Sinking ship now that the owner and main knowledge source passed away a few weeks ago. RIP Mr. Harry Appleby.

Good group! these guys know there stuff and especially Lotus, Jaguars and other high end cars. I trust there opinion and ability to get the job done. They have been working on my Lotus Esprit for years and i won’t go anywhere else.

After reading all these positive reviews and other shills talking about how great Viking is with Lotuses, I spent the money to have my Esprit shipped there for a number of jobs. What a mistake! It took 5 weeks to do what should have taken less than a week, and almost everything was done wrong or sloppy. Took me a month to get everything right and fix scratches in the paint and other damage done by his monkeys. $ 8,000 down the tubes! He’s one of the best con-​man in the business. Real sweet talker. Tons of horror stories came out from other owners after it was already too late for me. Don’t make the same mistake!

I have a Lotus Elise and had a short somewhere in the car. I had independent shops and lotus dealers look at it and they quoted me just about $ 4000 for a new harness and installation with a weeks wait time. I took it to Harry in the morning and he had it ready for me in the afternoon the same day. To top it all off, they found an easy fix which only cost me $ 207. This is the second time Viking has come through, unlike those morons who tried to over charge me parts and labor.
Here’s the low down. If you want your car to be fixed by people who are honest, reliable, and puts customers first, go to viking.
if you want to get raped by prices and treated like an idiot with a fat wallet, go somewhere else.

I will never take my car into the dealership again! Harry (owner) is a very straight forward and honest guy. They show you all the work that they’ve done and pricing is VERY reasonable! This place provides a really good service I highly recommend them!

I have a Lotus Esprit Turbo Commerative Edition 88. As of this writing has just over 41(k) miles. Purchased in 04 from a collector that never drove it. This car was made to driven and the lack of activity caused issues with it. Over the years Harry and his team have performed major repairs and upgrades at or typically below cost and stand by their work. They also have a tendency to sort things out I was aware of but did not mention and fix them for free. Without question he is one of the top Lotus experst in all of North America and a fine honest businessman. He is a Lotus Fan and it shows in his work and overall attention to detail.
If you have a British car of any make no brainer take it to Viking .you can thank me later.
Keep in mind I have seen the following in his shop :
Jag, Austin Martin, Jensen Inteceptor, F2 Racers, Porche, Vintage F1 Racers, SAAB, Bently, RR etc-​are in play as well. I have even seen them under the hood of a Maserati or 2

Excellent shop for Lotus, Jaguar, Land Rover and any other British car. Maybe ANY car for that matter. I have had them work on my Lotus Esprit’s (two of them) as well as my Land Rovers and I must say the prices are good, the repairs well done and the attitude is friendly and engaging. Just about everything you’d expect from a good repair shop, but never seem to find. Good place, good people.

I just picked up my 2006 Range Rover Sport from a 60,000 mile service plus a dead battery problem and a few other minor problems. Harry, the owner, is a very polite and knowledgeable gentleman that took a very serious interest in my vehicle from start to finish. He introduced me to the technician that did the work who was very proud of solving the issues. Prior to my visit, I called around for an estimate, the dealerships quoted me at least $ 1,400 plus all their garbage fees like disposal fees, shop fees — one even had a uniform fee! Harry quoted my $ 850 for the service and 2 days to complete. Exactly 24 hours after I dropped it off, Harry called tell me it was ready. When he gave me the bill, it was exactly $ 850.89. It seven better than that… the battery needed to be replaced which was $ 192 less a warranty credit they arranged for me of $ 50. Bottom line… expected a $ 1,000 bill but it was only $ 850 which was the quote for just the 60,000 mile service and it was done 1 day before it was promised. I wish I could rate them as 6 stars!

Being a collector of classic Jaguar cars, I was in a real bind to find an experienced professional who was qualified to work on such hard to find (and hard to work on) English classics.
A friend referred me to Viking Motorsports (and it’s owner Harry Appleby) and they did some fantastic work to one of my cars. Additionally, they were about ½ the price of what I was expecting to pay!
Viking specializes in English cars, so as one can imagine the parking lot is filled with Jaguar’s, Lotus’s, Rolls Royce’s, Bentley’s, and the lot.
The are really some of the best here in Southern California for English cars. I HIGHLY recommend them!
