I just finished my first challange at the camp, Costa Mesa and I can’t say enough great things about it. The staff is very friendly and help you through every step of the way. I would definately recommend going and signing up here if you’re serious about laying wiggle abs staying healthy!

THE CAMP’S 6WEEK CHALLENGE WORKS!!! I completed the challenge May 30^th and was able to successfully drop 22.4lbs in 42 days!!! I have for some time now been trying to lose weight and my efforts have not given me the desired results. I would drop 5−8lbs here and there but that was as far as the scale would go. I literally started thinking that for the rest of my life I would wear a size 12 – 14. I started The Camp thinking that it would be awesome to go down to a size10, little did I know that once the challenge was complete I would be wearing a size 8!!! I still can’t believe that I was able to drop 20 plus pounds!!! Doing this challenge was the best decision I could have made. The Camp is filled with so many awesome people, the trainers are so dedicated and the rest of the staff is so friendly. I’m an introvert and the idea of being with so many people early in the mornings freaked me out but from day one I was greeted with warm smiles and words of encouragement. I was pushed to my limits and found strength I didn’t know I had. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing you are capable. The Camp not only transforms you physically but also mentally. i now believe in myself. I know there is strength in me and I look forward to continuing this journey with The Camp. If you are on the fence about this challenge, take a leap of faith, believe in yourself, you won’t regret it… I know I don’t!

My personal experience was an absolute HOME RUN!
I lost 30.05 lbs in 6 weeks.
The trainers — Michelle, Lalo, Jose, Mari, Joel, Dennis, Christi, Staff and everyone at the CAMP were SPOT on and I am going back for my second challenge.
There is absolutely NO way I would have accomplished this Goal without the AWESOME support from ALL the Trainers and Staff! PERIOD!
This program holds you accountable and all the trainers care about your success, and will HELP you achieve your goals. If YOU really REALLY want to make a change in your life, and are ready to work hard and COMMIT, the staff at the CAMP will help you make that change. Don’t do this for your Spouse or Partner, your Kids, your Friends, your Family, your Associates… do this for YOU and YOU alone and guess what? Your Spouse, Partner, Kids, Family, Friends, Associates will benefit because YOU will be Healthier, Happier and more Fun to be around because you will have accomplished a TREMENDOUS Goal that many will NOT complete but You Can and You Will!
I had doubt-​almost weekly maybe even daily but if you FTDI and COMMIT to what YOU want to accomplish– amazing results will come true. Every day it does get easier or shall I say you get more motivated because you start seeing some great changes taking place and you see your hard work paying off. I felt myself getting stronger, happier, healthier, and loosing weight daily.
My 6AMers fellow challengers, members, and the staff at the CAMP were Inspiring and give you the greatest support and again I would NOT have been able to be as successful without their support and motivation. Last shout out but maybe should have been the 1^st to John Yasko– THANKS for getting my Fat Butt to the CAMP.

The camp was just what I needed to jump start my journey back to health and fitness. I love the workouts and the trainers are super supportive and encouraging no matter your fitness or ability level. They really want to see you through to your goals. Everyone who was in the challenge at the same time as me were so nice and everyone cheered each other on, especially during weekly weigh ins. The nutrition plan is limited but super nutrient rich so that you don’t feel hungry and don’t have cravings. It really made me be creative with meal preparations. I woul definitely recommend the camp for anyone ready to get serious about weight loss and building their bodies back up (muscle and fitness wise).
Lastly, I will be having abdominal surgery for a prior issue, and I still was a able to lose the 20 lbs without doing any exercises involving my core. The trainers were wonderful in giving me alternative exercises to replace the core ones.

I am proud to say that I successfully completed my first 6 week challenge with The Camp Transformation Center at Costa Mesa on 5÷30÷16 and dropped 23.5 pounds. Michelle was awesome and supportive throughout my entire challenge and it really helped. Jose got me pumped up for my first work out and provided amazing encouragement throughout ending my last work out of the challenge with energy and inspiration. Mari was so supportive and I enjoyed being able to partner with her during some of my work outs; it helped me to push that much harder. Liz challenged me in every work out and was always pushing me to lift and little more and push a little further each time. The meal plan was a big change but with a little meal prepping and some determination I was able to stick to the diet and feel satisfied. I learned the importance of drinking water not just to stay hydrated in general but to kick start your metabolism and clean out your body. I’m heading in to round two with energy and enthusiasm! I can’t wait for new gains in my fitness and melting off another 20lbs! FTDI all the way!!!

Best experience ever! It’s tough but it’s worth it. I loved the camp because its not like your typical gym in which you have no idea what to do and half the time the work out are not really doing anything for you. Everyone is so supportive not just the other challengers/​members but the front desk staff, the directors and of course all the trainers. If you have the opportunity to try the camp out I highly recommend it. It really is life changing I lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks never thought I could lose that much in such a short period; but changing bad habits and making health conscience choices and of course following the meal the plan that the camp recommends is what made my weigh loss journey successful. I have another challenge coming that I am ready for. It’s not easy but if you work hard you will succeed.

WOW! I LOST 25.1 POUNDS IN 42 DAYS!!! Hard work pays off so much. I started at my heaviest weight 202.9… I’ve been so depressed and hurt every time I looked in the mirror. I felt differently internally so I felt betrayed by myself when my exterior didn’t represent me as a woman. Here I stand today, 177.8 pounds and feeling great for my accomplishments. I gained so much more than happiness. I gained control, i gained self confidence, I gained strength, and most of all, I gained my a smile that will last a life time. Thank you to all the people who have stayed by me and encouraged me. This is the first time I can say, «I did it!

I lost 24.3 pounds with the camps help, in only 6 weeks. They truly did motivate me to eat healthier, eat smaller and eat more regularly, which retrained my metabolism to work more efficiently. The fact that their is a personal trainer with you everyday to work out makes the whole experience more interactive and motivating. I never felt to pushed yet pushed just enough to help me want to push myself to achieve my goal of a healthier lifestyle.
They do ask for a $ 497 down payment for the challenge, but as they went from a 10% success rate to a 90% success rate i can see why they do it, plus when you have achieved your goal of a healthy weight they either return you your money or they offer you a greatly reduced rate to join the gym, which i did as I now know that being healthy isn’t just a diet but a lifestyle. I’m happier, more awake throughout the day and have more energy to play. Thank you thank you thank you is what i have to say to Michelle, Mary, Joel, Jose, Alfredo, Dennis, & Christi, they help you push yourself and helped me achieve the first of many goals to come.

So I went to my orientation today for the free six weeks challenge. Everything looks neat and cool but if you don’t have any funds on ya or enough money then I suggest that don’t come here in the first place. The lady and trainer whom I met and spoke to were really nice. Everyone who was doing the challenge inside the gym whom signed up before me looks great working out really hard! The great thing about this place is that it comes with a meal plan/​nutrition! Also, how encouraging the lady I was speaking to as well.
The reason why I gave it a one star rating was that you have to have a commitment deposit fee but will be given back to you if you lose 20lbs (which is the goal)
It is $ 400.00 for a deposit and if you don’t complete the 20lbs you get the money back on the pound that you lose then the rest goes to a membership!
I didn’t have any funds on me so I couldn’t deposit any money
Even if you sign up for the next challenge in person you still have to deposit some money, if you are not ready to pay then just save your time and do not step in bc after hearing your orientation they ask for a deposit fee but it’s ok if you still want to come in and check it out for yourself!
Maybe when I start working again I will sign up to join!

I am changing my 5 star review to 1 star due to the fact that I tried to cancel my month to month membership in August of 2015 due to loss of employment but Lalo talked me into suspending it for 3 months and they would reinstate it on December first but they would contact me before charging my credit card. I never heard from them and there were no charges on my credit card in December.
I was reviewing my credit card charges on January 19^th and I realized they had charged $ 127 on January 1^st without bothering to contact me. I contacted them immediately to ask for a refund and make sure no other charges would be processed. Lalo’s email response was that they had tried to contact me by phone and email. I asked for proof and never heard from them again. INSTEAD, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD AGAIN ON FEBRUARY 2ND!!!
I disputed the charges with AMEX for a second time and if they refuse to reverse them, I will be taking the Camp to small claims court.

OK, finished my second challenge with The Camp and won. I honestly think if it wasn’t for the amazing staff and the amazing members (AFF) it would be a difficult task. Workouts and trainers are beasts and they push you to your limits but make it fun. I in love with this place. I am going onto my third challenge. So far I have lost 50 lbs and am determined to lose another 20. Highly recommend anyone who is serious about changing their health to look into trying just one challenge. I guarantee you will become hooked as I have! Thank you Camp Renovation Center for saving my life!

I am so happy that I found the CAMP, it was a life changing experience in just 6 weeks. This program holds you accountable, they care about your success, and will help you achieve your goals. If you want to make a change in your life, are ready to work hard, the staff at the CAMP will help you be successful. In my first class I had some doubt– I went from working out once a week in a mild to moderate class to committing myself to at least five days a week at 5am doing cardio and lifting weights– I kept pushing and did my best.
With each day that past I felt myself getting stronger, happier, healthier, and loosing weight, I couldn’t wait to wake up at 5am to workout. The fellow challengers, members, and the staff at the CAMP give you the greatest support. Michelle, Lalo, Joel, Mari, Dennis, and Jose were our champions and cheerleaders. They give you individual support on how to train properly, check-​in on you, make every work out the very best, and they do not let you give up.
I am proud to say I lost 23.3 pounds in 6 weeks and have become a member of the CAMP. I will continue to make healthy and positive choices going forward. I am grateful for my experience at the CAMP.

Omg I made it my 1^st challenge 24.1 lbs melted… I started this challenge 6 weeks ago and the changes I’m seeing are a true motivation to continue on my journey of a healthier lifestyle. The camp has changed my life for the better. I knew it was going to be a difficult journey, but the trainers and others gave me amazing support… It gave the environment an ease and most important of all made of very fun and enjoyable.
I LOVE THE CAMP

I learned of The Camp through a friend after noticing her weight loss results. I asked her what she was doing and she mentioned The Camp and the 20lbs in 6 weeks challenge. I was skeptical at first and began doing research on The Camp. After seeing photo after photo of the amazing results I contacted the Costa Mesa location and made my appointment. After the presentation I signed up, paid the cash and was ready to start. Being a boxing trainer myself for over 10 years, it was difficult to have personal time to train when I’m focused on my clients. I needed a program away from my gym that would keep me accountable and focus on myself without any interference. The Sunday before my first day of class I prepped all my food, chicken, fish, brown rice and veggies, I was ready for The CAMP.
I would consider myself to be in okay shape going in. I’ve been around many gyms before and wondered if this class would be any good. I started my first class with Freddy and all I can say is WOW! that was a crazy ass workout! I must have done over 300 push-​ups with many different variations. I was sweating puddles and best of all his passion for training really showed. He motivates and calls you out when he sees that you’re not pushing yourself to the max. I haven’t had a workout this good and a very long time. There’s a different trainer every day and all of them have their unique style of training. In fact, all of the workouts were awesome. However, it all depends on you, how hard you are willing to push yourself.
Before The Camp, I weighed in at 180.5 lbs. I stuck to the diet about 95% percent of the time throughout the challenge. I had cheated on a few days and looking back now, I do not recommend it unless you want to do 2 a days for a week. On my final weighing I came in at 159.2, I had lost 21.5 lbs. in the 6 week challenge. I was refunded my initial payment of $ 495 after losing 20+ lbs. but I decided to roll over the money and join the year membership.
The environment is awesome, the people are great and the trainers love what they do. They hold you accountable and support you during the challenge. They give you all the tools to succeed, it’s up to you, what you do with those tools. I recommend the 20 lb. challenge to everyone that wants to make a healthy change.

This was a life changing challenge! I knew I wanted something to better my life, and was very reluctant to this 20 pounds in 42 days. But it works! If you follow the rules and really believe in the process, this is a very realistic process. It was almost instant that I found myself losing the weight, but that’s not the only thing. I am happier, I have more energy, I have been told I have this new light in my eyes. It’s not just about weight lose, but it feels like I’m finding the better version of me. You want to know why??? It’s because this wasn’t about anyone or anything else… this was something I did to better myself.
Yes, there is a deposit. It’s $ 497.00, but if you follow the rules (which are very basic), and you lose the weight… they give it back! They even have a plan for plateau’s and if your in your last days and need an emergency… they have a way to do it. It’s like they want to give you this money back! I know the money is hard, but it’s to keep you motivated and work through the struggle. But it was the best money I have ever spent on myself.
These trainers really care and really take the time to make sure your doing the exercise, but help you to modify if need be. The 300 pound person is doing the same workout as I, but I am just pushing myself at a different pace. This is possible for all shapes and sizes!
I have a new outlook on life, and its because I’m making it happen for myself. I don’t expect everyone to believe me, but I am so grateful for what this program has done for me, and I’m still continuing onto a 2^nd challenge! Here’s to 26.2 pounds down and at least another 20 more by April 11^th!

This experience was truly wonderful! A couple months ago I completed my first 6 week challenge so when I saw the opportunity to do another I signed up. I was part of the alumni challenge group and let me just say I’m happy to report I was able to lose 15 lbs plus in 5 weeks (lost21.3). With a dedication and hard work it was possible. A huge THANK YOU to the camp in Costa Mesa and Irvine for helping me through this journey. I really enjoyed all the trainers classes and challenges, never got old never boring. It really was life changing and has now become a life style for me again. So if I can do it anyone can.

I DID IT!!! I successfully completed my 3^rd consecutive challenge! I lost over 73lbs in 4 ½ months! SEVENTY THREE. I would have never thought this would happen for me 5 months ago. I worked really hard though, and I was disciplined. I received my initial deposit back of $ 497 for completing the challenge which means that I lost 73lbs for FREE. However, the relationships, the trainers, the support, the education on fitness and nutrition is invaluable. For these reasons and because I want to continue losing weight until I reach my ultimate goal, I have chosen to take my deposit that I received back from the camp and put it towards a yearly membership. Because I’m a straight shooter like I told you before lol, let’s talk money. A yearly membership is $ 997. With the $ 497 I received back, I had to put down an additional $ 500. I know what you’re thinking, «that’s too much money!» But think about it. Because I held up my end of the contract, I’m only paying $ 500 for a year. If you break that down, it’s only $ 1.37 PER DAY. Many of us spend more than that on Starbucks, lunch, etc every day. I workout 5−6xs per week and I KNOW my health and wellbeing is worth a $ 1.37 lol. Trust me. You can reach your goals! You just have to invest in yourself!!!

I just participated in the 6 week challenge and this is my required review:
I started my journey with The Camp with roughly 20 lbs to lose. I was hesitant about participating because of the relatively steep deposit (which we would get back in full if we FTDI and lose 20 lbs within 6 weeks). However, this incentive to get my money back (and get healthy) is what ultimately motivated me to FTDI to the end.
While I didn’t lose 10 lbs by week 5, I still stuck to the challenge and did tilapigus and lost a good amount of weight. I enjoyed the classes, the variety of times offered that work with my schedule, the awesome trainers and the positive energy of the fellow challengers. I didn’t lose 20 lbs by week 6 nor did I get my entire deposit back, but I’ve gained so much knowledge about how to eat and how to become a better me.
I would recommend the Camp 6 week challenge to anyone who has 20 lbs to lose or who wants to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

My husband and I love a good challenge; however, we were hesitant about the program at first. We’d done weight loss programs before, and lost 20+ pounds, but never in 6 weeks. We kept asking ourselves, «How can you possibly manage to make yourself 20 lbs lighter in just 6 weeks?!?» Well, it’s possible! And, this challenge is different than anything you’ve ever done!
Just two years ago leading up to our wedding, we were on a mission to get healthy and were pretty successful. We went to a trainer once a week, and worked out on our own at the gym, but it was nothing like coming to the Camp! Here, you’re with a trainer EVERY work out, and they don’t let you slack off. I feel we got so much more out of this experience (and, in only 6 weeks!). We’ve learned how to change our eating habits, how to really push ourselves, and most importantly, that we are not alone in our journey to get fit! The community that is «The Camp» makes a huge difference. Everyone here is in it together! From the regular members, to the 6 week challengers, to the trainers and staff; EVERYONE wants you to succeed, and they show it. Whether or not you get the support at home, you can come here and feel enabled to accomplish your goals.
I lost 24.6 lbs while on the 6 Week Challenge, and am so grateful to everyone at The Camp, Costa Mesa — Lalo, DJ, Chrissy, and all the other trainers and staff, you guys are what make this place different! So I decided to do this program to help support my girlfriend, who wanted to lose weight in time for an upcoming wedding in which she was apart of, and the program ended up changing my life for the better as well.
I’ve never been one to worry or care much about my weight (I knew I was overweight, and was whatever about it), but this program has totally changed how I eat and really how I want to live my life.
The program itself is fairly simple, but to be completely honest, it’s not easy. The workouts started out rough (as would any workouts be if you haven’t been active for awhile), but they eventually got better. The toughest part would be the food portion of the challenge. It’s not that they want you to eat anything different, it’s really how you prepare the foods, and how you go about eating it that kind of gets tough.
I saw of it kind of as a gamble on myself… I put down $ 500 dollars to bet this gym that I can beat their program, and if I «win», I get my money back. I have a gambler’s mentality, so this idea definitely made it easier for me to go along with my girlfriend. I figured, by the end of it, I’d either get my money back if I won (which I did), or if I lose, that’s money I was willing to lose, and I probably would have been on the right track to living a better lifestyle anyways.
(In a way, The Camp kind of won, because I liked the program so much, I just decided to join as a regular member)
Probably the best thing about the whole ordeal is that everybody involved with it is extremely positive. Lalo, the Camp Director, is super supportive of your journey and all the trainers I’ve encountered push you, and push you hard but they never make it seem like they demean you. Each trainer has their own style, so it keeps things interesting. Also, within the 6 weeks, I think no two workouts were exactly the same, so you never quite know what you’re getting, even if you’re on a «leg day» or «upper body day». You’re also doing this with a lot of other people, from all over Southern California, so it’s like, «Hey, we’re all in this together,» and for the most part, everybody is supportive.
IF you’re willing to make a change in your life then I highly suggest you check out The Camp TC before you join your local 24 Hour or LA Fitness (good places, but this is more personalized and more community-​ish). Or hey, if you are like how I was, and you aren’t exactly looking to change your life, but you have a gambler’s mentality… then what’s the harm?
