Our student-focused culture, technical approach, and commitment to education through innovation lay the foundation for successful cosmetology careers.

History

Established in 2010.

What began as a single salon near London, England, in 1963 has evolved into a worldwide brand synonymous with beauty education, fashion, quality, and innovation. The same passion that drove us to become leaders in the salon industry drives the success of our cosmetology schools, known as TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academies, worldwide.

Our beauty schools and hair salons have earned a global reputation for excellence through uncompromising quality and consistently updating our students, hair stylists, and technicians with the latest techniques.

Our Costa Mesa cosmetology school, nestled in the South Coast Plaza, opened its doors to aspiring hairstylists and salon clients back in 2010.

Meet the Manager

Rachel B.

Manager

What is the best industry– or technique-related advice you have ever been given? To utilize your team for their strengths and help support them in their weaker areas. Instead of focusing on what they are not doing well, focus on what they are doing well and try to build up their confidence. This way you are getting the best you can get out of people, and your team feels valued. Bruno Mascolo told me that when I first became a director, and it always stayed with me.

What is the best industry– or technique-related tip you can offer students? Set your goals, and keep your focus on them. It’s important to have a clear direction in your career. If you work hard, treat other people with respect, and let everyone know what your goals are, people will want to help you reach them.

What is your fondest memory of your time as a beauty school director? My favorite thing is watching each of my team members grow and seeing how they are inspired to step up and take on more responsibility.
