Such a beautiful complex! We love living here and have been here mostly for 5 years. They upkeep the grounds always, maintenance are great. We have no plans on leaving anytime soon.

Cool, were still here, still nice, quiet, and safe. Still loving it here, been over 3 years.

Thought this was the place I could stay for a few years

Wimbledon Glenn took our deposit AND continues to write us bad references that have caused us to miss out on apartments. We didn’t vacuum or clean the place very well when we moved out, we are busy, working professionals, our bad I guess… you would think such an expensive place (1425 $ for a studio) could afford a little clean up. We were never ONCE late on rent. We were respectful, quiet tenants who enjoyed our time living here but do not appreciate the reviews that continue to make moving very hard for us. You took the deposit and that should have been enough.

Just moved in and so far I love it! My one bedroom is so big, the patio is huge and I love the neighborhood. No guest parking is a bit of a pain, but oh well, nothing else I looked at had any either. Management has been fabulous from start to finish. John was very knowledgable and made the whole process easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend living here!

I’ve lived at the Wimbleton Glen for over three years it is one of the most well-​kept Properties that I’ve ever lived in. The leasing staff and the maintenance staff are on top of their game, professional, courteous and pleasant. I would recommend Wimbleton Glenn to my family or friends five star all the way live up to their word luxury apartment living.

You had me at we’ll tow your car.
There’s no way I would subject my self or my guests to being towed. Especially after reading the other review how the guys wife lost her job because of this places tow happiness. That’s ruff and policy’s have still not changed.
I just recently walked the property with their leasing agent. They told me right away that parking is an issue and if you have a guest park in your dedicated spot with your parking tag inside of it they will tow your friends car.
What ever idiot thought of that was the reason why I’m writing this review and not moving in.
They don’t care because they like to say they are above 98% occupancy lol prove it, I doubt that.
All the units come with an out door area to place a washer dryer but they do not provide them. They rent them to you… That’s what I call customer appreciation. Throw me a fricken bone here other then the free chips and water on the walk through with the amount rent you’re asking for and all the utilities. You couldn’t sucker me in that’s for sure.

I don’t give 5 star reviews often but I gave a 1 star review to the complex I lived in before — the coronados in Newport (don’t ever!!! Live there) so moving here to wimbledon glen has been a huge relief.
First off — the staff is beyond polite, attentive and inviting. They know my name and greet me with it.
The complex is very cute and quaint. It’s quiet and inviting. I would sayy only issue is how they run parking. It doesn’t make sense to not have a code on the gate. I live all the way at the back and I have ppl pick me up all the time. So I have to walk alllll the way out to the front — which is very in convienant. Also I have a garage and a pass — which is awesome so that my guest can have a spot. BUT the way they organize it doesn’t work for me because I work in the nightlife industry and sometimes it’s after 7pm when someone will come hang out or come over and they make you have the license plate registered in the office even tho the pass is also hanging in the car. I can’t call on it later so it just doesn’t help me at all.
I can’t take a star away for all of that for two reasons. 1: they told me when I moved in — actually when I moved In there was a key pad to punch in the code so I guess scratch that.
2: when I first moved In my car was towed and they called and paid for it to be released. For that I was VERY thankful. They didn’t have to do that.
My apartment — I LOVE IT. Washer, dryer, AC, garage — can’t beat it. I def pay a lot but it’s very worth it to me. I’m a young girl who lives alone and I just feel safe.

Here is my third and final review, we have been here one full year next month and our lease is about to end. we will not be renewing our lease but our time here has been good.
Pros:
+Neighbors are awesome; only had a problem with one, the rest are great!
+Maintenance team is good. (most of the time)
+Location is awesome!
+Nice landscapes for cats to play.
+Pool is clean and never crowded all year long.
+Staff is nice and they care about their residents.
+Huge patio on some of the units.
Cons:
–No guest parking and people get towed here all the time! (even residents)
–They have an outside contract with a parking company so they don’t control parking.
–Noise from the freeway sucks, if your going to rent here do it on the quiet side.
–The appliances are outdated in our unit, some units have been upgraded.
–When we flush the toilet or wash our hand in the sink the shower gets so hot it can actually burn you pretty bad if your not careful.
–There was supposed to be a resident appreciation day, but they cancelled it with no follow up why, no sure why they said this and then never followed through.
Overall this was a great place to spend a year, but I am ready to look for something else.

My partner and I were looking to relocate as near South Coast Plaza as possible. We began our search at South Pointe, a nearby Arnel property. We met with Jennifer, the wonderful leasing agent, and saw a unit. She knew we were looking for a larger place AND looking to find a semi-​permanent home. She suggested we have a look at Wimbledon Glen.
We came that afternoon, met Jon — the warm and professional manager of the property, and saw an available unit and really fell in love. The place was built as condos, not rentals, so the ceilings are high (9ft) and you don’t hear your neighbors — nice, thick insulated walls. The entryways aren’t on top of each other. There are TWO pools and spas. And the landscaping is immaculate. It really feels removed from the great urban sprawl right outside the gates. Yes, leaves do fall on your patio, but I’d rather have forty and fifty foot Eucalyptus trees that offer shade and character than nothing to block the sun.
Our patio was a significant draw. It really feels like an additional living area and the sunlight makes for great patio gardening. We RELISH evenings on the patio scented by our home-​grown lavender, basil and rosemary with a gin and tonic in hand.
Day-​to-​day living here is lovely and we can heartily recommend it, but it’s a problem where you can really test the mettle. Our unit had been vacant for a couple weeks when we moved in and a plumbing issue presented itself on our first full day. Hey! It happens all the time! Well, Jon had Ramon (just one of the talented, professional on-​site maintenance staff) to our unit in 15 minutes. FIFTEEN MINUTES! Not only did I feel completely at ease with Ramon in our unit, but he thoroughly explained the problem, the steps he would take to remedy it, and how long it would take. THEN, Jon showed up at our door with a bottle of champagne for our trouble.
We are very satisfied with our first four months here and fully expect to be here for years. Both of us work at the plaza and a short commute was important, but that one mile’s distance feels like twenty by the time we’re home. We love the feeling we have coming home — work seems like a memory every time we turn the key.

Have lived in the Wimbledon Glen Luxury Apartments for four years now. Through the years the complex has rotated through several sets of Managers. At times we wondered why all of the changes although now that John Barrett is the Manager we understand the Management having to filter through so many to find a manager like John. He is always polite and seems to be filling the vacancies with the types of people we like to live around.
The grounds are kept immaculate with regards to the landscaping and especially enjoyed are the number of trees. I’ve owned homes, ranches and apartment buildings myself and have coped with all of the maintenance of ownership. When anything, I mean even the smallest of repairs or maintenance is required the management at Wimbledon Glen sees to it that one of their many many maintenance engineers takes care of the problem immediately.
I’ve noticed other reviews posted but also can tell you that the folks writing the reviews (many of them) are problem tenants to begin with.
The ‘hassle-​free’ living as well as the location in regards to freeways, shopping and restaurants couldn’t be better. My wife and I can walk to any of three shopping malls which are approximately a half mile from the complex to eat, shop or just for the exercise.
I highly recommend this luxury space if you are looking to live in a quiet, well maintained property where the owner actually cares about his property.

This is my first pleasant experience with a leasing community. I signed up for a spacious studio apartment and now I am finishing up my first year in the community. It’s been great: everyone at the main office is friendly and courteous, whenever I need something repaired it’s done same day and with no hassle, and I’m central to various shopping/​restaurant/​/​market/​entertainment options. If you like quiet, well-​maintained communities definitely take this spot into consideration.

Accept the location, the place just horrible!
If you looking to get phone calls every other day with some b. s and to be moved from one garage to another once in a while and don’t let forget, to be yelled and pushed by the office stuff that’s a place for you!
Do your self a favor and skip this one, there are many of them in the area that much nicer and no attitude

CONS– false advertising (was promised things and not given), pool is always dirty, bugs and spider infested, payment system is RIDICULOUS!!! Always sneaking in extra fees! If u ask them to give you a call back they won’t unless it’s the first to ask about their check! The place is EXTREMELY overpriced! The staff doesn’t give a crap about any of their residents! Parking is actually an issue at night people who don’t belong their will park in the residential parking and stay overnight, and don’t bother calling the towing company cause they are NOT going to do anything about it oh and also! My car now has PERMANENT SPOTS (all over the vehicle) FROM CALCIUM DEPOST FROM THEIR SPRINKLERS! Living at Wimbledon glen has has affected my life with funds and vehicle issues! I will never recommend this place to anybody and I really hope you read this before making your decision to where you live! Good luck

The end of my lease is coming up soon, so I inquired to the third manager I think I’ve seen since I’ve first signed my lease here. (Yes, the third manager.) I wasn’t too surprised when I saw the second manager, because the first group of folks who I was working with at Wimbledon Glen caused some frustrations while I was moving in.
My initial thoughts were this place would be great, I didn’t research any reviews, but I went there on a whim and they had a great deal for new tenants, so I gave it a shot. After dropping of my deposit and first month’s rent, it was agreed I’d be given my keys to begin moving. My moving was pushed back one day because they did not hold this part of the agreement. They tried to make up some lies as an excuse and I caught them, they didn’t apologize.
Later, I come to find out they didn’t replace the latches in my garage storage closet, because they had been previously broken into. Whatever, I figured it must’ve been a small hiccup.
The first management team told me the place was in good shape and had been remodeled a while ago and had new appliances, but I wasn’t able to view it because it had been in use. They showed me a similar unit before I signed the lease, but upon moving in, I saw their idea of remodeling was to coat the old counter tops with a heavy coat of white acrylic paint. Oh yay! Looks new… aside from the spots you can tell seeped through the tape and the damaged wood-​texture laminates beneath.
Still being a pretty clean place, and having somewhat new carpet, I didn’t rant about it. Then my dishwasher broke down, twice. My carpet has begun to tear at a few seams and has wrinkles, and my patio is always covered in leaves and crap from the surrounding trees.
I didn’t mind other tenants, people seem to keep to themselves. There’s not much sense of community here, aside from the time I tried to meet the new neighbors whom I share a garage with. Yes, some garages are private, but mine is shared with two other units. Some idiot left the garage door open, so I had about $ 900+ worth of stuff stolen from my storage area.
There isn’t any real security nor a sense of security. The «gated» community always has people waiting at the gates to come in and out, people always call my unit from the telecom even though I don’t know who the heck they are, but they eventually get in. On top of that, parking is always taken without any permits even though management tells you that you must receive a permit for guests to park. It’s an issue because my truck won’t fit into my garage, but management said each unit has 2 spots guaranteed. If you get home late though, good luck trying to find a convenient spot. Guest parking is nearly non-​existent.
People have BBQs on their patios even though I was told they’re not allowed, so during the summer you get delicious clouds of smoke flowing through your windows.
No pets allowed. Except for the tremendous amounts of dogs people have, the outdoor cats that poop everywhere, and I saw a cute raccoon twice!
There’s some dude who lives in a garage, or turned his garage into a den (fridge, couch, etc.) so I guess management didn’t tell him there’s «no storage in the garages» where you’re supposed to park your vehicle.
Think I also saw a few junkies coming in and out a few times during a drug deal I think. I’m guessing they might’ve stole my stuff, but the old management didn’t seem to care much even though I reported it.
Like I said, my lease is coming to an end soon. Not sure whether I’m extending it or not. I’m understanding that not every management office and apartment community could be perfect. The maintenance crew here is great though. Wish I could say the same about management, I just see them when I pay the bill and they’ve never introduced themselves to me or announced new employees/​changes. Very impersonal.
Bottom line: This place is… OKAY. The few months I was alone in the 4plex were nice. I wish you luck renting here. Hope management picks up the ball.

I’ve been here a couple of weeks now, and I love this place…1,400 square feet gives us PLENTY of room… we’re in the back so I don’t hear any noise form my neighbors… yes there are kids around, but not enough to be a bother… yes, we do have some idiots park and take up two spaces, but my old place — I had to park 5 blocks away… here I am always close… the pool is nice and not loaded with noisy kids… my place was freshly painted and new carpets installed… any problem I had was dealt with IMMEDIATELY… the air conditioning is a godsend… I do get freeway noise through my window but that’s why I have the air on all the time… the location is terrific with LOTS of food places nearby and the Metro movies are two blocks away… the rent is a bit higher, but so be it… it’s 24 hour gated and so far, that’s great… my old place had a place to ride my mountain bike on dirt trails and that’s the one big thing I miss… boring riding on the streets in the morning before work… my only complaint…

BEWARE!!! This place looks nice but is falling apart all over and as everyone stated, the rent is sky high!!! In the end, I rented over at 3400– and it’s the best place to live in the area, luxury at it’s best. After I moved into to 3400, I received a bill from the collection department at Wimbledon Glen for about $ 40– for what??? what a shock… They totally ripped me off. and ruined their reputation for $ 40??? Idiots. What kind of business are they running over there? Yes, the whole place is sitting right next to the 405 and this freeway is rumbling ²⁴⁄₇. I hear that 2^nd hand car exhaust fumes are not good for :-) If you live there now, I truly feel for you.

Pros: spacious apartments, good parking, quiet neighbors, good location
Cons: overpriced rent, horrible rental office staff, bathrooms and kitchens need renovation, old carpeting, water bill is not based on your own usage.
If it wasn’t convenient for work, probably wouldn’t live here.

Lived at Wimbledon Glen for a year.
The apartments are extremely old. The exterior seems to be falling apart everywhere. The balconies are completely rotting and breaking into pieces. The interior of the apartments are fine but all of the counter tops are gross and dingy. All cabinets closets and every other part of the interior has been painted over 9001 times its very disgusting. The carpet is replaced every 7 years…
The freeway is up wind to the apartments so everything is always covered in brake dust and tire dust which is great for your lungs!
The management is the worst they’re switched out every 2 or 3 months. They also have some type of coupon system which is annoying.
But it’s very quite community as of 2010. I think this is mostly because this property is at less than 60% occupation.
