Saves The Day Dermatology

This review is based on my experience in 2014, forgot to write the review then. His admin staff is a 1-​star, he’s a 5-​star, I’ll split the difference on their star rating.
The one time I got to see him, he was a great doctor. Unfortunately, his admin staff was incompetent. Three separate occasions i was scheduled to come in and the Dr was in a different office that day. The first time supposedly it was not a last minute thing, I was just scheduled incorrectly. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and assumed it was a one time mistake. Since I lived close it wasn’t horribly inconvenient, although I missed 2 hours of work in the morning to be there.
The next visit I got to see him and he was great. I shared with him my daily habits, and preferences on topical treatments and he was able to recommend some options previous dermatologists.
Unfortunately the next 2 visits I couldn’t see him because I was scheduled incorrectly again. I can’t keep gambling with my time to come here. I’m on the lookout for a good dermatologist who can also hire competent administrative staff.
I hope it has improved since my last visit, but I’m not risking it again.

What you get from this Doctor is perfect bedside manner. He takes an absolute interest in your personal situation. He is not there looking at the clock rushing you out the door. He truly cares about you as a patient and a person. He spent hours with me all total. A good portion of that time was spent while he LISTENED! My next visit he remembered what we talked about and asked me questions pertaining to my own personal situation that were not medically related. He listens!
He calls you back personally, the same day, to answer your questions. I dont know about you guys but i have never heard back from a Doctor personally. I have found that it is usually his staff that calls you back. This proves all by itself how false some of the narratives are here that claim he is so bad. When i first started seeing him i was calling him 2 – 3 times a week. i was really upset and scared and didnt know what i was dealing with. He took the time to go over all my concerns. This of course was on his time. He wasnt charging me for 3 additional office visits even though some of these conversations lasted 30 minutes. I mean i have never heard of such a great Doctor before.
This doctor is helping me with again, a CHRONIC life long illness. I have had many opportunities to go elsewhere and i would not only go out of my way to see this Doctor but if my insurance werent covered by him i would pay cash. As a matter of fact i have paid cash initially because i didnt have insurance. Now that i have insurance i made sure that he was covered. I based my entire healthcare on what he was able to take. He is that wonderful.
His staff are friendly and professional.
I am not a rich man and he goes out of his way to help me save money. This Doctor deserves an award for how well he treats his patients. I went in there once feeling suicidal almost. Not like i was really contemplating it but just feeling hopeless and defeated. My whole life seemed to have changed overnight. I left his office INSPIRED and happy! He sensed my anguish and told talked me through it. He has a back ground in psychology as well. I will never forget how much better he made me feel just by listening and talking me through my issues.
I Cant say enough good things about this Doctor! I am so shocked that some folks have the nerve to write such bad things about him because I have been seeing him for over two years for chronic severe inverse psoriasis. I can tell you that he is amazing. I dont know where to start in conveying how wonderful he is. I want to address the folks that say such awful things about him. I really dont understand where you get off. I find it hard to believe that he did anything that warrants such attacks. If he were such a terrible monster then he would have been reported and sanctioned and his license would be in jeopardy. None of which has happened since this all public information. This is not a burger king where you get it your way. Doctors practice medicine and are not perfect. I even read one post where they complained about the décor. Are you serious? Are you there to take in the wall art or to get your ailments fixed? I am just furious at the ignorant gall of some people.

Dr. S is just the best! I went to check out some skin concerns. I was so worried but he was so professional, very kind, and listen to me. It turns out that I had a boil and he cleaned it and literally SAVED MY DAY! Can’t say more, I would totally recommend Dr. S!

Dr. Sayfzadeh has helped me with a variety of procedures during the past few years. Every time I have been very satisfied with his work. What I really appreciate is his vast knowledge related to his practice. He explains things in detail and a way I can understand it. I trust him and would return again.

He is truly the best Doctor for any skin related problems. There are not a lot of Real Medical Dermatologist around to handle skin cancer and excessive sun exposure issues. He is the BEST.

Please do not listen to the positive reviews! This place is a joke and the people here have no idea what they are doing, including the Dr. I hate to speak bad about someone but it was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. If You care about your health — Absolutely do not go to this place! Like I said before this place is a joke! I am shocked that they are even still a functioning business! STAY AWAY!!! I went to this place 6 months ago and still feel the way I do — unbelievable!
Absolute worst place in Costa Mesa, if not OC!

By far best doctor I have ever seen. He takes your call immediately or calls you back same day. Tries to save you money on scripts. No waiting when scheduled. He cares about YOU! Do not see another derm. He is so awesome words cannot describe.-Andrew C

Very bad customer service, I called and talked to a very rude front desk girl who seemed annoyed to help me out and then she did not seem to know what insurance they take until I told her I have Anthem Bluecross and then she said NO. we don’t take that you will have to try somewhere else. and then she hangs up. I felt like I was wasting her time by how she spoke to me the whole time, when in reality she was wasting mine.

Went there like 5 months back nice doctor.. I just didn’t like the fact that I spent over 400 dollars in one day. 90 on the vist 90+ for one medication and 200+ for another. He said use daily and the problem should be gone within in 3 to 4 months. did what I needed to do and still no results.. Well there goes 400 down the drain..

I really can’t put into words what this DR has done for me. I’ll start by saying that after two years of non stop breakouts they’re gone. On top of helping me out he takes the time to call me back whenever I have a question! He never fails! I always hear back from him, he is what EVERY Dr. SHOULD BE! thank you!!! I’m in Vegas working and he still helps me out when I have questions from all the way out here! Thank you, and a huge thank you to your helpful staff who always asks what they can do to help and make sure you get my messages and call me back! Huge hugs for all of u!

When I called in to confirm that the office accepted my insurance the person on the phone was not friendly at all especially me being a new patient. I confirmed that they did in fact take my insurance and made an appointment. After taking off from work for my appointment, I also called my insurance company to confirm they are in my network. Both the office and my insurance told me they accepted my insurance. When I arrived at the office (after driving 40 minutes out of my way) I was less then pleased. The office is old and not very «Beverly Hills» like. I expected to have to fill out paperwork being a new patient. The front desk person (again not friendly at all) only had me write down my address on a post it note, not very professional. I was then told that the did not accept my insurance even after the office directly told me that they did. I took off from work for this appointment and drove 40 minutes out of my way. I was extremely upset. HORRIBLE!

My first review ever. Dr. saves the day helped me with my skin conditions and prescribed some medication that helped with my psoriasis. He was thorough and very knowledgable. He also spent time with me and gave me advice on how to save money because I didn’t have health insurance.
I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist.

Part 1–
Had my first visit to Saves The Day Dermatology. I have had sort of a stubborn lingering issue that my first dermatologist just wasn’t able to figure out. After reading Unilocal reviews I decided to give Dr. S a shot.
Long story short, I’m very happy with the experience. Dr S is not like other Dermo’s i’ve seen in the past. He didn’t make me wait an hour, he welcomed me back to the room personally and he really took his time an listened to what I had to say.
I think what impressed me most though was that Dr S really gives you detailed information about the science behind what’s going on. He doesn’t just talk in Dr speak, it was almost like he was a college professor and you were his student.
At any rate, don’t go to Dr S expecting Beverly Hills style dermatology. It’s a small modest office and Dr S is a normal, but extreme knowledgeable Dr. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Dermo.

Great staff, friendly.
Dr. is very knowledgeable and patient. He can fix the problem efficiently and effectively.
The only downside is that the office is not very neat especially the restroom. It is important to have a clean appearance for a clinic restroom. Need improvement.
Overall it is a great derm clinic. Strongly recommended.

Front desk: took a minute to warm up but ended up being very friendly
Dr: very friendly, competent, he was thorough and I felt little to no pain with a wart removal and cyst removal and skin tag removal.
Nurse: friendly and competent
Overall: I will definitely be going back as I need derm care. I have already made my husband an appointment for a long overdur check up.

This place is GREAT!
I went in with a bump on my neck. The doctor cut it off and out and sent it off to the lab. I was in and out in about an hour. The staff was great and again the doctor was great.

Dr Seyfzadeh is just so amazing. I went to him because i had some issues and I couldn’t have found a better doctor than him. He is really honest, intelligent and caring and gives you the best possible solution for any problems you may have. I know that i can trust his expert opinion and he always makes you feel comfortable.
If you need a derm def give him a try, you wont regret it!

Dr. Seyfzadeh, pronounced Saves the Day, is AMAZING! First off, his name itself says it all. If you have any skin related issues, look no further. Dr. Saves is the BEST. He not only listen to your daily skin routine, but also ask probing questions because he really wants to know the root cause of your concerns. Whether it’s stress, hormonal, or product driven, he will make your skin gorgeous if you listen to exactly what he says and follow his instructions. Overall, he makes the best recommendations and tells you what make-​up brand and medicine to use and why. I have recommended my entire family and all my friends to see him. HIS face mask are to die for, which I use every week and gosh darn my face is so happy we met Dr! He is patient and really thorough when he goes over your analysis.
By far the most honest and caring Dr I have ever met. I will continue to recommend him for as long as I can.

This place is great because:
1)The Dr. Talks to you regarding your skin issue
2)Possible treatment options
3)Healing scars associated with each option
And…Post importantly —-he then discusses medically why each option is not his recommendation… He’s working the problem out it in front of you, which is Awesome!
E.x. It’s like a Med student explaining what they observe and what the logic is behind their course of treatment to the Dr.
Cons– If it matters? office is not as clean as HOAG hospital but It’s sanitary.
