Team OC

We came from another gym and my daughter didn’t miss a beat by coming to this place. The coaches are great and range from causal to serious gymnasts. The front office ladies were fantastic and made the transition smooth by allowing many changes and additions while we found just the right class.
We loved how Each coach took their time to evaluate my 8 year old daughter until we knew what was the right fit.
Prices are competitive and class variety is great.
Seating for the parents is cushioned and they have vending machines to satisfy your cravings. (Starbucks is down the street also)

I can only base my review on Sara and her ballet and tap class for 3 years old and under. She is a wonderful instructor, patient, and skills oriented but fun, you can see the girls all smiling and having a great time. And she uses different props.

If you can get past the sticker shock, they are hands down the best gymnastic center for O.C. I have four kids, two who go here. On the Artistic side, coast Gishi, E.J., Summer & Shayna have lead my daughter to win metals, build confidence and muscle. I am proud of what she has achieved thanks to them.
My son takes TNT (Trampoline) and has be fortunate to be under the guidance of coach Stephanie and coach Danita. Through hard work and practice made nationals and ranked 5^th for his group, and 1^st in regionals. The coaches are very motivational and really tone up the kids and keep them disciplined and focused.
Let me say that without a doubt they are life changing! My kids do better in school have direction in life and stand proud.
My other kids are looking to attend when an opening becomes available.
They also have chair leading and dance… while fun to watch, none of my kids are in these, but look like lots of fun. The place is huge and is the Disneyland of gyms.
Btw: Did I mention how awesome the coaches are?

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Team OC!!! Our two year old daughter absolutely LOVES everything about it! She is in the Preschool Parent and Me Class and the Preschool Ballet/​Tap Class and has so much fun in both! We just love all of the staff! They are professional, responsible, caring and seem to love working at Team OC. Coach Sarah, Coach Lauren and Miss Tina are the BEST! And the ladies at the front desk are so sweet, professional and know us by name! Thank you Ashley, Tricia and Erika! The facility is immaculate and well maintained. We can’t say enough wonderful things about our entire experience at Team OC! Thank you Team OC!!!

Professional coaching staff, amazing with all ages and they care. Our experience has exceeded our expectations. After a bad introduction to Gymnastics at another place, Team OC has restored my faith in quality coaching and best of all my daughter has a blast!

My daughter is currently enrolled in Hip Hop and Ballet! She loves it and so do I. The gym is very spacious and the front desk people are very friendly. I did wish they offer a better discount for kids who want to take more classes

My daughter has been dancing here at Team OC for 3 years and is a charter member of the new Orange County Academy of Dance. Her dance technique has improved by leaps and bounds! Her dance instructors are of the highest caliber and truly have the best interest of the students at heart. The recital they put together last year was spectacular and all shows were sell outs! Now it’s competition season and we are ready with all new numbers! Thanks to all the teachers and staff of Team OC for making my daughter’s dream of dancing become a reality!

Well we toughed it out for two years but things only got worst, not better.
The good: the dance facilities are excellent. I cannot find another facility as spacious, clean and bright as this one. There is ample parking, though on crowded days it could be a bit of a walk. Because the facility is large, you’ll have flexibility in class schedule.
The bad: management is awful. The front desk staff was often surly. The recital was always a disaster. The first year they ordered nearly the entire class’s costume in the wrong size (1 or 2 girls had the right size). The second year was even worst. They downsized the venue for the recital to the point that many, many parents could not get tickets. Some of the luckier ones got 1 or 2 tickets. Apparently the school meant to only well 4 tickets a family, but they didn’t announce a ticket cap. Many families bought 6 (common sense, mom, dad, 4 grandparents), hence why they sold out very quickly. They’re awful at relaying information so many people missed picture day or didn’t even know tickets had gone on sale and subsequently sold out. Our first teacher was amazing, but she left before the first recital. Every teacher since then just phoned it in. Our daughter danced better at 3 than she did at 4. She’s better now that she’s at a different school.
If the school would just put better management in place, I would continue to drive the extra few miles. I love the facility, but the staff’s attitude, the managements poor management skills and the disaster that was always the recital drove me to find another school.

This facility is extremely clean and organized. They have the best equipment and pricing is right. I highly recommend this place and I’ve tried several. I’ll stick with this one and my kids love the coaches and front office. You can even have kids birthdays!

Have been bringing my daughter here for dance 5+ years and my son for trampoline for 3 years… love the environment and excellent teaching staff. The current dance staff is fantastic and have turned the dance program into one that I’m proud to be a part of. Go OCAD!

I enrolled my 12 month old in gymnastics here, and she has a blast! The instructors are so sweet and so good with my shy 1 year old. I plan to have my daughter come here until she chooses otherwise. I’m currently pregnant with my 2^nd daughter and she’ll be joining her sister next summer!

I’ve been taking my daughter here for 4 years. She’s done dance and gymnastics. I’m now bringing my toddler and we absolutely LOVE IT! The facility is amazing. Definitely the cleanest in the area, the staff are super knowledgeable and accommodating so i definitely recommend checking it out!

Facility great. Teachers great. I was very unhappy with the dance program last year, especially management of the recital but I’ve heard that things have changed. I look forward to seeing these changes.

Just joined here, so far the staff at the desk are not very welcoming (based on one interaction with one person, I don’t know if they have additional front desk staff). Teachers and coaches seem very friendly, but I’ve heard some concerns from other parents in the gym and dance classes about overall policies and management. We’ll give it a try. The facilitiy is very nice, a bit tricky to find at first.

We love Miss Brittany :)). They are very organized and friendly here. Threw my daughter’s birthday — huge success!

For a first time visitor to this facility to watch our niece compete I was rather disappointed in the facility. For a facility as big as it is you’d expect proper air conditioning to keep its spectators and all of their competitors comfortable. They claim fans and A/​C is running I can say the room climate had to be 90+ degrees in here.
Overall, I’d prefer to visit this site when it is winter or a much cooler climate. I can’t imagine this place operating during the summer.

Team OC Fun is NOT FUN at all! I think everyone can agree that they have a fantastic facility and very sweet dance teachers but the experience goes down from there.
Since starting, I have pulled both of my kids out of gymnastics and I will be pulling my daughter out of dance as soon as her recital is over. The administration is horrible. They are unorganized, inconsistent and lack the skills for any customer service industry. Attempting to talk to Team OC administration on any level either by phone or email is like talking to a wall. I have called and written multiple complaints to them without a response.
I began at team OC when my daughter was 18 months and it started out ok. However, through «Coach» turnover, I found myself paying for an organized «open gym». Basically, the «Coaches» set up some equipment and let the kids play with the parents for 10 – 15 minutes at each station rotating from floor, to trampoline then bars and beam. All the «Coach» does is tell you where to go and when. I realize that the children are very small, but I have been to another gym and they actually focused on each child and a specific skill on every station. Team OC coaches basically chat with the parents.
My last straw is her dance recital. Team OC has 3 dance recitals on the same day: 10:00, 12:00 and 3:30. They scheduled my daughters 3 year old dance class for the 3:30 performance. If anyone has a 3 year old, they know that 3 year olds nap and attempting to require a 3 year old to be smiling and dancing on stage during what is normally nap time is outrageous. Assuming Team OC does not know this, 5 – 6 mothers from the class complained by phone and email to the administration. Nothing was done. In fact, we were all ignored.
I used to tell everyone to join Team OC. Now I tell everyone to run as far as you can… unless you like extra frustration in your life.

Team OC is a good experience. My daughter loves coming here for dance and the teachers are so good with the kids. Its clean and the staff is great!

The gym is HUGE and very very very well equipped with balance beams, tumble tracks, floor exercise mats, bars, trampolines, etc. The mats and square pits are pretty clean, and I’ve actually seen the coaches go through each section and spray & wipe stuff down in the mornings.
My daughter started with a trial class for mommy & me (she’d just turned 3).
2 weeks later we’re signed up for the Preschool gymnastics class. 2 months later we’re now doing dance, gymnastics and more gymnastics. I feel like I live here.
The gymnastics teachers here (for the most part) are good with children. Of course some teachers are better than others, but my daughter LOVES her instructor. That’s all good with me. The preschool dance teacher has the patience of a saint.
I actually checked out Wildfire after we joined Team OC and was SO GLAD I did not sign up through the City of Irvine for Wildfire’s gymnastics program. Wildfire’s class sizes are huge (10 – 15 kids per class) as compared to Team OC and the Wildfire gym is not as nice.

The gym has a lot of money which is good, but they try to do too much so they don’t specialize in any one area. The owner also seems to have a high turn around of coaches which is not good. So I give a 1 star rating because this would be good for starting out in anything, but not to hang with once you get to a certain level.
I almost gave 2 stars because they do have a good dance/​exercise program for people who want to drop some weight. But as their name applies,
they are for fun, and anyone serious about Gymnastics of Cheer I think should go where people specialize in that sport. But this is great for little toddlers just starting out for sure.
