Tom Brothers Auto Body & Paint

My family has been going to Tom Brothers both under previous ownership — which we found competent and very competitively priced — and under new management — and our recent experience has been nothing less than outstanding.
I always get an Estimate from other firms before going to Tom’s — and every time – without telling them the «the price to beat” — they offer the best price. Additionally I recently needed the car finished and returned in brief time frame — without any change in the price quote — management offered to put more workers on repair and meet my request.
Over last year I have brought in my daughter’s car, my grandson’s car and my car (I was hit!) — all European /​Japanese models.
Finally, because of the consistent high quality workmanship, pricing advantage and professional and personal responsiveness of the management team — I referred them to my son, sister’s family and most recently, my business Partner — who has 4 sons driving — and separately all have thanked me for referring them to Tom’s.
I feel Tom’s is a «special secret» that I have shared previously with my family — and now in the New Year, happily sharing with others!

I have been going to this body shop for 2 years now for both my cars. The previous reviewer must have had a bad experience with the previous owners, whom I never met. The current owner and staff are nothing less than exceptional. They provide high quality work in a timely manner. I’ve had my bumpers painted on my black sapphire metallic BMW, and I can testify that they do a fabulous job. They use quality paint, don’t skimp on clear coat layers, and do the best buffing I’ve seen to date (I’ve been to McLaren Unibody in Lake Forest and other shops for previous paint work). Their work matches the original paint perfectly, and I am very detail-​oriented when it comes to these things. I highly recommend them to family, friends, and fellow Unilocalers.

Ugh I’ve seen too much of this place in the past. My parents are bad drivers, so I’ve consistently seen this place at least once a year since 2000. And the only reason my parents come to this place is because the owner is Vietnamese and gives them a good deal because they’re Viet.
The service here, I must say, is quite horrible. They take forever to finish the work, and they don’t call you to tell you that the work is done. You have to call them. I called them once about my car and they told me it’s been ready for 3 days. I rented a car, so you can tell how pissed I was at that point.
Furthermore, the work was shoddy. Stuff wasn’t put on correctly, there was overspray, small scratches that didn’t exist before. I hate this place with a passion. And sorry, owner man that I forgot the name of, but my parents may come to you continually but I won’t. I’d rather pay the extra you’re saving them for good work instead of the crap work your shop offers.
