I came in looking for a really durable, but quality camping shovel after REI didn’t have one and ended up getting exactly what I needed plus some really amazing advice. The owner is a veteran and I was probably just lucky I came in during off hours because he told me all kinds of awesome camping tricks he used while in the field and how to keep your gear up. If he has the time, he’ll hook you up with tons of great information.
I’m not a novice backpacker, but his advice was well worth the trip, plus I got the gear that I needed. Thanks for reminding me about the DEET! I’ll definitely come back!

They don’t regularly stock a lot of ACU stuff — just law enforcement and Coast Guard, which makes sense, but isn’t there a National Guard armory in Santa Rosa? They wear ACU’s too. ..
The prices are good, and the staff was friendly. If you are looking for the old BDUs they have a lot of those, and I think you can order name tapes there as well. Worth checking there first before making the drive up to Travis.

I found the CUTEST army green military hat ever. The have all kinds of army pants, shirt, massive amounts of camo, kids army stuff, hats, belts, those big old army phone/​radio things, its awesome.
