon so that each of our licensed Waxologists can offer their client the attention and privacy they deserve and desire during their waxing experience.

History

Established in 2008.

OC Waxing started in 2008 when Founder and Licensed Aesthetician, Carolyn Staples noticed that Orange County was in dire need of a sanitary, upscale, comfortable salon that specializes in waxing. Her goal was to create a salon that provided waxing as the TOP service, and to offer in depth education about hair growth and hair removal. OC Waxing will always strive to be a sanitary and comfortable place to wax.

Located in Costa Mesa, Laguna Niguel, and Mission Viejo, we are growing fast and each and every one of us here LOVES waxing and we are committed to giving you the best waxing possible!

My goal has always been to provide a professional, comfortable, and sanitary waxing environment for the men and women of Orange County. Jasmine has moved to the new Yorba Linda location so I have been going to Colleen and she is amazing. My brows are always on point and I just absolutely love her. I definitely recommend visiting her you will not leave disappointed.

My first Brazilian Wax!!! I was super nervous to say the least. I considered going to either the salon where I get my nails done or where I get my eye brows threaded. I am so happy I considered looking for a place that specializes in waxing! I 100% would of not made it through if it wasn’t for COLLEEN! She was amazing and made me feel comfortable and informed through every step. I couldn’t of asked for a better experience. Now knowing the difference in wax and product they use I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I will be back!

This place is legit, I’ve tried few different spots and never had an experience like this. I went to the Costa Mesa location But have heard mission Viejo is good too. I would recommend to all my friends. This is my new spot.

Only have gotten my eyebrows waxed one other time. Came in here with an open mind as my eyebrows were getting a little crazy. Was greeted by a really nice girl who offered water or tea while I waited. Then, I met Kalyn who really got me to go on Unilocal and give this place 5 stars. She was extremely personable and I had a great time chatting with her. She took interest in my studies and we even had some laughs about Donald Trump. She did an excellent job with my eyebrows and I am pleased to say I will be back.

From start to finish my experience was amazing. It had been years since I had been waxed and finding a new place is always hard. I found them on Unilocal and from the minute I scheduled the appointment I was treated professionally and courteously.
The front desk staff was friendly and made the new client process smooth and quick so I could get back to my appointment.
Colleen was fantastic! She is super passionate about what she does and takes the time to educate her clients and is sooo thorough which I appreciate! If you’re looking for a quick in and out in 10 minutes kind of experience I would go elsewhere, but you get what you pay for. She explained the different types of wax, after care and upkeep, and when to ideally return and why. She got every possible hair and I appreciate the attention to detail because I’m not paying good money to have to shave later!
Colleen was friendly and put me at ease the whole time!
So happy I found this gem! I found my new waxing place and esthetician! Thanks Unilocal

First Timer!!! Love this place and Alida is so amazing!!! She made me feel SO comfortable and explained everything step by step. She really showed that she cared about her clients. I got the best Playboy waxing ever… I would give her a 10 but Unilocal only goes to 5. She also took the time to go over my eyebrows. Thanks a million. Can’t wait to get my eyelashes tinted next time.
The place is very nice and very clean inside. Hands down if you are looking for a new waxing place. Look no more as I found the place for you.

Alida is a gem! This was my first time ever getting waxed and she made me feel as if I were a pro. The room was very clean and Alida explained everything step by step, including the products she was using and what they were made with/​etc. There was never an uncomfortable silence and she was good at getting to know me (vice versa) and creating a relaxing atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming!

I reviewed the Mission Viejo location a while ago but switched to the Costa Mesa location out of convenience due to it being closer to home.
Here’s the deal… If you’re on Unilocal looking for waxing it’s been made abundantly clear to you that this place (and their other locations) have the best reviews. You may be thinking «This is rigged! or «They’re paying for these reviews!» Well, rest assured — THEYRE NOT. This place is STELLAR.
Kaylin is the best and apparently she’s booking up like crazy. What I SHOULD be telling you is to book with soemone else so she’s always got time for me. But no, I’m an honest woman. Book an appt with her. You’ll be laughing your ass off and having such a great time that people will think you’re crazy when you tell them that you are excited for your next appointment to get the hairs ripped out of your coochy-​pop.
They use Hard Wax — super awesome. Traditional wax sticks to your hair and your skin and when it’s pulled off it yanks at your skin. Hard wax doesnt do that. The pain is significantly less. Your mind will be blown and your kitty will thank you.
Stop searching. This is your place. Do yourself a favor. Make an appointment.

I have done both waxing and threading. I definitely prefer waxing as long as it’s at OC Waxing. Sarah B. has done my facial waxing and it’s always been amazing! She is the sweetest thing, always takes good care of me, and teaches me about new regiments for my face. The whole staff at OC Waxing was great, only waited a minute for my appointment, and was treated with hot tea and snacks… Yummm!

I recently started waxing again. I called and made an appointment with Erin. She’s
AH-​MA-​HAZING! Erin is very professional, through oh, knowledgeable, and has a great personality while she’s doing my Brazilian and underarm wax. I know that having a Brazilian can have you feeling exposed, vulnerable, and maybe a little embarrassed but Erin is so sweet and professional. I finally found my «waxologist»!!

I bought a groupon for a Brazilian wax after reading great reviews forMy appointment was awesome. She was ready as soon as I walked in, the standard new client paperwork was quick and off we went. She was remarkable at making me feel comfortable and at ease and did a fantastic job with my wax. They use all hard wax which was new for me as I’m used to that only being on the very «sensitive» inner areas… I will definitely recommend OC wax and especially Erin to my friends (already have!) and will be back for my next one when its time.
Oh! They give you a cute little gift bag at the end with some products and instructions, that’s a first for me! Great work!

I had an absolutely horrid experience at another salon and had almost sworn off waxing. I decided to give somewhere else a try and booked an appointment for a Brazilian with Kalyn at OC Waxing while in town visiting my parents.
The room was very neat and Kalyn explained every step of the process and never double dipped the stick. I discovered my problem was the wax the other salon used. Kalyn used hard wax, which is so much gentler.
Whenever I am visiting my parents I always see Kalyn for a Brazilian. She is quick and efficient and the appointment feels more like a chat with a girlfriend than just someone ripping the hair off a sensitive body part.

Just had my first wax ever with Erin, and she is awesome! I was super nervous from all the horror stories of getting waxes down there from friends of mine who’ve gotten them done, and I will tell you now that it really wasn’t that bad. I was extremely surprised, but I also don’t know my own tolerance for pain haha.
Erin made me feel so comfortable and educated me on the different kinds of waxes and the product they use. They use a hard wax that comes off itself instead of using a paper to pull.
I will definitely come back! Everyone here was truly so friendly, and I have a feeling the wax they use here is much more painless than your average wax.

Just had my VERY 1st Brazilian wax done by Erin and it was awesome. So not as scary or painful as I thought it would be. For you first timers… here’s a bit of info about this place to encourage you to try it out:
1. Extremely nice staff. They make you feel comfortable and not embarrassed about baring it all.
2. The wax used is hypoallergenic. I have REALLY sensitive skin and I had no irritation or anything.
3. The store itself is very clean and modern. No double dipping or any of the scary stuff you have to worry about at a nail salon.
4. You don’t have to get on all 4s here for the booty portion. Just knees to your chest and it’s over!
5. The pain is not what they make it out to be on TV or movies. Yes, it hurts a bit but it’s more like a sting for about 5 seconds and it goes away. Plus they distract you by chatting and help you with a breathing exercise to distract you.
Seriously…if you are thinking about getting this done — GO HERE!

I had been going to the Mission Viejo location for about a year but my waxer left. Because I live in LBC, I decided to try this location since it’s closer to where I live now.
As with MV, my experience here was top notch. I have absolutely no complaints with this location. It’s a bit smaller & the parking is a bit more limited, but whatever. I don’t care. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful. They are also so professional with the whole process.
My appointment was with Kalyn who did an excellent job at keeping the atmosphere relaxed yet professional. I couldn’t ask for more. She did a very thorough job, making sure everything was removed. And she did it much faster than I expected! And to top it all off, it didn’t hurt at all!
While I’ll miss my previous waxer, I’m glad I got to work with Kalyn and I will definitely be back!

I recently moved to Costa Mesa and was apprehensive about finding a new waxer for «down there». I mean, I don’t just let any rand-​o get up close and personal with my lady bits, ya know?
Instead of returning to my European Wax Center roots, I did a little Unilocal research and swayed by five star reviews and a Unilocal deal for new customers, I booked a Brazilian with Kayln.
SO glad I did. I will be removing a star from my previous EWC review when I’m done here. Kayln made me realize what a sub-​par experience that company provides in comparison.
Instead of a cattle-​call style 10 minute appointment in a blindingly bright room (speed and detail rarely go hand-​in-​hand) like at EWC, OC Waxing feels more like a spa. Dim room, nicely sheeted table.
Kayln explained that for first time clients the appointment would be approximately 40 minutes. That was a surprise since it’s such a wam-bam-thank-you-ma’am experience at European Wax (apparently they’re only alotted 10 minutes per client and get in trouble if it takes longer).
OCW should probably advise new clients of the appointment length because if I had expected it to be a lunch break trip I would have been out of luck. That wasn’t the case, however, so I relaxed and let Kayln work her magic.
First let me say, she immediately made me feel at ease, kept me in the loop the entire time and was incredibly thorough.
It also hurt less than EWC and I’m thinking it’s because they’re using smaller strips of wax on smaller sections since they’re taking their time. Awesome.
I can’t recommend this place enough and immediately booked my four week return appointment with Kayln. Really great Unilocal find!
