The Sage hen is the home of the late Lu Watters, known all over the world by jazz lovers for his famous San Francisco style Yerba Buena Jazz Band. His Cotati home offers a peaceful retreat for vacationers who want to explore the wine country, coastal beaches or neighboring Valley of the Moon made famous by Jack London. The Sage Hen Strut was a popular song Lu wrote in 1944, just prior to composing Hambone Kelly.
