We specialize in custom built furnishings, re-​upholstery, slipcovers, accessories, beds and bedding. We work closely with the design trade, and the general public as well. I (Don Pearce, the owner) have almost 38 years in the business. I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. I was trained by old world craftsmen (literally).

History

Established in 2000.

I had worked for many of the large Upholstery companies in Orange County, when I finally decided that I could add something to the industry by opening my own establishment. In the last 13 years, we have had our ups and downs like everyone else in this industry, but I would like to think that the quality of our product and service helped keep us in the game. We have been featured in Orange Coast Magazine, Luxury living in Orange County, and even made the cover of Traditional Home in July of 2010.

Business Owner

I began in 1978 by working in a furniture factory in Yakima Washington. I wanted to learn more, but they weren’t interested in teaching my anything accept how to do the one job. In the industry, it’s called being a rag stretcher. After a few years there, I wend to work for a little German man. At first, I couldn’t do anything to his satisfaction. after a few years, he pronounced my work «Passable» high praise from George Stufflel. I worked for him four years, then I went to work for an auto upholstery shop. About that time, I moved back to my home town in Oregon, but soon found that there was little work to be had there, so I moved to Southern CA. then to Tulsa OK for 2 years, then back to Southern CA. I was the shop foreman for A&B Upholstery for 8 years under Al Church.
