A list of things I was curious to know/wish to have known before going to the warehouse sale: — There is a parking lot with space for 10ish cars. Park along the street before reaching the warehouse. You are not allowed to park in the cul-de-sac. — You’re not allowed to bring bags in with you, but they offer to hold it for you at the entrance. — They sell a limited amount of ‘fast pass’ type things which allows you and your plus one to get to the front of the line for $ 25. They sell these online by hour blocks. People were also purchasing them the day of if any slots were still available. My boyfriend and I did not purchase these, but it’s worth considering! I’ll probably purchase it if I ever plan to go again. — Unlike other warehouse/sample sales, the pricing they provide on their price sheets are not exact(sometimes not very accurate). Some items end up costing more than others even though they may be same type of garment. It was kind of a mess – and annoying once you are checking out because you’re too exhausted to do anything about it. — You cannot try on anything when you are inside so be sure you know your sizing with rvca items. I was hesitant to go after reading some of the reviews below and other reviews I found elsewhere on the internet. However, our large haul of items at the end of our visit made the 2.5 hours of waiting in line worth it. Bring some form of entertainment for your wait, it’ll help pass the time!

the RVCA sample sales used to be legendary. you go the day or two before the advertised date(so let’s say it starts Friday, go check it out Wednesday, it’s going on) and you’d get the pick of the litter so to speak. I used to walk outta there with $ 300 of clothes, pretty much to last me the year. but then I don’t know what happened. everyone found out about it. more people would cut the line than were in the line(hey, it’s cool you know someone that works there, but uhhh it’s not cool to show off) but worst of all, the quality went down. seems like rvca used to only use premium cottons or tri-blends(like 90% of their stuff was super soft) but in the last couple years the quality’s dropped off and their designs are plain old logos. what happened to the kelsey brooks tiger?! that was one of the coolest t-shirts ever. rvca, go back to what you used to do. soft, comfortable clothing coupled with cool designs and art. that was what made you stand apart from the billabongs, quicksilvers and o’neills of the world.

I waited in line for two hours for the sample sale here a couple weeks back. I ended up with two shirts and a headache! To be honest, I should have known that they wouldn’t have had much for girls, but I still waited, against my better judgment. There was a TON of stuff for guys, but most of the girls stuff consisted of screen tees, which are so 7th grade, so I grabbed some basic knits at not-that-much-lower-than-department-store prices, and high-tailed it out of there. It was worth the experience.

Me Unilocaling about RVCA is worse than taking a Victoria Secret model to a frat house party. You can figure out why. Their sample sales are awesome for one primary reason. Their tshirts. Oh my lord, their tshirts. Wearing one feels like there’s a naked brazilian model spooning you. The cotton is so soft and broken in. The snug fit contours to every curve of my beer gut. Putting one on makes you feel like a baller so you can finally pass on getting«PIMP» or «Playa» tattooed on your arm. I refuse to pay $ 20 – 30 for a tshirt in department stores so I wait for their sample sale. As a clueless geezer, my casual fashion sense is derived from a lot of OC boys and wannabe surfers/skaters/etc that wear RVCA, the pinnacle of OC boy clothing. Artists that are either extremely talented or trendiferous are sponsored by RVCA so the prints and designs are not consistently pleasing to the eye. As a result, you’ll either love or hate the clothing. But who cares, it’s all about how their tshirts feel on me. Helloooooo, Gisele Bundchen… spoon me!
