Dr. David Karaba has been a tremendous blessing to our family. My daughter had SEVERE eczema all over her body by the time she was 7 years old. She couldn’t sleep at night she was in terrible discomfort. She wore long pants and long sleeves to school every day even on the hottest Southern California days. We visited MANY pediatricians and dermatologists who only prescribed stronger and stronger steroid medications and said she had to live with it there was no cure. We felt hopeless. Then a classmate’s mom referred me to Dr. Karaba and said «I wish you would give him a try… he is different I can’t explain it». Well that was for sure! Dr. Karaba is a Functional Medicine doctor (C.A.O.M.D.) as opposed to traditional allopathic M.D. He approaches disease looking at the body as a whole like a detective. At our first visit, he suggested our daughter may actually have food allergies from an autoimmune condition caused by inflammation in the small intestine of her gut. The inflammation in the gut was likely causing her body to attack itself. Now with that information (never once mentioned to us by the previous allopathic doctors we saw) we finally had something we could do. Under his guidance we changed her diet to try to calm and heal her gut lining (basically eliminated inflammatory foods like sugar/​grains) and there was immediate relief. Wow! He then identified and treated her food allergies using the NAET allergy protocol. One by one we could add back foods she had previously been allergic to. He also found and dealt with an emotional trauma from when a lamp fell on her head and resulted in an emergency room visit the prior year. I had no idea about these things! Dr. Karaba is an extremely thoughtful, intelligent practitioner who cares about his patients. He is a jewel in So. Cal. We are currently in the process of reestablishing our daughters gut micro-​biome thru fermented foods and probiotics. Her eczema has reduced all the way down to mainly her ankles now. Thanks to Dr. Karaba, we are on an amazing journey and our entire family has benefited by the changes we made. Thank you Dr. Karaba!!!

Dr. Karaba is a miracle worker. He cares about his patients. My initial meeting with him lasted over 2 hours! He really wanted to understand me and the true cause of my pain. After my first session I really felt great.

Dr. Karaba is excellent. He is very caring and over the past two years has helped every member of my family. My husband and I believe he is a miracle worker. Our daughter was born with a condition called FPIES. When she ate dairy or soy she would throw up until she went into shock 2 and half hours after ingestion. Dr. David Karaba is a miracle worker. He literally turned my son’s life around.
