The Triangle

Perfect for a night out with friends. We usually go and hang out here on weekends and fridays, usually packed with people so this place is always alive. The theatre is kinda small so make sure to get your tickets/​seats early especially if you’re watching a popular movie like Dead Pool or Batman v Superman. And also on tuesday & wednesday they have deals. I think tickets are $ 4 or $ 5 per adult. Super nice

Nice always new restaurants Nice 24 hour facility and and a very nice theatre it’s always nice here clean they usually are doing maintenance on the escalators for some reason but I don’t mind taking the stairs. — one star for restaurants constantly changing and escalators. That is all :)

This place is kyute!!!
I’ll definitely need to come back here at night. I feel like this would be a great place to admire the night sky our good Father created up above. This place is for those old souls who don’t require a lot of environmental stimuli. I would suggest you to go elsewhere if you’re looking to partay or shop fir something new for yourself.

Will the owners of the Triangle please sell it! The escalators have been in constant repair for years, which shows you how poorly managed this place is. The tenants must be miserable. This location could be so much more.

Probably the most exciting thing in Costa mesa entertainment wise. While south coast is more about the shopping, this place has your various bars and restaurants. From a trendy bowling alley to a nightclub to riding a bull at saddle ranch, you can do whatever. You can even go to the gym if the mood strikes. Parking is pretty awful so I prefer the valet. It’s an ok place to go every now and then when you are a local and don’t want to venture out.

I love Triangle Square. They have movies, dinner and entertainment and of 24 Fitness. The parking can be a headache, which is why I gave it a 3 stars. The bottom level B2, is basically for 24 Fitness and when people park in B2, and go up and party and eat, they are taking the gym goers spot. You have to plan it, and get there earlier than 5:00. When it is 5;00, I don’t go because of parking. For several months the stairs have been blocked off and the escalators haven’t been working, which forced us to walk up to the movies and then down to B2 to work out.

Is the Triangle is finally becoming relevant?
Formerly «Triangle Square» this renamed once barren wasteland in retail is making somewhat of a resurgence after suffering a two decade long identity crisis. I recall when it opened to the public with great fanfare offering flagship locations of Virgin Music, Niketown and Barnes and Nobles all as anchor franchises. None of these survived (although Niketown made a great run) and hundreds of tenants have come and gone over the last 20+ years mainly thanks to the management being inept and the fact that the place felt thrown together and… well, just boring.
Fast forward to today and the newly minted Triangle may finally be starting to figure it out. The Yardhouse was the first new tenant in over 15 years that anyone cared about opening and thanks to the owner of The Goathill Tavern dropping the equivalent of a hip hop diss track in the OC Register, they got all of the press they could ask for free of charge (and I believe The Yardhouse still has more taps). Then Saddle Ranch Chop House moved. Soon Saddle Ranch Chop House, H20 Sushi, Olive Branch Pizza/​Black Knight Gastro Lounge and even TAVERN + BOWL joined the party turning The Triangle into a spot you would actually stop at if in Costa Mesa. I have even heard rumors of Creamisrty opening a location in a few months. Fancy that, times have certainly changed.
With The Spectrum, Fashion Island and SCP all closer to me and let’s face it… all three remain better venues, chances are I will continue to pass by The Triangle while trying to head east on the 55 but I am happy for the locals who have dealt with this worthless monolith in their backyards for so long with no reason.

Worst parking lot ever. These parking attendants still direct you to park knowing there is no parking.

Parking is an absolute night mare at this center. Parking in error in a valet spot will cost you plenty after being towed, instead i would suggest that the Valet company just charge the individual for using their parking space especially since we spent well over 100.00 dollars while visiting the restaurants and cinema. I would recommend fashion island much higher than The Triangle AKA Triangle square as the management is much friendlier there. Beware where you leave your car. they are viscous towers waiting to make a huge amount of cash here.

The triangle is owned by a bunch cheap a holes that won’t fix the damn escalators and elevators. In return is costing me business, so maybe I should file a civil suit

Ordinarily this wouldn’t be my kind of place, but they allowed our friend’s dogs to hang with us on the patio (take that, Yard House!) There were one or two decent beers on special, and the apps that we tried were pretty good. Free shots at the end. Thanks, Saddle Ranch!

Interesting that Olive Branch gets top billing here. We tried their pizza, and it was OK. It needs more sauce and less cheese, but the small pie was so big that my wife and I couldn’t even finish it, and the price was right. They have a couple of good draft beers, and they’re reasonably priced, too.

This place is a mixed bag. Some apps are quite good, and they have a great beer selection, but service can be really spotty. Sitting at the bar is probably your best bet. Wednesday Trivia nights are fun, especially with that extended happy hour.

Very cool outdoor patio that reminds me of being on vacation. Hilarious people watching. Try the chicken taquitos and the Ginger Lime Margaritas. The late-​night happy hour with $ 5 margaritas and 50% off featured apps can’t be beat.

Let’s just say that I’m not in their target demographic, and I probably wasn’t twenty years ago. If you are, sign up for the guest list. Pregame. Bring earplugs.
OK, that’s all I got. Parking is rarely an issue because I can walk here. We just found out that using Über to get here can be as cheap as OCTA. Be responsible! I wish that I could recommend biking, but my friends got their bikes stolen from here about ten meters from the security station.

The Triangle has definitely changed over the past few years. With the new remodeling and the addition of the Yard House and the bowling lanes, the Triangle has definitely changed for the better. It is now more of a center where you can get good food, bowl, or just simply hangout with friends. The Triangle has changed itself from being not only a movie theater, but also a center full of attractions and entertainment for all to enjoy.

Bid improvements, great restaurants. The management is cheap and they cut corners. It seems that the elevators are always broke and there is lots of graffiti on the glass but this place is still fun for dinner, a movie and cocktailing.

This is a great place!
It’s been remodeled and it’s a really great hang out spot. It’s just off the freeway and easy to locate. The indoor parking structure is free and spots should be easy to find if you come right before dinnertime.
Pretty crowded most of the time. It’s a pretty big space, which is great for walking around. Lots of outdoor seating. Clean and things look very new.
They have a variety of restaurants, shops, nightclub, movie theater (5 dollars all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays), and bowling alley here.

I heart The Triangle! It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I live 2 blocks away! And disregard that my gym is here, I go to the triangle theater many times a week and my current romantic interests is a bartender at Saddleranch! I heart this place! Ride my huge or leave my car for a couple days or walk home. It’s a beautiful plaza and part of the reason I pay such high rent! Best area in Orange County!

The Triangle is actually a triangle! Years of obliviousness was no fun, I’ll tell you that. There’s not too much going on at The Triangle other than food, food, movies, and a bowling ally. I’ve been to here about 5 – 6 times only to be kind of bored every time, with the exception of the Unilocal Event here. The crowd is an eclectic mix from ABGs, to mega hipsters, to the jocks and cheerleaders, surfers, and druggies. I just never felt like I belonged at The Triangle. I can’t call this place family friendly or that I feel drama free here… drunk girls who think they can hang is just no bueno.

About three months ago, the better half and I attended a CMYE at Costa Mesa 55 Tavern + Bowl (
) and one of the perks for attending was a complimentary car wash (
) which is connected with the valet service in the parking structure.
The car wash is only available Thursday thru Saturday from 5:00PM to Midnight (if you are thinking those are funky hours, you would be correct) and you get free valet parking (
) with a car wash. Valet will run you $ 6.00 before and $ 10 after 10:00PM and valet is available 7 days a week.
Upon arrival, I presented my complimentary wash card to the valet, I was given a claim ticket and informed it would take between 1 ½ and 2 hours to clean the car. 2 hours? What are they doing? Cleaning the car with toothbrushes?
Rohlinism: It is better to not ask a question than to get an answer you didn’t want to know!
Too late now, guess I should have asked before I drove this far out of my way. The only thing left to do is to see what The Triangle has to offer in the way of entertainment.
Coming out of the parking garage, I found a directory (
) for The Triangle. If you haven’t figured it out already, The Triangle is aptly named because the center is in the shape of a triangle. Browsing the list of businesses, I realized I was in a bit of trouble, if you are not here to eat or drink (or both), there really isn’t much to do here. Sutra Nightclub wasn’t even open yet (or didn’t appear to be open) and there wasn’t enough time to catch a flick at Starlight Triangle Cinemas. Workout at 24 Fitness? Gym memberships are for suckers! Become a Bronze God at Rockstar Tan? Have you seen my complexion? I make ghosts look tan! Pick up some vitamins at GNC? I am sure those will mix well with my junk food diet! The only options left are a game of ten pin at Tavern + Bowl (my guess the wait for a lane would be way longer than two hours), grab a drink or both. I am still trying to figure out who thought a sport that requires you to chuck a hard, round 12 to 16 lb. object at other objects would go great with the serving of alcohol. My guess is he was probably hit in the head one too many times by the aforementioned hard, round object.
Since I wasn’t prepared for a sit down meal, I was relegated to wandering from level to level checking out the restaurants and their menus. The restaurants are on the second level and so is this (

I thought La Vida offered some very interesting Mexican cuisine and their patio area was awesome. There were several fireplaces throughout and a guitarist providing live traditional music this night. Probably the most perplexing thing was the Olive Branch and Black Knight sharing the same space. You figure the business owners would have put their heads together and played «Each of these names are not like the other!» Talk about some contrasting business names!
I won’t say my two hour (yup it was two hours) wait went quickly, but it did eventually come to an end. I picked up my vehicle and I have to admit it was probably the best basic wash I have ever had performed on any vehicle I have owned. My better half plans on using her complimentary car wash in the future.
In the end, this is probably going to be attractive to locals mostly on the weekends, but there is nothing here that would catch the eye of a tourist and if you are not coming here to eat, your options are very limited. Hopefully in the future, they will be able to add some diversity to this center.

I think this is a great location, many great choices for restaurants and bars along with a movie theater, bowling alley and gym. I like that there is a wide variety to choode from so you can bar hop easily.

I’ve been to the Triangle on a number of occasions, to go places such as Yardhouse, Saddle Ranch, H2O, 24 Hour fitness, Sutra, and a few other ones. I’ve never had any unpleasant experiences, but many great, epic experiences here!
It’s a marvelous place to go to if you’re coming here to relief your long and stressful day at work or a place to hang out with friends… They have quite a variety of selections of various food and drinks (including Mexican, Asian, American). They also have a good selection of entertainment (including a pool hall, a club, a movie theater, and even a mechanical bull!) I’ve been on the bull before and it’s a must go if you have not tried it!
I’ve never had any parking issues with this structure and as and added bonus, it’s free to park at the structure! (unlike Anahiem Gardenwalk) I know it can get quite challenging on Friday and Saturday nights but i’ve always managed to find parking without a problem.
Highly recommended if you haven’t been, its an exciting place to wine, dine, hang out, and/​or dance the night away! :)

Before yesterday, I hadn’t been to The Triangle (it’ll always be Triangle Square to me) in probably over a decade. Why the lapse? Well, for many solid years, there was nothing worth visiting this centre for.
Over the past year/​year and a half, it’s really come back to life. And the establishments look like they might last!
This is definitely a place to come if you’re in the mood for food, or seeking some beverages. Between Saddle Ranch, El Corazon, and Yard House, you can eat, eat, eat and drink, drink, drink.
I came here for brunch at one of the restaurants, but definitely want to come back for some evening fun.
Saddle Ranch and El Corazon have outdoor seating, which is great for the summertime.

I’m excited to see that they’ve done something with this center — a great place to stop in, if you want to avoid the beach scene, but still want a mini food/​bar crawl.
